    Hi Gopher ! I'm the author of Keep It Clean, First, I'm very happy to see one of my mods in your vid !
    Your idea about dirtiness increase accordingly of what you did could be damn script heavy !!! I think about it since many days, but I'm still not satisfied about performance impact on the script engine. (I love your idea about spiders !) Frostfall is a great mod (but not a light one), i use it, and i want to be still able to use them together ;)

    • @SthaaggMemnoch
      @SthaaggMemnoch 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Your wish about dirtiness increase depending of location will be fulfilled a gentle user named BrinaSair send me an advanced patch, i wantot made some adjustment before releasing it
      ;)

    • @AIIEYESONME
      @AIIEYESONME 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That would actually be incredible to use Frostfall and worry about freezing and KIC together, and worry about getting dirty after diving through dungeons.
      You MAs are just so awesome!
      Here, I award you the highest honer I can give 🥓🥓

    Gopher's tactic to get the specific mod he wants:
    "Hi guys, I wish there was a mod that has/I'd love to see this mod have this oddly-specific yet cool feature."
    Next week, mod happens
    "_*yes indeed*_"

    • @bjornsteelside

      Reads this. Looks at the keep it clean mod and sees that there's a per location dirtiness beta now...huh

    Hey Gopher! No offense taken at all with your comment on the 1st person throwing animations for Throwing Weapons Lite. Your critique was VERY constructive and helpful (trust me, I've heard much worse) and changing the 1st person anims was something I was planning to do for a long time since I also thought they looked a bit strange (especially for the javelins and axes). I just didn't have the technical know-how at the time, but later thought of a work-around that didn't involve me making custom 1st person anims for the recent update. I'm actually quite happy that you've inspired me to update the mod since I like the look of the new throwing animations when using the mod myself in my own playthroughs. :)
    Anyway, last video I think I recommended that you try out "Reasonable Reloading" by Contrathetix if you are planning to use that thief crossbow anytime soon during your playthrough. For now, I still half recommend it if you really want a quick fix to that annoying crossbow auto-reload, but after trying it out myself I can for-see a few problems with it later down the line due to how it implements manual reloading. Perhaps I should make an updated version of my old Manual Crossbow Reload mod for SE...

    Clockwork for its sheer size of house and customization's and Gray Cowl of Nocturnal are both very good and both have Legacy support mid game.

  • @FDMMetal
    @FDMMetal 6 ปีที่แล้ว +128

    The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal is a well designed mod, but the voiceacting is lackluster in certain parts and just bad in others. The dungeons are superb tho.
    Project AHO I enjoyed very much. Well done visually, but maybe not the best mod story-wise for a thief character.
    Forgotten City would be absolutely perfect. Mod is so well done it even gets it's own game now. I mean, the mod starts with a letter talking about "riches beyond belief" or something like that... ;)

    • @TheDustyForest
      @TheDustyForest 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I think if Gopher played Moonpath to Elsweyr before (and may well end up doing so again this time, since it's fully incorporated Legacy of the Dragonborn), he can put up with questionable voice acting in the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal, just my personal opinion

    • @worry43troll28
      @worry43troll28 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      not sure about Forgotten city for an Assassin character, though it WOULD be fun watching Leonard having to deal with the strict "no killing/combat" rule.

    • @OleOlson
      @OleOlson 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don't think Moonpath is integrated into the Dragonborn Museum anymore, it must be installed separately. But as noted, he's done it before, and I'm not sure it would be a good fit with Leonard. But yes, the voice acting should be good enough in Gray Cowl for this playthrough for sure considering the rest of that expansion.

    • @TheDustyForest
      @TheDustyForest 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Ole Olson I am using the latest version of Legacy for Oldrim and have been given the quest that starts Moonpath, I don't know if it's different for SE but it's certainly still incorporated into Oldrim as I said.

    • @iJakexD123
      @iJakexD123 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree with Worry43 Troll. In The Forgotten City, there's multiple endings but the most satisfying of the endings is something I can see Leonard not doing.

    Project AHO is more of a Richard Quest. More focus on combat and the epic library that you find!

    • @skyesfury8511
      @skyesfury8511 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      True, it would suit Richard more than Leonard. But I can see Leonard getting wrapped up in it because of all the loot.

