That IS pretty fast -- if you know what you're doing, as in, which parameters to change to get a certain result, and you don't need to care about the poly count. I'm definitely gonna save this video and play with the addon some time soon, but for now my fastest (and low poly) way is with a transparent texture on a plane which gets deformed by a curve. That's pretty speedy too. I had seen the addon exists, but I didn't think of it when I started to make plants; I think the word "tree" gave me preconceptions. It's much more capable than I expected. Thanks much!
Thanks for being quick about what to do. Only suggestion is to zoom in on those nodes. You can only read them out at 720p. Great video though. Upvoted.
Okey kiddo so it seems that this is a "commmon" bug in blender so in mi case what it worked for me was to go into edit mode, make sure to be in 1 or vertex select an then select with the C, but if it doesn´t worked I could aslo selected with any other selecting tool in mi case. By this point I´m sure you already "fixed it" but I leave this comment for future generations haha
This tutorial was really helpful. I didn't know this add on existed!
Fabulous. The add-on is great but what you make of it is fantastic. Thanks. Very useful.
Honestly man, just a big thank you and you are the greatest
Wow, this is very helpful. I never thought about this!

For anybody sturggling on the third plant, adding more rings on the geometry menu spreads apart the leaves so they cover the entire tree.

olybamo great review and fazit

I don't understand the first step. Whenever I change the preset to quaking aspen it only becomes a thin line and for him it's still a normal tree
Tank you so much. This really helps :)

Once I press C key, Blender does not select anything. Any Ideas to solve this issue?

ily !!!
The third plant is giving me thin, squared leaves?
If you have this problem, leaf scale x might be to low, or it might have made the leaves rectangular instead of hexagonal for some reason unknown.
Excellent tut! Is there a way of animating these models as though blowing in a breeze? Thank you.
Sure, there are many. If dou don‘t want to simulate it I‘d probably recommend using shape keys.
@@PolyRem Thanks for the suggestions.

is this also possible with Final Cut Pro?
