I was going to say this as well lol I was devastated about the wall situation and then I noticed the platform arrows when I clicked on a room which was much easier 😊
@@KateEmerald I see it like how fences work. If you build a fence room where a wall is, the fence replaces the wall. Platforms are auto rooms, so it makes sense that the walls disappear
@@francisjeffrey6496 if a mod can place windows using degrees they can develop a system to place them. This game is the SAME game since 20 years. 1 toilette less (cause I have 20 in the game) and improve the overall quality of the game.
For the platform issue there is a workaround which is better than the one you explain in the video and will help you: create the house as you normally do. When you need to create a platform on a certain place of your currently existing build, use any fence and draw a room with the shape you want the platform to have. Then raise the platform to the height you need. After that delete the walls that separate both rooms (the one with the platform and the original one) so that you have only one room again. That's it. Nothing gets deleted from your beautiful house. I discovered this trick yesterday and used it a lot to renovate the lot of my current legacy save. One issue though: the moment you raise the platform on a currently existing room, all the objects attached to the wall won't be moved up automatically => you can end up with windows inside platforms xD
Yeah, I noticed those issues too. There's also problems with stairs jumping heights when you place multiple platform levels close to them. This is especially a problem with sunken rooms. I'm happy to see the SimGurus taking note of the issues though!
There is a way to add platforms to the interior without deleting the exterior walls: if you section off the area you want to have a platform with walls or fences, you can then change the height of that “room” and then delete the walls. Hope this helps a lot of people :)
The platform tool just works like the room tool: When you place it near a wall, the wall gets deleted. But: To build a room you wouldn't usually use the room tool, would you? You would just draw walls! And that's exactly how you can place platforms too. This way, no furniture or wall will be deleted. You just got to try out a bit more, guys. 😉
I use the room tool all the time to create rooms inside a house and anywhere else, that's what it's for and even with moveobjects off the room tool doesn't delete objects placed on a wall or any object inside the room. I can build a wall or room, place objects on said wall, use the room tool and go over the same wall and everything will still be in place even with moveobjects off (I just tested it and turned it off). The room tool definitely doesn't have the same issues and it would be nice if the platform tool could function the same way. Sure they're workarounds which were mentioned in the comments a couple of times but this doesn't change that the functionality of the room tool could be a little different! :) Or maybe you mean something else and I confused myself here? :) Thanks for your input!
@@KateEmerald I think they mean the premade "room" in the wall category that has no walls. If you place it next to a wall inside an already built room it will destroy the walls it's touching. It's like this if it has fences around it too. This used to be a bigger issue and would happen even on the outside, luckily they fixed that eventually so I'm pretty sure they'll fix this too. Seems to be something build into the engine
@@KateEmerald Hello again! Just want to make clear that my first message was't aimed directly at you but to a more general audience (meaning anyone reading it 😁). That's why I wrote it in English. But of course, you cannot read minds, so thanks for your reply. 😊 Actually I meant the tool Kate Lubell is talking about in her reply, the one that just places a "room plate" without walls. (It also comes in different shapes like a triangle or L-shaped.) And at least in my game it destroys walls - which I find quite understandable because by placing it you replace(!) a closed room with a room plate that has no walls. So, that's why I see some logic in there. And I feel like the platform tool works the same way. And therefore, when I want to raise a part of a bigger room, I prefer to just draw walls in order to part the to-be-raised floor from the rest. Then I raise the floor and delete the "auxiliary wall" (Hilfswand). And that's it. It's easy and convenient as I haven't experienced anything like destroyed walls or deleted objects with this method. Sorry for this wall if text but I feel like this topic isn't easy to be discussed without pictures. 😅
Great video Kate. It seems like it's the usual Sims style update to me. Platforms are most definitely a great and welcome addition, one that can change builds in many ways. Yet, as usual, they are never taken to their full potential and come with a bunch of very obvious bugs/errors and so on, that will require fixing or workarounds. I'm still looking forward to giving them a go, just not as much now.
!! You can use these to create wide grand staircases and not struggle with the bloody railings! Kind of like in Sims 3, but with less Constrainfloorelevations. I'm still downloading the update so I cannot test this idea out sadly.
I found a lil work around with the walls disappearing when you add a platform.. I found that if I don't complete the wall, leaving one wall tile absent, then I created a singular wall on the same level and move it into the empty wall tile space. This way the wall does not disappear. Anyways, hope that helps. Great work on your vids. Totally appreciate your honesty.
I'm glad you brought up the issues of placing stairs next to/leading up onto platforms, as I've had these problems as well. Sometimes they place fine, sometimes they place but won't allow me to widen them or make a turn, and sometimes they just won't place at all. I get the error message that they "can't intersect other objects" even when nothing else is around. Hoping a patch fixes this issue soon! I always learn SO much from your vids and beautiful builds, Kate! Thanks much!
Yes I do agree with you about the round/curved pieces I was trying to use the piece as a bottom decorative piece at the base of the stairs would not go against the wall every time I try to replace the wall the piece disappeared was not functional , I had the two flat parts against the wall and the round part outside so that it look like the bottom of the stairs in a fancy house I was extremely excited when I saw that there was rounded platforms but you can't even use it inside it doesn't work, you would only be able to use them outside like you said I really hope that they fix this
This was a really helpful guide to platforms. I am really incredibly thankful for platforms as well. My main issues with the platforms are that 1. when I use a foundation in order to not compromise my wall height you can’t add a half wall to the sun Ken space in order to decorate the bottom wall boarder or that the foundation color on the outside doesn’t show in the inside. 2. You can’t tuck the stairs against a platforms arch way, it has to stick out some. 3. Platforms can’t be used in half tile measurements.

