Yeah Haltech ecu is a must, visit manonracingproducts.com They have all the stuff you could ever need. Carillo pistons and acl bearings. Stock crank. Rods carillo or mrp. You’ll need to run a coil over conversion as the dizzy is crap. Mrp do all that sort of stuff. Drop the compression down to 9.0.1 standard cambelt. Rebuild the head as well. Just toyota parts will suffice unless you want to flow more. Super tech valves etc and a 3 angle valve seat.
Jean ortiz cruz Plus the exchange rate in New Zealand is 1.80 to the pound so you get really good deals. They do a custom rebuild kit which is really competitive. Barry is the guys name really helpful chap. Knows more about 4age engines than anyone
@@bryan10444 well i meant stock unopened engine. Most would put 4agze pistons in it aswell to be on the safe side. May aswell if your gonna take it apart to change the rods. Personally I would use the 4age silvertop for an unopened engine turbo application
Luke Augustine yeah it’s the 6 speed, turbo is matched to the engine, don’t really want to go too small with the 4age engines. 20v flows so much better than the 16v. Out the box 20v is better for boost. currently rebuilding mine.

@@ArashiOdayakana 20v 4age is still a 1.6L out of the factory though. Just has 20 valves.... The reason I'm asking is because a lot of people tend to change from a 4a block to a 7a block, which is a 2.0L.

The only fault with the car is me, shot a rod out the block. Underestimated the power it would go on to make. Won’t make that mistake again

Acl bearings, turbo is turbonetics t3/4 twinscroll.

Definitely not a stock block.blacktops can't handle it although the head loves boost.cheapest and easiest way would be to put 4agze internals inside

hey is it possible to make this much power with a regular 16v? if so which would be better big port or small port?
Smallport is better.yeah the 16v can make some pretty good numbers with supporting mods

Probably FWD 4age gearbox which matches the 7 rib block 4age

Got the same car....same turbo...diff rods ...blacktop head....16_16 bottom...honda ecu half...makes 380hp....

The reason I'm asking is because a lot of people tend to change from a 4a block to a 7a block, which is a 2.0L.

@@ArashiOdayakana 20valve is still 1.6l mate. All 4ages are 1.6l and 16 valve, besides the 20v which is 1.6l with an extra valve in each cylinder.

Turbo too big? Graphs look like big number Evolutions which are just awful to drive irl.
Turbo is matched to the engine? Too smaller turbos on 4age strangle it. 20v will be the better engine to turbo. Head flows much better out the box.
