Nice project however electrodes in a glass jar don't have the same problems they will encounter in a real water tank. I'm in a Northern climate, Canada, and have a 10,000 gal buried concrete tank with a wooden roof. These and distance sensors not only have problems due to condensation but that condensation freezes making them all totally useless. Float sensors won't work either as they will freeze into surface ice and wiring gets pulled out. The solution that works in this situation is a single float attached to a vertical pipe that has a magnet attached inside. This slides inside another pipe with magnetic sensors attached at intervals. As each magnet passes a sensor it's recorded by an Arduino Nano and sent by long range RF to a PC running my control program in my home that displays current levels and also controls the pump that fills the tank. A better mouse trap :)

What is the voltage of the led your using bcoz it looks small, shall i use the regular 3v led ?