I can't wait to see your builds with platforms, I feel like they will be next level and they are already amazing! I recently downloaded one for the Bailey-Moon family when they got even richer (sorry I don't remember the name of it) and it was just stunning! I also saw an issue when changing the layout of the walls, all of my items disappeared from the room, they go yellow as if you're taking a wall through them but they weren't anywhere near. It literally took the oven and counters out of the kitchen because it was trying to make it a platform on top of a platform I think
Plus with these platforms is you can create rooms where only kids can go but adults can’t has the sims now sense heights in the game (I think not many people are talking about this feature in videos from most of the big sims TH-camrs

I'm really waiting for your wonderful creations with this update ❤️ I have a fix for the wall that disappeare, you don't need to use the platform tool inside the house, you can close the area with a wall creating a room and then use the arrow to decide the high of the platform and then delete the walls that are inside.
You can avoid exterior walls being deleted. Instead of using the platform tool, use the room tool, raise the platform to the desired level and remove the (interior) walls.
What I do for the wall removal is to build a room and raise it instead of a platform then the walls stay then all I do is remove the interior wall than there is your raised room :D
I totally agree withh the rounded platforms. For the walls diapering James turner mensioned to build a instead, use the arrows and then delete the walls you dont want. I haven't played that much with the platforms, but I think there can be issues when you want to save a room to the gallery, because for what I know every platform is considered a room, maybe there is a work around that, but as mensioned I haven't played that much with it yet
Ohhhh noooo! No that simply will not be acceptable if a platform can not attach to a foundation, if the foundation is higher than the platform. There's a home I once lived in I haven't been able to build, STILL, as there's different levels and Sims 4 NEEDS to have a platform attach to a foundation. It surely needs fixing. I am thankful you caught that and brought that to everyones attention. I can understand right away why there was a "floating ceiling" from that platform you raised up. Your work around to remove it is legit, to then add stairs to connect it to another platform height. That's exactly what I was doing (before platforms of course), in how I made my "floating" second level of a lounge (Johnny's Lounge), I did several months ago, while messing around with foundations, making a foundation float. This will just make it soooooo much easier to redo my lounge, cuz the stairs that go down to "basement", developed a slight glitch with how the Sims would get down there, yet they could come up the stairs just fine. Come March next year, I plan on playing again, redoing/fixing builds and making new ones, like a new Easter egg hunt challenge 😉😁. And your builds keep on inspiring all of us! Oh, 😯 just saw the piano screenshot! Ummmm..... well, does it happen if moveobjects is on or not? Did you freely move it or let it click into place? If you hadn't done so, add that build to the gallery, with the glitched piano. I'm having a brain fog at the moment who it is, not just Nick but someone else can then add your lot to her game and take a more in depth look at it. I sadly can't remember her name but she helped fix a glitch with the stairs after they got added, a glitch I encountered only a few just started having. The rounded platform inside.... I wonder if I can open my game and if I still have a specific build I was working on, cuz I had figured out how to have a raised rounded foundation inside a home and not have those gaps. It took so many days to figure out. I was building an indoor stage with rounded foundation... for your sake cuz I love your builds sooooooooooooooooooo much, cuz I know how much you ❤ the rounded looks, I'll see about this weekend getting on my pc & laptop to check which one it's on. Or maybe I did finish and share it, 🤔. I'll check for ya. However I did it, will possibly be helpful to fixing the gap space for the new rounded foundation.

