  • On certain airbases, the approach trajectory on a runway might be obstructed due to elevated terrain or restricted airspace. If a high tailwind with a strength exceeding 15 knots is present during the landing, circling to land is the preferred procedure. Gimhae Airport is one such example. Due to a hill in front of Runway 180, a direct approach is impossible, and most airplanes are required to circle to land. This approach is non-precision, and if you lose track of the runway during the approach, you must execute a go-around."
