Hey Mike, I always enjoy all your videos but this one really stands out. Maybe because it's dedicated EMS or Director of Operations Brad, he's informative but personable or a combination of those things. Anyhow, thank you for another great video.
Hey mike. Great video! I am a volunteer here at Station 64. I am super glad you got to come visit us. I have definitely shared this with friends and family to show them what we do. I always like to watch your videos. Keep up the great work sir ! 😊
Not having to wear the vests full time is also good when treating the little old lady who is just not feeling well. It makes providers seem more approachable and helpful.
What a great episode! Brad you did an awesome job as always 👍👍 I live in Smyrna and I'm a former Paramedic from "The station across the street" lol These guys do a great job.
Going to all the training at the Delaware State Fire School was amazing. They accept recruits for basic and advanced training from many surrounding states. Great training!
Awesome tour I enjoy seeing how other EMS companies operate I’ve been retired now for five years after serving twenty nine years as a paramedic/trauma medic here in Canada 🇨🇦 it was an amazing experience and career worked with some awesome people I had to retire after my my shift when I got home all I remember is walking through the door when I woke up I was in the cardiac care unit of our hospital apparently I suffered a massive heart attack it hit me that fast I miss the job wish I could have at least made it past thirty years but I’ll take the twenty nine I did get stay safe out there
Great video. Why so they increasing crewing on Monday and Wednesday evenings with Fridays. Is there a specific demand hike on those evenings that is recognised as a trend?
Monday evenings is recognised worldwide as demand increase in EMS services.. primary care providers closed over weekend.. those “unwell” wait until monday morning, get seen monday afternoon, advised to go to hospital… by the time arrangements made, the patient consulted their families etc, or admissions arranged its early evening… this increases above the standard expected threshold, it doesnt matter where globally whether USA with PCP or the UK with GPs (general practice doctors) the exact same scenario occurs… it is well recognised and has been studied extensively
@@LolLol-vk4rg Yes, David C. Harrison Post 14 in Smyrna, Delaware was the first Post in the World to establish an Ambulance Service. When we first started we covered from the Summit Bridge (New Castle County) all the way to the Sussex County line.

I hope you can find the old Cadillac ambulance. That would be awesome. If you get the invites, keep doing more EMS houses.
A few American Legion and VFW posts run or used to run ambulance services in the Northeast.

Good call on providing body armor. It's also important to wear it while training (scenario based)..
Great video!

We wrote out an A3 paper and using statistical data from our local dispatch center, we found that those days and times were usually our busiest times.
@@BradleyGosch thanks for your reply. That's interesting to know.
