Jerry Reed is a singer, songwriter & musician. A Country Music Legend. He has many funny songs, "When you're hot, you're hot," "Who put the line in gasoline," "The bird," "Guitar man," "She got the goldmine, l gotthe shaft,"
I loved the reaction! Jerry Reed was a talented guitar player, singer, and songwriter! He was respected and admired by many guitar players and musicians! Among the top guitarists that admired Jerry were Chet Atkins, who duo'ed with him many times, and Glen Campbell, part of the famous L.A. studio musicians known as "The Wrecking Crew".
Jerry Reed, singer, songwriter, great guitarist, actor and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Other songs of his, East Bound and Down, The Bird, When You're Hot, You're Hot, and She Got the Gold Mine, I Got the Shaft. Great song and great reaction
Yes, too short! I love your reaction! This is my fav Jerry Reed song (and that bass and funk background - love it!) I just can't hold still listening to this - and I see that you couldn't either lol! I was lucky enough years ago to see Jerry Reed live in concert. What a genuinely warm and friendly person. It was so clear that he loved performing. He is a legend. Thank you so much for posting this - your reaction really says it all to me 🙂
This is an incredible performance that happened on the television show and I bet you will love the dancing. But it's such a hilarious song and yet it still makes sense.
Jerry Reed "Eastbound and Down" check out the live version, you get to see Jerry perform. He was a badass singer and guitar player. Love him 😊He was also in "Smokey & The Bandit" movie with Burt Reynolds and Sally Field. Damn funny movie. Jerry could write a hit song in an hour!
Love Jerry Reed and he has several fun songs. Side B of this 45 rpm is the Preacher and the Bear. You may want to also check out When Your Hot your Hot, She Got the Goldmine, Lord Mr. Ford, East Bound and Down and Smokey and the Bear.
You need to hear his East Bound and Down about picking up Coors beer in Texarkana and hauling it to Atlanta. Yes, there was a time you couldn't buy Coors east of Texas. I remember driving into Oklahoma from Arkansas to try Coors.
I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed watching this with you! Your reaction was pure gold. You've definitely earned my sub. Thank you for making this video.
I listened to with my siblings in the early 70s. My daughter shared this with her students in Florida back in 2020-2021. The kids thought she was lying😅😢😅
Ol' Jerr' Bear is my country uncle! Boy could pick, sing, tell jokes and act. There are a litany of songs... an unlikely rabbit hole if you will... The music is sand alone, but there's storytelling as well. When you impress Elvis and B.B. King...
Jerry Reed is one of a kind. Even fought Elvis and his management over copywrites for the songs Elvis covered. Jerry stood up to Elvis. They became fast friends for standing up to "the King". The Song was "Guitar Man". His guitar player couldn't play it proerly as Jerry used a unique tuning, while writing it BTW worthy of a listen
Gotta try out Jim Stafford a listen. He’s another story teller and great guitarist from Florida. He was famous in the late 60’s early 70’s. Spiders and Snakes, Wildwood Weed, Husband in Law are a few of his hits. He’s a great story
LOVE me some Jim Stafford!! 16 Little Red Noses and a Horse that Sweats lol! Love his Swamp Witch song and The Last Chant. And My Girl Bill. Awesome song story teller!
OMG my pops loved this song back in the day! I haven't heard this in decades, and it's 🔥🔥🔥 If you liked this, check out another short funky tune, "Boom Chick a Boom" by Daddy Dewdrop!!!
Now that you know you like Jerry Reed you got to Listen to Don't Think Twice It's Alright the studio version then do some Lord Mr Ford mule Skinner Blues he is a musical genius Chet Atkins said he is one of the only guitar players to truly Master the instrument
Jerry is one of the elite pickers along with Roy Clark, Jim Stafford and others that are better than most all guitarists out there. Don’t believe me? Ask John 5. He got his passion and love for playing guitar, banjo, mandolin, etc from watching these guys perform on Hee Haw as a kid. These guys played music that is used in World Champion music competitions. Jim Stafford would play a piece from some of the most difficult guitar music out there in his comedy skit and flub it up for a punchline. 😂
It’s legal to hunt gators now. They used to be endangered or something. Now they’re out of control. I’m sure you have to pay some government agency a license fee because they are the gator regulator! 😂
If you want to-Cajuns will bring you on a swap tour you gonna love it so much you won’t come back. Careful man Cajun really don’t like being laughed at. I can take you down there so you can understand the situation better OK

More Reed please.

Alligators were endangered back then.
Well of course you DO sure get lost in the Louisiana Bayou😂😂
Two other good songs by Jerry Reed are:. When your hot your hot. And, Framed. I hope you will review them they are very good.
You need to see the movie Smokey and the Bandit! Also this is on the game GTA San Andreas
Stay in the theme of story telling, suggested reaction to Red Sovein: Roses For Mama" or Teddy Bear
Most of Jerry's songs were about as crazy as this.
Try his preacher and the bear
If you really want to laugh try listening to Johnny cash's song Chattanooga city limit sign. It's a great story song in so funny.