Wish I had watched this before I started by first build after the update. I had a foundation and I was trying to lower a platform to make a sunken room (directly beside the foundation wall) and it sort of worked but I couldn't get it to look good. I have a lot more ideas now for how to deal with this.
I found if I draw a regular wall where I want the platform to be, I can raise it up that way and then delete the wall I used to separate and the other walls won't get deleted
Regarding the walls disappearing when you put down a platform. I have come to realise that even though they are platforms, inside the game's code they are actually rooms. You can raise and lower any normal room, it doesn't have to be a platform. If you want your platform to touch the walls, draw actual room walls to close off the area into a new room, then use the platform raise/lower on the room, then delete the unwanted walls. You shouldn't lose any of the original outside walls that way. If your platform isn't meant to touch walls, you can just put down a platform as normal.
You are definitely not wrong about the round platforms. No need to apologize, nor do you have to affirm that you are usually positive. The game deserves critique, and pointing out things which should have been done prerelease. You are also not salty for wanting a properly functioning feature. Just imagine people paying for a car without wheels, steering locked up, and fogged windows- and then others getting upset if someone points out the obvious ("hey this car needs wheels"), it's a weird thing that people are starting to do in the last couple years (calling critique, and expecting a properly working product, 'bad/toxic/ what-ever-else'). Anyway, love your builds!

I found that when you add a closed in room where you want to add a platform, then use the arrow key to make your platform , then knock down the inner wall. it wont mess with your exterior walls
I built one modern house using platform (it is my last video) and yes, it is very fun and increase a lot our possibility, but it is something not 100% create.
Thank you for this video. I was experiencing some of these same issues last night and it was pretty frustrating. Still love this update but there are some annoying quirks.
There's a third issue btw, but I'm not 100% sure if you can always recreate it. I had an open floor plan with a genkan and two raised platforms next to it (2 up). Behind the genkan, the floor was raised (1 up) and after that the hallways were at the level of the genkan again. When I started to add rooms to this setup, my platforms kept getting messed up. Mostly the 1-up area was raised once and levelled out with the raised platforms and stuff like that. Ways to avoid this were adding platforms where I wanted the rooms, add walls, then lower them or just move in walls as in not close the rooms. But it's also super annoying if you build with multiple platform heigths and want to change the floor plan again.
Iv totally been having the same issue with the walls goings when I add the platforms , really hope they fix this , but thinking about trying my next build by doing all the platforms first if I can 😂
The round platform issue made me so sad. It's the first thing I built. I was making this bar with a dancing stage - put a platform and sunk it down a bit an then wanted to put a round platform as stage... now it's square.
I just want to be able to use half walls AND fences at the same time on platforms (half wall to cover up the platform side, and fence to create railings).

