Thanks for this informative video. I have an Aura hand pan on order right now. I heard the hand pan for the first time at an Ayahuasca retreat in May...it captivated me, changed my music taste forever and resides in me. I'm 65 with 0% background in music but hope to one day make a joyful sound 😄. I am practicing beats on an upside down cooking pot for now.. Thanks again! You guys are amazing

I am completely new to all of this but, in my opinion, to my ear, the RAV Vast drum sounds more percussive and warm and the other two sound more steel or tinish. All have their own unique character and sound, but if I were to buy one, just based on sound and tone, I would go with the RAV Vast. To my ear, it's more pleasant.

It’s definitely a matter of personal opinion. All of the pans have their own unique sound and different price points. The rav drum is very popular so I am sure that many people would agree with you.

Great video ❤️👌🏻..is the D Celtic Rav high pitched in comparison to B ? I wanna buy my 1th Rav a bit torn between
    D, B and Kurd

Hi David, Yes the D Celitc is higher than B. Both are great, it's just a matter of personal preference. B Celtic is one of our best selling models, so it's probably for a good reason.

Please guide me to a RAV Vast in 432hz and 528hz. Are they available? Thanks so much for your help.

Yes RAV makes a dew scales in 432hz: a integral, g pygmy, b celtic, and b celtic double ding. Email us for pricing and info since these are special order items but we can have one here for you in a matter of weeks.

I get your point about some surfaces sounding on handpan, but not really on rav. Do you think though that its possible to practice on a rav vast (or pulsar, kaatone, orion) and then transfer these techniques to a handpan and visa versa? I've been considering signing up for a course in a handpan school, but buying a tongue drum instead of an expensive handpan to practice at home. Will I learn playing handpan this way or are ravs drums too different in shape? I think they have the same circular arrangement of notes, so I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult.

If you get a rav drum you should be able to transfer the vast majority of those skills onto a handpan, and vice versa.

I'm by no means very experienced when it comes to either of them, but what I found is that when playing with hands, you'll need to hit the RAV harder- to an extent that when you do the same on your handpan it might get out of tune (happened to me).
