@@jaguargirl5747 haha are you a Kia paid bot? I looked and test drove all the evs before getting my Ev and the Kia isn't in the same league as the Jaguar 😂
@RB8906 The drive and handling aren't in the same league. The interior quality, materials and feel were also miles apart. The iPace just does everything very well while looking good and feels special. The looks and feel of the car are subjective but its like comparing an expensive Swiss made watch to a mass produced fashion watch, the fashion watch may tell the time and look flashy but it's not really a quality well made watch that feels special and there's nothing wrong with that but being truthful the cars aren't really competitors.
consider that it’s not the ipace CAR that is the problem, rather the dealer network as a sales channel. Tesla’s direct sales model is just so much better. Anyone who has been in the unfortunate position of relying on a Jaguar dealer knows this. It’s unfortunate that Jaguar has disregarded the accolades for the design of the car and decided to neglect the upgrades needed and then eventually dump the car entirely rather than fix the real problem. The jaguar sales channel simply has no real regard for the customer.
Interesting how the makers of this video imply the Scandinavian countries are located between the Eastern part of Africa and Madagascar (01:19), if it's not in the US, it doesn't really matter where to place the location pin?
I Pace is a very small proportion of the Jaguar range and considering Jaguar's manufacturing target worldwide is two hundred thousand vehicles the I pace is actually selling very well.

Jaguar are a small manufacturer. What’s the point of comparing production output with Tesla? Range anxiety and depreciation/battery life fears are fabrications of the oil industries!
Drove an electric Audi and tesla before purchasing an MY20 - drove better, better quality, better materials, real comfort, actual luxury, and had logical normal layout. Now just get me to 300 in range and actual OTA updates that improve the auto. And with Magna Steyr manufacturing it, same people that built my gelädenwagen. So much better than a thrown together make a 100 thousand before end of quarter and don't worry about build quality because the lemmings don't even know what it is good build quality - I will take the Austrians any day
Range anxiety is so overrated. I've had my car for 3 months and have never dropped below 35% charge, most people don't drive anywhere near 240 miles per day, and so charging to a very good rate of 80% can easily be achieved overnight even with a basic wall outlet. I have a 240V charger and rarely need it. Also, once you have an app like Chargepoint showing you where you can charge along your route / highway, there are plenty of places to charge up. Range anxiety is a myth if you read up on best practices.

Nobody is buying the I-pace? So more fool them. I did just that a few months ago and it's hands-down one of the best cars' I've had the pleasure of owning. Yes its expensive but then it is a luxury vehicle and you get what you pay for.
The other issue jot explained is the cost subsidy that is given in the US that Tesla qualifies for as their cars are heavier, and less efficient, than the iPace which does not qualify.
it was fine when it was introduced in 2019, but Jag hasn't bothered to update the motors or charging infrastructure/battery pack for some reason (except for the AC side which I think is now 11 kW). Magna Steyr has offered up some ideas, but Jaguar hasn't gone with them.
If you buy an approved used one outright Jaguar will practically beg to buy your car back after a year. That's because word has got out that these are incredible used buys.... And yes, I am aware the very early ones are subject to a compulsory buyback. I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about demand. Word has got out about how good they are. It's a cult classic, really. Phenomenal car.
Ironic that Jaguar is selling I-Paces for self driving development efforts but has a cruise control / lane assist system that is far behind (no pun intended) numerous other EVs now produced and on the road.
I bought a new 2022 Model of Jaguar HSE I Pace EV400, no comparison with the high quality interiors, and the looks, man it rocks. Most beautiful looking EV on the market. Yes it's expensive but I would never buy a car with a TV in it and press an icon on a touch screen, to open the windows or other things, be it Tesla or Kia or Ford Macee Mustang. There is a reason that other cars are cheap. You get what you pay for. Range is not everything, it's what you like and love to drive. Other cars especially Kia Ev5 has such a light body work, and full of plastic on it's interiors, cheap I would say. Keeping my I Pace as long as I can.
I have the Tesla, and it is full of problems... I hate it. You can now by used Tesla at Carmax for around 30k, they have a lot full of them, and no one wants it. I sold it to my neighbor. I also have the Ford C-max Energy Premium, It comes with everything that you can possibly think of, but It takes 5 hours to charge the battery, and it only does about 28 miles on a charge without using combo (gas and electricity). Using combo, it does about 89 miles per charge combined. I won't sell it though until I find one that meets all my needs. Nice looking inside and out, a battery that can be charged full in less than 40 minutes, can do a minimum of 300 miles in a single charge, or 600 miles combo.
Its very simple . When the I Pace appeared in 2018 it had no competition. These days it has hundreds of competitors and Jaguar has decided not to spend any money on a decent update so people think its old-fashoined in a market that wants the latest thing. The irony is that it still better than anything else to drive in anything like the same class!
I have the Jaguar XJL. 3 minutes of fueling for a range of 570 miles. I use it for all my long range travels which amounts to over 7 thousand miles a year. No EV anywhere in the United States of America can provide you with this. Elon Musk so far has no plans to upgrade Tesla with higher ranges and shorter down times for charging. A large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make. Jaguar has always been known for long range. They took steps backwards to come out with an EV that provides you with less. In my opinion, Jaguar needs to continue to provide short times for fueling for a long range and leave well enough alone....😊
The I Pace shies on range and efficiency. But personally I think the importance of both are overrated. To the audience of luxury electric crossovers, most couldn't careless. As an earlier adapter (2019 EV400 SE), I feel Jaguar let us down. After all, the best compliment and advertising come from return customers. If Jaguar can not keep existing customers happy, good luck with new sales. I wish Jaguar would make the improvements of the latest I Pace, such as the Pivi Pro, the CCD rear view mirror, and the 11 kw AC charging, available to early models at free or low cost. The early adaptors paid a great deal for the IPace. With new reduced MSRP, it feel pretty shitty to have rushed into one. I can't honestly tell people I am happy with my purchase, even though I still love my I Pace. Only if Jaguar can upgrade my I Pace, I would be their best salesman. Just wishful thinking.
I have the same model & year 2019 received in april. Most importantly if Jaguar doesn't understatement how vital range & charge time is they won't sell many more I Paces. We have had only one improvement re uting range & higer charge rate.
