Marco is one of the best Chefs that this country has ever produced. He's utterly passionate about food and is a joy to watch cooking. I love the fact that despite his fame and wealth, Marco is very humble warm and never forgets his working class roots. I could listen to him talk for hours. What an icon!
When marco said not everyone wants to be an artist, because living the life of an artist is very painful. I somehow caught a glimpse of emotion in his eyes, his face that he let out. And i wish i could hear more. 😢
The greatest thing to come from your work is to INSPIRE others to follow in your footsteps and MPW has it in bucket loads, I've literally been planning for a few years now how to escape the mundane office management job to "get behind the stove". This story is available in so many interviews but I find myself compelled, every, single, time... Climbing the mountain is more challenging and exciting than standing on top of it
What a beautiful man, in more ways than one. No one can TOUCH this man, he is THE most wonderful matured man, and quite formidable in an endearing way. I LOVE HIM and NO ONE comes near to his way his perfection his expertise, he will ALWAYS be my absolute favorite.
Spot on: many interviews, the same story. But why do all these so called journalists all ask the same questions ? I for one would very much like to dig a little inside his human side , not the professional one. I've read his book and I'm intrigued by a variety of things: - what are his favourite foods ? What did his father cook on sundays ? Did he cook besides his father ? - how many lady's knickers did he recieve on a montly basis via mail? - how much did Gordon pay for them when auctioned ? - how many women threw themselves in his arms over the years, literally ? - did Marco have other passions on Sundays besides fishing ? If not, what kind of fishing tools did he use, what baits ? What was his biggest capture ? - did he have any funny adventures in the kitchen when he worked with Raymond Blanc, who was a very vivid and joyful individual ? - did he take any beatings from Pierre "The Bear" ? - did he ever argue with either one of his wives over how dinner has been prepared ? For Christ's sake people, stop asking him about his professional itinerary because we all know it.
I saw him in person a couple of weeks ago. For the first half hour, he sounded as he does in this video, but then his voice got better as he kept talking.
TURN OFF THE DOF EFFECT ON THE LENS mate. Marco is a northerner woking class i think your great Marco that book white slave is a solid book certainly should recomend
He’s got this story off pat and to a fine art. See & heard it countless times. He relishes talking about himself. He’s so self-obsessed and self-opinionated. Arrogance personified.
Not in a malicious way, though. He's selfless in his arrogance. He's giving himself to the world. You can't become as great as Marco, without arrogance. It's about how selfless you can be, at the same time.
well yeah, he’s done a lot of interviews where he was asked about himself and so it makes sense to get your story condensed into something that you know will entertain and interest the people who listen to it. this isn’t uncommon for people who get interviewed a lot.
Seen so many Marco interviews where he tells this exact story. I still watch and listen completely hypnotized. What an icon
I can listen to him all day and forever, he is the MASTER and I just LOVE his story.
“A recipe can confuse you, a story can inspire you.” -Marco

Quite simply a living legend.
Such a captivating man, I can hear the pain in that voice. An absolute intelligent tyrant. Bravo, absolutely bravo
beautiful beautiful guy. One of those people makes you happy knowing you are walking on the same earth as they do.
What a compliment

Anything new, with Marco, is something I always want to watch.

We get it. I like him, you like him, we all like him. Pull your tongue out of his arse.
Totally agree. He's my favorite, too!

'chefs have turned a canape party into a dinner party, I dont want to be told what to eat! Absolutely Marco!

brilliant. could listen to him all day.
love it !
Yes, Chef.
Not a grey hair in his head. Remarkable... or not? Marco EL LEGENDA.
He is so consistent
Guys been doing the same interview for 20 years lol
Forget where's Waldo, let us instead play "Where's Waldo's glasses"
he works hard
5:03 on a loop
you don't say "gate" in harrogate, it's shorter
it's your choice
Elton John? Agreed!
Painful? yes
I can't understand what it was that he "escaped" (after about 4:55). Can anyone explain this?
He said he escaped his working class roots but that's bullshit because his parents were posh
I’d like to take him fishing
Marco doesn't seem in good health lately =/
He looks totally fine, its just his voice that has a bit of a frog in it. I pray his health does not fail him, this man is a LEGEND!
Smoking damaged his throat. No idea about his lungs though.
needs to stop smoking and stop eating so much
He's getting old and smoked heavily for decades. Doesn't come without a price; although if I were in his place, I'd probably have done the same.
I saw him in person a couple of weeks ago. For the first half hour, he sounded as he does in this video, but then his voice got better as he kept talking.

The depth of field in this shot is beautiful 😊
White Slave? Are you on crack?
marco should really stop smoking
Horrible background noise. Do your job properly please

Self obsessed? Where anywhere did he potrayed that?

The interviewer asked for the story. He is being interviewed where he started, so it is appropriate to hear it.
Wolly
Is this a parody LOL
are you an indian ? get out of here