Best way to do indoor platforms is to just make it a room and then delete the extraneous walls that you don't need btw rather than having to plan it in advance!
In SIMS 5 I **really** hope they make stairs that freely rotate on the grid and unlock the platforms and foundations from the grid, so that you can move a single part of the same construction on the bottom without moving/raising/lowering the entire structure. Soo many things on my list of wants and needs. The mod creators are so much faster and more adept than EA/Maxis - instead of forcing people to discontinue their mods (like the amazing transforming 🧚🏻♂️ flying faery mod) etc - the game creators should outsource to the creators and embrace their creations, including them in the store and giving a percentage of the sales back to the mod creators!!
Really? My doors moved up just fine. I placed rooms and doors and then used the arrows to raise the platform and my doors moved with whatever side was higher.
I have to manually move the doors but they work fine. I'll raise the platform and they'll stay low then when I click while "standing in the raised room" it jumps to the correct spot
Can you pick up the platforms and move them? If so, maybe that would be a way to avoid it deleting wall? Just create the platform outside and then move it to where you want inside.
@@mpfromnl1986 yeah. What I recommend is putting the platforms down, then using on of the wall tools to go around the entire perimeter of the house. Basically every wall that goes outside. For a roof to not clip it has to count as 1 big room.
So, Im mainly a victorian style builder. But the method I use is to very carefully plan out my roofs and rooms. Then I keep 1 tile open for the roof with the eaves out one tile. Then I copy that roof, move the eaves in so its flat, and place it in that tile spot I left open. I also dont use the second and third roof linings, as it clips through the wall no matter what you do. The ones after that work fine.
For the Issue with the round Platform: you can Use some of the Platform trims (?) and they will cover the green pieces. I had the same Issue. And its not a perfect solution but better than Nothing i guess.

In my case when I want to have platform inside things is OTHER rooms disapear...so each time I add one I have to go through the entire house to see if everything's in place. And I dont mean Windows and stuff by the watoll, I mean furniture standing in the middle and clutter as well. Annoying as f. Oh and it can also remove wall trimming on the outside (why?), also in weird places that agent even connected to the room with platforma (why, oh why?)
I just think we could get round walls because in the last packs and patches they did a lot of things modders or new games did. They also do a lot of things people are hyped about with paralive, soooo. If there is a round platform that cannot be used yet, then this could be a possibility
So it seems they updated the Planet Honeypop karaoke place in San Myshuno and added a rounded stage indoors. I wonder how they avoided the glitch there...
I have been having huge problems with roofs using these. I had a premade room already and decided to do a little platformed bed. But now every time I do this the roof messes up and clips into everything.
It’s high time they add curved walls....that wouldn’t happen with the platform if we did! How can small and indie games have this yet The Sims 4 - mega franchise does not. I wish I could try building with this but my game kept crashing after the update on console...yet again!
Hi Kate! I wanted my sims bed above a round plataform and15:47 that happend! it was really anoying! yes, it is unusable! Anyway, You missed a major issue! make a room; then make a plataform beside it (it might be tall enogh to be 4 or less steps left to the second floor). Now, try to conect the second floor with the plataform with a stair facing the second floor. You cannot do that! it says that your wall conflicts with the stair, it makes no sense!
I play on Xbox the issue I'm having it the stairs when I put stairs with a platform the floor under the stairs disappears...I was trying to make bunk beds in a furniture store lol
I’m trying to make a rooftop deck I used a platform but I sunk it down one for a sitting area but the floor underneath the level disappears so I can see straight down to the last level
Instead of using the platform tool, cant you just build walls around the area you want to raise, raise it, then delete the walls so that yiu dont have to redecorate. Will that work?
They still havnt made them compatible together and when adding paint/wallpaper the bottom disappears so I can't Pannel with it at bottom which really really bugs me
also the one that we get already drop something but the wall one have 2 things to drop them solo line or right away a 4 side one why we dont have the one not in solo to make youre own one i wanted to make something but i cant begus then you need it solo to make it

The limitations of roundwall are windows and doors. It would be quite difficult to make them fit. That's a problem fences obviously don't have.

