Great video. Helped me. Like you I can't find a good video. One thing you can do to make better vids is get a light ring if don't have 1 and don't put truck so close to camera when pointing something out it got real blurry. Other than that 10 out of 10 video bro thank you
I ordered a pinion gear set 19t to 22t but they seem waaaay smaller than the stock pinion. Trying to get a 21t . What brand and where can i get one? Thanks
Tks Bru c! So I have some 3.8 proline badlands I slapped on my Maxx and tweaked my driveshafts from full throttle launches on pavement. Its also getting way shorter run times What tooth pinion would u recommend? And what do u think of steel spur? Gotta replace that too
I have this exact problem on my widemaxx less run time because of 3.8 badlands and I'm stripping both pinnion and spur I bought a 20 pinnion with my 50t spur and it won't mesh at all
@@wyattwilson4017 one answer and one only bin the big wheels no good for it get some nice pro line lp perfect for max mate if your still struggling change your gearing ratio make sure your motor mount is solid and not moving on impact that will cause slipping the big wheels just aren't worth the damage they cause as beautiful as they are
Hey I'm from denmark. I running stock gearing on my maxx. I want to upgrand to at bigger one. Which on will you recommend, i want it to be as fast as possible, but stil be able to drive In grass and mud. Thanks
No one does like a super up close view for some strange reason. I mean sorry, but we need to see the process up close and not the people doing them. At the end smile, take a bow and just thank people for watching.
Well Billy since your such a professional why don't you make your own channel my guy. Then you can show us how a pro does it. If you don't like what or how he's doing it don't watch.

very good video. i just bought a used maxx and it makes a grinding noise when rolling back n forth is this normal?
No grinding sounds , believe when rolling back a d forward should hear gears clicking
@@2ManyHobbies16 its probably what im hearing. My 2wd stampedes dont make that type noise so im not used to it
What pinion size did you go with and what pin hole did you use?? I’m running a 50t steel spur with a 20t pinion on pin hole A
19 tooth buddy and been awhile since I did it check on traxxas website. Don't want to tell you wrong thing and mess your gears up
How did you do this? As I'm trying these gears now amd they won't mesh at all

Not sure my friend I have the stock gearing and the thing rips pretty good. Plus keep in mind it likes to roll over would not gear up to much more
@@2ManyHobbies16 my brother got a new car, and i want to keep up with him. 🤣🤣 but yes it rips pretty nice with stock. 👍 thanks
I’d like to do the same on mine!do you have a part # for the 20t gear you used?
Traxxas part number is 6449x spur gear metal
Thanks!!
Robinson raceing extra hard is 1220

snap on much??? your r rear is directionaly back wards???
All traxxas vehicle manuals are on their site under " support "
Throw the pin away and use a piece of paper between the spur and pinion. 20/54 gearing is best for Erevo tires.
please explain why paper instead of pin
