Loved the video! Here’s a tip: when deleting the fence, instead of using the hammer tool, use the wall tool, and draw a wall over the fence while holding ctr. That will then delete the fence
I know I’m just always too lazy when I only do it for a short time 😂😂
Figured out how to connect platform to foundation! (just happened by accident after watching your video)
Place the platform in size you want on the size and then just take it and move it in the space between platform and foundation 😊 it connects, and if the size doesn't match you have to take it out on the side, resize and put back in place 😊
Yesss it’s working again thankfully 😍😍 I think they patched it shortly after releasing platforms but it’s been back now yay 🥰

Ive been looking for a way to connect foundations and platforms, so thanks for this. Ive tried it several times but the front of the platform glitches out and you can see straight through it. :( Wish they would fix this so we could use them this way. I will keep looking. :)
EDIT: My mistake i was using the FLATSQUARE tool as you can do platforms using that as well. It works if you use the actually platform square tool. You wouldnt know ive been building since sims 1 tut tut lol. I cant use the terrain tool very well either.. Its not as good as sims 3. Thanks again. I hope someone uploads a vid of this because its hard to explain for sure.

How to place platforms against foundation: build foundation, build platforms away from foundation, pick up each platform step (from furthest away from foundation to closet) and place them where you want them leading up to the last platform, which should be at the same level as the foundation, between the last platform placed and the foundation.

Aww thank you sweetie!! 🥺😍 they disabled this platform trick to connect to foundations for a while but now it works you can place the platform you’d like somewhere else and then just move it in between a foundation and platform :)

At 4:40 how did you place the steps over the pool? Want to do it in my current build and can’t! Also if anyone could help me how do you make that cool walkway that is the same height as like the ground regularly but looks so cool?

i did a 1x2 room i think , same size as the dine out open aquarium , lifted it up with platform , so it was hidden in the wall , then took the new tiny squared window from snowy escape and put it on both sides of the room , so u saw the sand in aquarium , but also the full aquarium on both sides of the wall , a elevated build in fish tank.

Thank you lovely!! 😍 I’ve familiarised myself with debug so much that I pretty much know where everything is and in which pack (I usually filter by pack when I know what I’m looking for) ☺️ there is a mod by twistedmexi that organises debug for you though I’ve not tried it yet :)

Do you use a reshade to get the pool colour to be like that?
You can change the water colours in the pool section in build mode :)

It’s working again wooo 🙌🏻😀 you just have to make sure there’s a gap between the foundation and platform, then build your platform somewhere else where it’s not connected to anything, make it the right size and height (this is important, raise it up to the level you’d like it to be) and then move it into the gap between platform and foundation :) if there is no platform there it’ll automatically connect to the foundation unfortunately. Also once you’ve placed it in there and it worked you won’t be able to connect or drag any walls so I recommend leaving it somewhere on the side until you’re fully done and then add it as a final touch :) hope that helps ☺️
How do you rotate things-the glass floors to be the shower walls ?
I used T.O.O.L. Mod by twistedmexi it’s really great I recommend if you’re on pc🥰

Did you ever figure out how you got the platform to connect to the foundation? That's one of my big gripes about the tool. I built a really cool walkway up to a house and bridging the gap with stairs ruined the look. Same with a set of wraparound stairs down to a pool. A couple more things I hate about them;
1) you can't put stuff under them like you could with an actual platform.
2) they only work in full block increments. So platform stairs take up twice as much space as regular stairs.
I unfortunately haven’t figured it out yet and it’s driving me mad! 🤯 I wishhhh I had footage of how I did it but I wasn’t recording that second 🙈 platforms are quite annoying sometimes, deffo need some improvement in the future hopefully!
@@EvaRotky I've tried a bunch of things, nothing worked. Haven't seen anyone show how to do it. You're the first to even say it's possible. Hoping someone comes up with something.
@@johnterpack3940 I’ll definitely keep trying! All I remember is I had the connecting piece somewhere else and then placed it in between them that’s what I remember 🙈

@@johnterpack3940 I don’t think so because Ive tried everything. It must have been something to do with the platforms and foundations I used.. I also remember lowering the platform once I’d put it to match the foundation height but now it will never let me change the height anymore 🤦🏼♀️🤯

You have to select the room and then press the arrow symbols in the little menu that pops up :)
Hello Eva, after the platform patch, it broke all staircases that were opened up by using the fence method. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks
Hi! Do you mean the platform stairs or actual stairs? I’ve not had any issues with the fence method at all..
@@EvaRotky it happens when you put a fence in the second floor, after you put upstairs with a twist to the left or to the right. It doesn't look like an issue, until the sims can't get upstairs.
@@ruryfuentes7788 I’m pretty sure removing the fence from the top of the stairs and replacing the fence helps!

Normally sims can walk over that tiny fence, do you have any idea if they can with platforms too?

omg i’m getting so frustrated because every time i try to bring up my platform it brings up the entire house. i’ve done it exactly how you’ve done, but every time it do want with the way i want it to. i’m only trying to put two steps right outside the entry of my house
Make sure you’re actually using the platform tool and not the foundation tool, the platform tool only changes the platform height, the foundation changes the entire house height. Make sure the platforms aren’t connected to the foundation yet when doing their heights because that can bug out. Hope that helps
