I tried a relic strat with these pickups they sounded so tone full while I played along with someone on piano in the store,,I just played made up melodies superb tone very controllable ,awesome ,they're left,I fired up the little Blues junior ,yes yes yes ,the best tone I have ever had,it was the Pickups, not the amp,I have spent the last 12 years re learning guitar after a accident, but the guitar was I bit to dear, expensive for me,but I promise these pickups have power without losing the beloved sparkle, beautiful tone, and touch censertivity, I'm saving for one you should to, But don't forget to watch thi video over and over and learn this guys links and techniques
These might sound all hype, but I've got a Strat loaded with these and it's epic! where my 3-pickup Les Paul is going for a Viking funeral, my Ancho Poblano Strat is being buried with me.
Stuff I've been screaming about for years. High third pole was needed back in the wound third string days. Bridge pickup flat, gets the coil up close to the strings, where the elipse is smaller and needs more magnetic field.
& what's the deal on the amps? NOS type caps & they're did I hear right? Only 8 grand. Hard to hear with the crowd noise so I am guessing I am way off.
$8000! seriously? who Can afford that. these pickups are $500 and I'm going to bet 80 percent of that awesome tone is coming from the $8000 amp. play this thing through a $300 amp like normal non rich people have and see if it sounds the same. I bet not
He is playing a 5e3 Tweed Deluxe. Hardly a blues jr to say the least. A real 5e3 is the most revealing amp I have ever played. It will make a shit player or guitar sound like it. A 5e3 puts out exactly what you out in.
Firsthand experience makes this very untrue. These pickups are simply the most magical pickups I have ever experienced. Direct A/B comparison with Duncan Antiquities was sad affair indeed.

I love the ancho poblano pickups!

Sweet sounding pickups.
Sounds great to me. I wish they sold pole piece extensions so you could create your own.
Can anybody tell me how to adjust PU height (measurements) with this Ancho Poblano set in your strat? thanks!!
the best way is to use a screw driver
RIP Mike Lewis

Interesting. Did all of the greats use these? Nope
they would have done if the 'greats' could have gotten them
@@curiousuranus810 Name a great that's alive that uses them.

So they sell for 500 bucks. They don't sound any better than some Seymour Duncan's. You can get for 200 to $250 less.
