  • Who's had problems with sowing tree seeds in pots or bags and finding that before long their tap root has grown around and around the base of the pot before you even notice? This can seriously prohibit the health and long lived vitality of your tree in future. It can make them unstable in the ground- leading to easily falling over in semi-strong winds, or can suffocate themselves via the main root being in a knot. So when a Kiwi company came up with the genius design of root trainers. In this video, Sean showcases the benefits of this design while he pots up a bunch of Persimmon seeds that he's also stoked with and shared some insight about.
The root trainers come in various sizes and can be found in most horticultural stores or online. Great for root bound sensitive trees.
Hope you enjoy the video! And have some Autumn sowing happening!