  • @elirantuil5003

    Daggers - sounds really cool!
    Keep it clean - sounds cool, might get a bit micro managey.
    Crime - meh.. Needs to be twicked and toned down if I understood it correctly. With very high speech it's plausible you can bribe the guards even for murder.
    Gray cowl heads up -
    Assumes you already discovered you are dragonborn, is integrated very nicely with legacy of dragonborn. I was a bit distracted with some of the voice acting, fantastic otherwise. I would be glad to answer in detail since I finished it about 2 weeks ago and remember it very well.
    And I have to chime in to those who recommended the forgotten city. Fantastic mod, perfect for Leonard. .

    • @GophersVids
      @GophersVids  6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You can bribe guards for murder in the vanilla game :)

    • @elirantuil5003
      @elirantuil5003 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gopher yeah I meant I was sort of OK with vanilla, although sums need to be a lot higher in my opinion and the whole thing should be time sensitive. Finding a guard outside and paying him 2 days later is indeed a bit stupid. And the sum you pay even if it is to the only guard who saw you, it should be his monthly pay twice, like 4000 gold for murder. It just sounds like the mod cancels the option completely.

    • @elirantuil5003
      @elirantuil5003 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gopher also, forget that, the gray cowl part is the important bit.

      Seeing Leonard go through the Forgotten City would be marvelous.

  • @dstr001
    @dstr001 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    Yeah, unfortunately gopher, moon and star cant be added mid playthrough when using Legacy. We incorporate it into the main storyline of the mod, but it doesnt work unless Legacy sees it on first loading into the game. That said Legacy does have support for Gray Cowl so display will appear for it.

    • @TheDustyForest
      @TheDustyForest 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      nooooo please tell me this isn't true, I read the description and wiki for Legacy so many times before starting my game to ensure this wasn't the case as I didn't want to be bombarded by the starts of several quest mods before I was ready to play them but there was no mention of this, it just sort of implied that the mod will self-patch once you have them installed and activated ;-;

    • @Microsoft-Excel-2010
      @Microsoft-Excel-2010 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TheDustyForest
      I'm afraid it's true. Never tested it, but the two mods reward you the moon-and-star ring, which without a patch you end up with two same rings with different abilities.

    • @TheDustyForest
      @TheDustyForest 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Claudio Moita thanks for the response ;-; I've left a more detailed comment on the Legacy mod page asking if there's anything I can do about it since I haven't yet started the Shattered Legacy quest (which is where I believe Moon and Star is first incorporated in a big way), but it's looking like I will have to accept my fate ;-;

  • @TheMonyarm
    @TheMonyarm 6 ปีที่แล้ว +38

    I'd say to go to the legacy of the dragonborn wikia, and see the supported mods for SE, and add everything you can except moon and star (cause you would need a new save for it). Especially ones like Amulets of Skyrim, Immersive Weapons, Fossil Mining, BadGremlins Collection, Thane Weapons Reborn, Artifacts - The Ice Blade of the Monarch, Heavy Armory, Oblivion Artifacts Pack, Royal Armory, The Staff of Sheogorath, Ruin's Edge which add new items. I've played with all these mods, and haven't noticed any bugs with them.

  • @tipperkid

  • @TheLockville
    @TheLockville 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I feel like Lotus Poison would fit for Leonard given how much he uses poisons, and since he is currently working with the Dark Brotherhood it ties into that storyline.

  • @vinny9500
    @vinny9500 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I will say this. DO NOT INSTALL AHO until you're absolutely ready to do it. It will once an in-game day pop up with a message box asking you if you want to trigger the quest. And with better message box controls its easy to have the AHO box pop up in a dialogue and you press 'C' (in your case) and select yes to start the quest when you don't want it. That happened to me, on my thief character ironically enough.
    As for the Grey Cowl of Nocturnal, I believe GCoN lets you return to Skyrim at some points but not for long lengthy times. But it is a very fun and at times challenging mod for the ultimate thief. So I say it's a must.
    I do however recommend that you convert Artifacts of Nocturnal from Legacy. The Grey Cowl of Nocturnal from the large quest mod isn't the best looking. And the one from the Artifacts mod has better quality textures and glowing Daedric Runes. It's also a blackish blue color which fits with the guild master armor, whereas the cowl from GCoN is grey like in Oblivion. Just a personal preference.

