Loving this! As someone who also just got back into reading recently, I can relate to a lot of what Toni said! My mama is my only close person outside of TH-cam that likes to read. She reads more now that she’s retired. Love that you have each other to chat about books and share the hobby with! 🎉🎉
Awe look at my friends! This was good seeing you both on here. Books allow your imagination to really go there. You end up creating your version of a movie in your mind. Judy Blume, Betsy Byars, Beverly Cleary wonderful childhood authors. This was really good! I will never read nor watch the exorcist. She may like Stephen King. He keeps your intention with horror.

It's like finding out that 2 celebrities are related! I agree with that sentiment that if you don't like reading, you just haven't found the right book. I'm feeling everything your sister is saying because I felt the same way until high school when I finally read a book I liked.

I found Toni when I typed in new booktubers and she popped up. But then recently you popped up too. And I remember thinking I was listening to Toni but it was you and I thought that you guys sound the same. LOL go figure that you two are sisters!

I wonder if Toni would like Grady Hendrix horror. The reason I say that is she mentioned she enjoyed reading the Freida McFadden book that had the coworker character that made her laugh out loud. She might like Grady’s sense of humor and that campy horror style as a gateway into the horror genre.
She tried to read one a few years ago, “The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires” and as much as she liked it, couldn’t push through. Lol