Yes! If stairs are next to two different height platform levels, even if one level is inside and one outside, the stairs jump! It’s a mess!
I love my sunken dining room. I never noticed an issue because it's a tiny home and the front door isn't next to the platform/stairs to sunken room.

I gave them a go but couldn't get the roof to sit right. It leaves a gap.

I can't wait to see your builds with platforms, I feel like they will be next level and they are already amazing! I recently downloaded one for the Bailey-Moon family when they got even richer (sorry I don't remember the name of it) and it was just stunning!
I also saw an issue when changing the layout of the walls, all of my items disappeared from the room, they go yellow as if you're taking a wall through them but they weren't anywhere near. It literally took the oven and counters out of the kitchen because it was trying to make it a platform on top of a platform I think

With the new update I was a lil confused but I have to admit I am enjoying them with remodeling the mansions
Plus with these platforms is you can create rooms where only kids can go but adults can’t has the sims now sense heights in the game (I think not many people are talking about this feature in videos from most of the big sims TH-camrs

I'm really waiting for your wonderful creations with this update ❤️ I have a fix for the wall that disappeare, you don't need to use the platform tool inside the house, you can close the area with a wall creating a room and then use the arrow to decide the high of the platform and then delete the walls that are inside.
You can avoid exterior walls being deleted. Instead of using the platform tool, use the room tool, raise the platform to the desired level and remove the (interior) walls.
You have some good points Kate. Hopefully there will be some fixes so you can make beautiful houses.

What I do for the wall removal is to build a room and raise it instead of a platform then the walls stay then all I do is remove the interior wall than there is your raised room :D
There will be a fix for the round platform, as there usually is when the team misses something big.
A round platform was a huge miss. But we still don't even have the ability to create a round room without a major pita.
I totally agree withh the rounded platforms.
For the walls diapering James turner mensioned to build a instead, use the arrows and then delete the walls you dont want.
I haven't played that much with the platforms, but I think there can be issues when you want to save a room to the gallery, because for what I know every platform is considered a room, maybe there is a work around that, but as mensioned I haven't played that much with it yet

No that simply will not be acceptable if a platform can not attach to a foundation, if the foundation is higher than the platform.
There's a home I once lived in I haven't been able to build, STILL, as there's different levels and Sims 4 NEEDS to have a platform attach to a foundation. It surely needs fixing.
I am thankful you caught that and brought that to everyones attention.
I can understand right away why there was a "floating ceiling" from that platform you raised up. Your work around to remove it is legit, to then add stairs to connect it to another platform height. That's exactly what I was doing (before platforms of course), in how I made my "floating" second level of a lounge (Johnny's Lounge), I did several months ago, while messing around with foundations, making a foundation float. This will just make it soooooo much easier to redo my lounge, cuz the stairs that go down to "basement", developed a slight glitch with how the Sims would get down there, yet they could come up the stairs just fine.
Come March next year, I plan on playing again, redoing/fixing builds and making new ones, like a new Easter egg hunt challenge 😉😁.

If you hadn't done so, add that build to the gallery, with the glitched piano. I'm having a brain fog at the moment who it is, not just Nick but someone else can then add your lot to her game and take a more in depth look at it. I sadly can't remember her name but she helped fix a glitch with the stairs after they got added, a glitch I encountered only a few just started having.
The rounded platform inside.... I wonder if I can open my game and if I still have a specific build I was working on, cuz I had figured out how to have a raised rounded foundation inside a home and not have those gaps. It took so many days to figure out. I was building an indoor stage with rounded foundation... for your sake cuz I love your builds sooooooooooooooooooo much, cuz I know how much you ❤ the rounded looks, I'll see about this weekend getting on my pc & laptop to check which one it's on. Or maybe I did finish and share it, 🤔. I'll check for ya. However I did it, will possibly be helpful to fixing the gap space for the new rounded foundation.