  • @loxley75
    @loxley75 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I loved the Grey Cowl mod for the world space and questing and yes it would suit Leonard perfectly. Some of the initial puzzles are a little annoying but not impossible but the feeling of actually being in a completely new part of Tamriel is amazing. If you download the high rez texture packs and the added flora Hammerfell looks incredible! It also has one of my fave getaway player homes. I think I've already suggested it but the Divine Elegance shop is amazing, its very lore friendly and brings in lots of outfits from the Witcher series that leonard would love! I mean who can't imagine Leonard dressed up as a gentlemen rogue like Olgierd or Vlodamir!

  • @LoneTrooper-ft4oo
    @LoneTrooper-ft4oo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Not Much for suggestions, but some mods that could be great to look at in ways of small details and Role-playing standers;
    Collect Unique Corpses, Artifacts - The Breton Paladin, True Armor SE, Immersive Wenches, Immersive Laundry, Master of Disguise - Immersive Disguises for Skyrim Special Edition, The Forgotten City, Purification of Skyrim - Immersive Poisoned Apples, Lotus Poison SE, and another to try out could be Helgen Reborn with Closedfaced Helmets for Helgen Reborn.

  • @johnlemon252
    @johnlemon252 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I will continue to suggest this mod until you acknowledge that it exists: Clockwork. It's really good, really lore-friendly, it really suits Leonard, and really it's good. Did I mention it's a really good mod. It's a really good mod.
    Also Wheels of Lull is phenomenal, but I know how you feel about certain design decisions (especially regarding boss battles) so I'll consider that lower priority.

  • @Easelgames
    @Easelgames 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Mod Suggestion: There's a mod on SE that allows you to say "I know where my room is" and the innkeepers won't obsess about showing you your room. It gives you a dialogue option for "show me" or "i know where my room is" It isn't buggy either. It only has one issue where if you click off to cut out the inn keepers speak she will still say "ill show you to your room" but if you let the "i know where my room is" dialogue finish the bug doesn't happen. (even when it does they still wont show you) It's a quality of life mod you'd enjoy.

    G’day Gopher, a couple of suggestions for beautifying the NPC’s in Leonard’s play through. And let’s face it, the NPC’s in Skyrim need a trip to the beauty shop big time !!
    1) All of Binjin’s mods
    2) Ordinary woman
    3) Men of Winter
    4) RS Childrens Overhaul
    And yes, The Forgotten City is well worth a Leonard exploration.

  • @davinark1844
    @davinark1844 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    A few points about Gray Cowl:
    - If you're not the Dragonborn, the premise of the story won't make sense for your character. Be warned.
    - This is a mod that puts emphasis on puzzles at the beginning and middle with the later Hammerfell region being more combat oriented. Some fights you can't avoid. If you try to sneak through some of the areas here, you should expect those parts to be more drawn out and may need some editing.
    - When you do get to Hammerfell, get a horse as soon as possible. There's a lot of running around with a sizeable area to explore.
    About AHO:
    - This is the sort of mod that can be played with any playstyle as everyone ends up the same at the start.
    - Leonard's sneaking skills will come in handy here as subtlety will serve you best in some situations.
    - My only warning is that the final reward may be a bit "much". I don't want to spoil anything so all I'll say is that while the game won't acknowledge it at all, it's hard to imagine people not being curious about something THAT major happening. People who have played the quest can attest to what I'm talking about.
    - I suggest a separate mini chapter for this one.
    About Moon and Star:
    The SE version is stripped of the unique rewards you'd gain at the end and for killing the criminal you're there for on account of permissions not being given. Being that's it so short, I say convert the LE version or don't bother with it unless you think Leonard will need something to do in the middle of a larger chapter.
    Thanks for all of your work Gopher.

      "If you're not the Dragonborn." I am pretty sure Lenny is the Dragonborn. He doesn't have any mods that remove the base-game references to being the Dragonborn, and he used the vanilla start. He merely doesn't know he's the Dragonborn yet, but he still actually is.

    • @luthienmpl
      @luthienmpl 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think what OP is getting at here is that it would be weird for characters from the mod to acknowledge Lenny as the Dragonborn when Lenny doesn't know yet himself.

