So far you've read two of my favorite books, and I just found your channel. Thank you for the beautiful words of light 🙏🏻✨

Wow, thank you so much! I am honored, and grateful. Out of curiosity, what else would you like to hear me read?

Thank you for reading this book and putting it up for free so that everyone can find this and have their life changed by this beautiful piece of literature and learn that your pain is self chosen (also did your copy of the prophet have a little note in it if so i would like to know what it said because most of mine has a note in it on the first page)

Thank you so much for this kind comment! Let’s see I neglected to mention the note “ The 12 illustrations in this volume are reproduced from original drawings by the author“. Is that the note you meant? You may also be interested to know I’m about to release a full recording of Jesus The Son of Man as well. Gibran is just SO good. The fact that these are now in the public domain is a real gift!

Thank you! Yes, me too, it's a great resource. This recording is actually only available on this channel currently, though when i made it i intend it specifically for Librivox.org My other audiobook that's gone viral just got flagged by a copyright holder, so I'm hoping this one will be left alone with it's Creative Commons/public domain status. Glad you liked it!

What a fantastic poet. He understood consciousness.

Truly, one of the best. I will likely re-record this one day, as it's so deep I would like to approach it with new eyes.

Aha, I love that you mentioned the Garden of the Prophet! It's on Project Gutenberg Australia, and I was just looking at it considering it for the next reading. Thanks for the kind comments @@rumibumi9296

This book is my bible. I bless the day I found it back in 1984. ❤

Did you know the Bible actually was a big inspiration for Gibran? An Arabic translation of the KJV, I believe. One book in there that Gibran must have especially loved is the book of Proverbs. Recommended reading!

Beautiful as usual. ❤ I am listening all the recording everyday. I got addicted specially Kahlil's and if I finish all the recorded books, I don't know what to do after 😅. Hopefully you will keep recording new books. Thank so much and may God bless you

Thanks James, that’s okay! It’s a beautiful book but I’ve grown a lot as a narrator since, and it’s probably worth re-visiting. But I want to record Proverbs first.

not that i didnt care for the narriation. just did not care for the book. Maybe I had heard so much about it and was expecting more from the book itself. A lot of phrasology from the Bible ......but not near as direct or instructive as the Bible. Appreciate you doing it good job on the narration I just was very dissapointed in the content of the book. thank you. @@JosephAlanMeador

All good, thanks James. I do think a lot of Gibran's style was directly influenced from the bible, and while he wrote mostly in Arabic, the KJV specifically influenced his prose from what I've heard. I agree, while his writing is beautiful, if you really want wisdom, why not go to the source? Thanks for writing in. @@jamesanderson2876