Wish I had watched this before I started by first build after the update. I had a foundation and I was trying to lower a platform to make a sunken room (directly beside the foundation wall) and it sort of worked but I couldn't get it to look good. I have a lot more ideas now for how to deal with this.

I found if I draw a regular wall where I want the platform to be, I can raise it up that way and then delete the wall I used to separate and the other walls won't get deleted

Regarding the walls disappearing when you put down a platform.
I have come to realise that even though they are platforms, inside the game's code they are actually rooms. You can raise and lower any normal room, it doesn't have to be a platform. If you want your platform to touch the walls, draw actual room walls to close off the area into a new room, then use the platform raise/lower on the room, then delete the unwanted walls. You shouldn't lose any of the original outside walls that way. If your platform isn't meant to touch walls, you can just put down a platform as normal.

You are definitely not wrong about the round platforms. No need to apologize, nor do you have to affirm that you are usually positive. The game deserves critique, and pointing out things which should have been done prerelease. You are also not salty for wanting a properly functioning feature. Just imagine people paying for a car without wheels, steering locked up, and fogged windows- and then others getting upset if someone points out the obvious ("hey this car needs wheels"), it's a weird thing that people are starting to do in the last couple years (calling critique, and expecting a properly working product, 'bad/toxic/ what-ever-else').

I found that when you add a closed in room where you want to add a platform, then use the arrow key to make your platform , then knock down the inner wall. it wont mess with your exterior walls
I like how platforms makes medium size walls look much better when you are use small doors.

I built one modern house using platform (it is my last video) and yes, it is very fun and increase a lot our possibility, but it is something not 100% create.
Thank you for this video. I was experiencing some of these same issues last night and it was pretty frustrating. Still love this update but there are some annoying quirks.
There's a third issue btw, but I'm not 100% sure if you can always recreate it. I had an open floor plan with a genkan and two raised platforms next to it (2 up). Behind the genkan, the floor was raised (1 up) and after that the hallways were at the level of the genkan again. When I started to add rooms to this setup, my platforms kept getting messed up. Mostly the 1-up area was raised once and levelled out with the raised platforms and stuff like that. Ways to avoid this were adding platforms where I wanted the rooms, add walls, then lower them or just move in walls as in not close the rooms. But it's also super annoying if you build with multiple platform heigths and want to change the floor plan again.
My biggest issue is that when you make a sunken room you can’t paint the sunk walls. They’re just grey concrete.
Iv totally been having the same issue with the walls goings when I add the platforms , really hope they fix this , but thinking about trying my next build by doing all the platforms first if I can 😂

The round platform issue made me so sad. It's the first thing I built. I was making this bar with a dancing stage - put a platform and sunk it down a bit an then wanted to put a round platform as stage... now it's square.
You can also put a wall there and then raise it as a room
I just want to be able to use half walls AND fences at the same time on platforms (half wall to cover up the platform side, and fence to create railings).

