He is the charger, That charges through the night Like an orange bolt lightning. He is the best pal the duke boys ever had... I'm happy he is alive again.
I love how this dude loves taking these things completely apart and putting the back together and knows everything from bumper to bumper throughout many years of these mopars, and know every single square inch of every part on these legends. Anyways, this build was worth every penny
General Lee is an iconic, legendary car. It doesn't matter who you are. If you're a man over 50, you watched the show. The "General" and "Daisy Duke's" were a part of growing up. Thank you for not agreeing with the cancel culture. That said. I love the attention to detail on this build, Is just amazing. Thank you so much for the memories.
The most beautiful car ever, hands down!! Nothing like a General Lee to cruise around!! The ‘68 is my dream car, but I’d happily go with a ‘69, ’70 as well!! Amazing restoration, guys. Really, great job!!
Awesome build, and I would like to say, I think it’s great that you hired a welder with no automotive rebuild experience and took the time to discuss the cuts and welds and help him feel comfortable #1 working on cars, #2 working on such an important project, that really shows what kind of a boss and person you are.
I'm glad to see another General Lee car. My family has a rather unique relationship with all of the General Lee cars. My mom's cousin's husband welded all the roll cages in the General Lee cars, because he worked for the studio in California that produced the series and shows. His name was A.J. Thrasher, a rather well known special effects coordinator, technician, and welder working for the movie studios for many years.
Seeing the old crew makes me realize how much I miss them. I feel like the show was better and more fun back then and was the reason I started watching the show yrs ago
Thee "old crew", meaning Dave Rhea, George the fab dude, Alissa etc...OR ...The Darren/Josh "crew" from years ago????.....Cuz THAT "older crew' WAS, a pretty difficult WATCH (sometimes).....Lol....But yeah! I DO like the "Dave Rhea era" too.
The original General Lee was a mish mash of orange paints the company threw together. After many years the original trunk lid was color matched and it was found that the mish mash actually matched a color called TNT Express which is currently used by a shipping company in Europe today.
Yes it's hold stay on it was not against racism it was there just to make the car look good it was nothing against anybody and I want The Dukes Of Ha,and back on please what do we have to do?
Mark your are beyond a doubt one of the for most Mopar guru and Mastermind! I am a Mopar guy and I learn something every time I watch your show!! One day I hope to have you do a build for me before time runs out for both of us.
It's always nice to see a car from a show you watched as a kid come back to life. To bad we don't all have that kind of money to make our favorite childhood vehicles come to life. For me it would be the wraith Interceptor from the movie wraith.
I'm a whole African-American male and I would be super pissed if they took the flag off the top of the car. I grew up in the hood watching The dukes of Hazzard and the general Lee is one of my top five favorite movie and TV cars of all time.
You guys did an awesome job. General Lee was my child hood loved the Dukes. I'm hoping to work on mine, a 1967 impala saden. I purchased. Many people are laughing at her looks right now but I want to make her beautiful again. She needs alot of tlc. Some turn heads tho.
I always loved the look of the 2005 General Lee. The upgraded interior with that custom steering wheel made this General feel like more like a race car
I’m from the Uk and can remember watching the dukes as a 4 year old in 81-82. I was obsessed with the general Lee and even all the cop cars. I had wrist racers and a scale model of the general. It’s the only real thing I can remember being that young.
Awesome....Then, you can (obviously} see.....It HAD/HAS nuttin ta do with "hating certain peoples"........Just a couple Southern crazee ol country boyz! 🤘🔥🤘
Christmas 1981 .. my father built me a custom General Lee go cart.. he painted it orange and painted a rebel flag on the floor pan .. he even put a roll bar on it.. he took a Honda 3 wheeler engine and put on it.. he even put some sheet metal on the front where the steering wheel frame was and painted 01 on it… I would give anything to have that go cart today.. one I lost my father last year and I want anything he put his hands on.. two.. I would love to give it to my son.. we watch dukes of hazard all the time and he loves it.. seeing my 9 year old light up every time they jump a creek or a car or train makes me giggle so loud cause I did the same thing as a child..
Great patience from the graveyard crew to complete this project considering all of the chopping and piecing back together. Love the fact they reused a lot of the original car too! My only criticism is nothing breaks my heart more then an out of tune Dixie horn. Fiam makes a spot on tuned set of horns. All in all that’s small potatoes to the great work that they did. I enjoyed the episode greatly
Graveyard Cars y’all did an excellent job rebuilding one of my most favorite cars in the General Lee, it came out beautifully. On my bucket list is owning a black on black 69 charger with a Hemi and a manual tranny. Great job guys
Wait, I was in a road trip in South Dakota, I stopped at a small town south of Murdo, there was a car museum, there was a general Lee car, well maintain, it was beautiful.
the dukes of hazard would be proud of the way this beautiful car turned out when I first saw the show I fell in love with the charger and always wanted to get one and then one day while I was working doin deliveries to a customer he told me he had one and was going to sell it to me but due to finances not looking good I had to decline the buy but I always wished I had bought it love the General lee car

The movie Moonrunners also has a cast member of the Duke of Hazzard, Mr. Ben Jones as Agent Fred. It was Ben's idea to do the Dukes of Hazzard show based on this movie. I'm personal friends with Ben, who just made 80 years old this past week.
The only thing I have a concern about your channel is when you open youtube it's says 3hrs ago like it's a new video meanwhile it's an old on you need to put your videos in order from 1 to whatever because I open it thinking it's new and they're 2 months old tell your production dude to get it together other than that I love your channel cheers
Really glad to see the flag is on the right way. I don't know if you knew about the way the stars point (it seems to be practically an unknown detail), or whether it was done the same as the original flag, or whether it was just a lucky guess (most Generals appear as though the decal was randomly put on, possibly not even realizing that all the stars are even all pointing in the same direction on the flag, and it being a 50/50 chance it was the right way). But the stars are meant to point to the drivers side like you have it, not the passenger side. I've seen one Generals flag that had them all pointing inwards and must of either been hand painted (hopefully not) or some oddball decal that he had made or something.
Yea I sure do love them old charger since childhood growing up still from now I wish I had one to enjoy and have fun jamming to some old muisc while hearing that engine roaring down the road even do alittle show off but its been 15 years I haven't drove so I am really hoping when its time to drive I drive the car of my dream for many years

Wow that car looks fantastic I’ve always wanted a general lee charger I’ve always wanted a charger especially a 1969 RT charger with the 440 magnum V8 for barrel Carter carburetor those are the coolest cars
The 1st 15 minutes was a quick reminder of why Josh and Daren are gone. The great thing about this show is that even though Mark has his fun, they actually show the process. So many shows are 40 minutes of drama and 5 minutes of actual build time. For all of Mark's goofy jokes and movie reenactment's, he's also taking the time to pass on his knowledge on Mopar's.

Can I just say, Thank you for not going all P.C. and blurring out the rebel flag. I honestly appreciate that.👍👍👍
I could do without all the "humor" and shit. I watch for the amazing cars. Love the FF option to eliminate the nonsense. My 2 cents.
@@hiviz1763, he definitely went too far overboard with the BS factor on this one.
They did in a way. They whited out the red in the flag.

Yes the General Lee is Iconic! As a child growing up in the late 80's early 90's. I watched the Duke's every day.
Anytime a General Lee is restored an Angel gets their wings!
Glad to see Not all the „General Lees“ had to be scrapped after shooting. Really happy you could bring this one back.
