Typical Mexico. I had this happen to me but breakfast was two blocks down from the hotel on the beach. I was lucky I met a woman who spoke Spanish who told me where to go with my coupon.

Love these city walks. You get the real feel of a city, not just the major attractions but the streets, the sidewalks, the pedestrians, the advertisements, the graffiti, the everyday architecture and stores. I live in a small town but I love visiting big cities and the mix of everything thrown together. Of the couple of YT travelers I regularly watch, yours is the perfect mix of both cities and nature areas.

6:18 Yeah, "Let's Go" that was almost the way I also started getting good ideas of where to stay and travel at first. Actually found it on my first Interrail-travel back in 1979 after having come down from Norway, going through Sweden, Copenhagen and Hamburg. It was lying there forgotten by some traveller on the platform I think it was in Amersfoort, Holland. Many travel ideas from that book..

Gabe- Enjoyed your story about the translation losses when you expected more from your breakfast in Mexico. However, as long as you spend time on each country, a resonable expectation is to learn languages along the journeys and it goes very, very far with locals when you can explain yourself in their language. Spent many years in countries in Europe and central America and it was a joy to see their faces when I attempted, or fluently conversed.

Almost all by train, a few days with a rental car. The best experiences: The Opera in Verona's arena, the Saturday market in Bologna, the food, the wine.

Yay, Paris! I hope to visit this Autumn. I visited Buenos Aires for the first time last month and after watching this, it really is the "Paris of South America".
Also, I watched a video recently about how Paris is working to make the city more pedestrian and bicyclist friendly, and I can see some of the urban planning changes in this video. Bravo, Paris! I hope more and more cities make improvements to make cities for people, not cars.

GoPro looks great, and it has better audio IMO. Gabe, the lights are different in Europe which is why you see that flicker in certain stores. You can change the anti flicker hertz to 50 in the camera settings if you’re inside a building filming. It’s annoying because when you’re filming you can’t tell but when you review the footage after you notice it. Take care m8

Hey Gabriel, a big hello from Thailand. Still stuck in Thailand for now, I can get a flight out but it's a nightmare trying to get back into the country. So I'm just not traveling now.
I enjoyed your walking through the city of Paris, it is my favorite city in the world. Wide streets and wide sidewalks. I really wanted to live in Paris but couldn't afford it. To buy a place was just too expensive and so was the rent.
On your walk I actually recognized some of the buildings you walked by and showed from a distance. I was there in 2019 and almost died from a very nasty viral infection in my intestine. You've never been embarrassed until you are walking down the streets of Paris and everything you have eaten for the last 20 hours decides to come out all at once and no mater what you can't stop it. Very embarrassing. Lol
Hope you enjoy your stay in the city of Paris and I will be watching.

I love wandering in the streets of Paris. If you would walk some 200 meters to the right from that arch you would find one which is even more impressive - Porte Saint-Denise. Once you are there turn right once again and walk another 200 m along Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis and you will arrive at Passage Brady, an iron-and-glass covered arcades under which you will find probably the best places to eat Indian cuisine. There are also Indian supermarkets, so you can practically feel like you're in India while being in Paris. Highly recommend this place (metro - Strasbourg Saint-Denis)🇮🇳👍

There is another arch, La Porte Saint-Denis just up the street from the one you were at, Porte Saint Martin and it's a lot more decorative and famous. Porte Saint-Denis was the arch used by Queen Victoria to enter Paris when she visited France in 1855. It was built in 1672 to replace a gate in the walls of Paris. When I was in Paris in 2019 the streets were filled with e- scooters, now I see only one or two in your video. I wonder if they were semi-banned.

It would be neat to see Gabe in the south of France...just outside of Nice are the cutest towns...Vence, St. Paul de Vence, Grasse & Eze. 🦋

At the first glimpse of this video I saw it was shot with the GoPro 10. Because it's much wider! I prefer this camera!