Best way to do indoor platforms is to just make it a room and then delete the extraneous walls that you don't need btw rather than having to plan it in advance!
One thing we can use the round platform pieces for is to create a circular sunken garden or sitting pit outdoors! :D
In SIMS 5 I **really** hope they make stairs that freely rotate on the grid and unlock the platforms and foundations from the grid, so that you can move a single part of the same construction on the bottom without moving/raising/lowering the entire structure. Soo many things on my list of wants and needs. The mod creators are so much faster and more adept than EA/Maxis - instead of forcing people to discontinue their mods (like the amazing transforming 🧚🏻♂️ flying faery mod) etc - the game creators should outsource to the creators and embrace their creations, including them in the store and giving a percentage of the sales back to the mod creators!!
Plus the round ones are so disappointing was so looking forward to using them

Really? My doors moved up just fine. I placed rooms and doors and then used the arrows to raise the platform and my doors moved with whatever side was higher.
I have to manually move the doors but they work fine. I'll raise the platform and they'll stay low then when I click while "standing in the raised room" it jumps to the correct spot
I can place doors just fine, as long as there's enough wall above the platform. I've been building with medium walls
Can you pick up the platforms and move them? If so, maybe that would be a way to avoid it deleting wall? Just create the platform outside and then move it to where you want inside.
I’m really hating how it gets rid of my walls and than the platform becomes it’s own room so when I place the walls back the roof clips through!

@@mpfromnl1986 yeah. What I recommend is putting the platforms down, then using on of the wall tools to go around the entire perimeter of the house. Basically every wall that goes outside. For a roof to not clip it has to count as 1 big room.
So, Im mainly a victorian style builder. But the method I use is to very carefully plan out my roofs and rooms. Then I keep 1 tile open for the roof with the eaves out one tile. Then I copy that roof, move the eaves in so its flat, and place it in that tile spot I left open.
I also dont use the second and third roof linings, as it clips through the wall no matter what you do. The ones after that work fine.
This happened to me, the roof clipping was driving me crazy 😅

Jsjk if you make a room in the area you want to raise up then raise the platform in that room, just delete the walls and your outside isn’t affected.
For the Issue with the round Platform: you can Use some of the Platform trims (?) and they will cover the green pieces. I had the same Issue. And its not a perfect solution but better than Nothing i guess.
I really love them, but it has weird sides too you got to practice with them..doors way too high etc LOL
To get rid of the countertop and furniture disappearing, replace the adult basemental mod.

Can you try building a water park or waterfall park
In my case when I want to have platform inside things is OTHER rooms disapear...so each time I add one I have to go through the entire house to see if everything's in place. And I dont mean Windows and stuff by the watoll, I mean furniture standing in the middle and clutter as well. Annoying as f. Oh and it can also remove wall trimming on the outside (why?), also in weird places that agent even connected to the room with platforma (why, oh why?)

I just think we could get round walls because in the last packs and patches they did a lot of things modders or new games did. They also do a lot of things people are hyped about with paralive, soooo. If there is a round platform that cannot be used yet, then this could be a possibility
Can you just build the floor plan and then click on the room and move the foundation up and down rather then placing? Even just adding the walls temp?
So it seems they updated the Planet Honeypop karaoke place in San Myshuno and added a rounded stage indoors. I wonder how they avoided the glitch there...
I have been having huge problems with roofs using these. I had a premade room already and decided to do a little platformed bed. But now every time I do this the roof messes up and clips into everything.
Round platform inside? I built a basement room under mine and it worked, there were no more holes in the floor.

Hi Kate! I wanted my sims bed above a round plataform and15:47 that happend! it was really anoying! yes, it is unusable!
Anyway, You missed a major issue! make a room; then make a plataform beside it (it might be tall enogh to be 4 or less steps left to the second floor). Now, try to conect the second floor with the plataform with a stair facing the second floor. You cannot do that! it says that your wall conflicts with the stair, it makes no sense!

I play on Xbox the issue I'm having it the stairs when I put stairs with a platform the floor under the stairs disappears...I was trying to make bunk beds in a furniture store lol

Instead of using the platform tool, cant you just build walls around the area you want to raise, raise it, then delete the walls so that yiu dont have to redecorate. Will that work?
They still havnt made them compatible together and when adding paint/wallpaper the bottom disappears so I can't Pannel with it at bottom which really really bugs me
my sims 4 is up to date, yet I don't have that platform option still... :/
