I'm very interested in the historical Empress Sisi, who was a very difficult person put into a complicated situation. I'm looking forward to a new interpretation of her that allows for honesty about how she was complex, while also giving space to showcase the aspects of her that the public did fall in love with. It also looks like it will be fun (until the serious third act, I imagine) and we can always use more moments of joy in historical films.
Does she get netflix in heaven?
If you're interested in the historical Sisi, you will not find her in the recent films and TV shows about her, since they are largely fictionalized. (This is not a criticism of the films and shows, they are just not a historical record.) I recommend reading a solid historical biography first, such as The Reluctant Empress by Brigitte Hamann.

nah, they would rather portrayed her as "strong and brave woman" devoid of faults... 🙄 like the film "the Duchess"
they always follow the same agenda and narrative, they will never show the complex dynamic real character of the historical figure since it would also shows their flaw...

What is this obsession with Sisi?
She was gorgeous, she had a tragic history, she was the longest-serving Empress (so had more time to make an impact than others), and she had some problems (ex: her obvious anorexia) that resonate with a modern audience. Same reason people are obsessed with Princess Diana and not, like, Anne of Denmark.
Hindsight is 20/20 and we better understand thst period and what she tried to achieve in giving Hungarians self-rule. If she and her son had been heard, WW1 could have been avoided.
i was 57 before i ever heard of her, i still hardly ever hear of her.

Romy Schneider was lovely, but those movies were like the Golden Age of Hollywood films from MGM- beautiful fairy tales.
The real Sisi was a troubled woman. Romy Schneider did the King Ludwig movie when she found who Sisi really was.