    You should do Crime Overhaul + Master of Disguise. I don't think I'd be out of line to say we'd all love to see Leonard waltzing through a city that he's racked up a huge bounty in, dressed as a guard or pauper or something, and trying to act natural on his way to meet with a brotherhood contact or to do some thieving. Plus this would give him an excuse to have more outfits!

    The quest mods you mentioned are great for a dedicated slot of time. Most, if not all, sort of lock you in once you commit to the quest. To get out you have to go through and several are mostly puzzle solving types.

    Leonard once mentioned wanting to become thane in every hold, right? I'd recommend "Thane Weapons Reborn". It turns the generic reward weapons you get from becoming a thane into unique items, and I believe it's also compatible with Legacy of the Dragonborn. I really want to see you experiencing excellent Project AHO mod. AHO even has its own fence and guild of assassins, so it is pretty suitable for Leonard.
    One thing - if you install this mod, do it as early as possible - it is intended for early to mid level characters. If you install this mod from the beginning of the playthrough it starts after you get lvl 15, so it would be great if you played it before chapter 3.
    Also looking forward to Grey cowl of Nocturnal and Forgotten City.

    Clockwork Castle is excellent, and were you to consider it, I'd suggest airing the episodes around Halloween. The mod is well voiced, well written, and it has a player home that would be perfect for Leonard.

    Suspicious city guards is a mod that causes guards to follow you if they see you being suspicious. Its on LE right now but i converted it easily without crashes so far. You could also try out sneak tools which is a neat mod I try out allot, i especially love the water arrows that put out light sources.
    Also for a quest mod id love to see him playthrough is the wheels of lull, it gets gets so silly and out of this world that I'd love to see his reactions. But that seems like a late game kind of thing and maybe too outlandish but thanks for listening :)

    For crimes mod, there's the classic Oblivion jail mod that when you go to jail you recieve some debuffs in your skills (basically the reverse of fortify skill) with a chance of also gaining some buffs (e.g. you go to jail and you recieve a -3 in one hand for lack of training but gain +1 in alchemy from an alchemist prisioner).
    And on topic of clothing, MadMasker adds all types of fancy, crazy or religious headgear for clothing or heavy/light armor.

    Careful with quest mods that take place in difference provinces. If you ever take Leonard to other provinces with Beyond Skyrim, something like The Gray Cowl would cause inconsistencies in what the province is like between that mod and how Beyond Skyrim would present it.

    Point the Way would be good for immersion. It makes road-signs point down the road to the destination instead of directly at the destination, which means less need for looking at the map while travelling between settlements. Even though Leonard uses carriages a lot I think it would still be a good addition.

    Of the quest mods mentioned in the video:
    Grey Cowl of Nocturnal would probably be best as its own chapter. It's big enough to take several episodes and is largely contained in its own area. Larger than Moonpath to Elsweyr. Maybe comparable with Helgen Reborn?
    Moon & Star is literally just one quest. Just add it in and do it somewhere in the middle of a chapter. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed when I finally got round to playing it. I'm not convinced it would suit Lenny, either.
    Forgotten City is somewhere in between. Once you enter, you're stuck there until you finish. You could probably spend a couple of hours looking round and talking to every person there, but ultimately there's only so much you can do there. I guess it could work as part of a chapter, but I would recommend doing it as a mini-chapter like you did The Better Angels for New Vegas.
    If you do a chapter focusing on Legacy of the Dragonborn, it's worth noting that it ties in with several mods, including the Grey Cowl. I'm not sure exactly how far that goes though.

    Become high king of Skyrim. Selves into a quest mod to become high king of Skyrim.
    Populated roads mod. Adds more npcs etc traveling on roads.
    Armored horses mod: add armored horses into the game, deadric, etc.
    Bandit raids: adds numerous bandits that carry out attacks kn White run river sale etc once in a Awhile. . This miss makes bandits coordinate attack’s in groups of 10, 20, etc. one of my favorite mods.
    More guards mod, adds more guards to cities: especially good for a their play through. This will also help combat bandit raids if you download bandit raids mod.
    Wildcat combat mod, add injuries good for theif. Cut a guards leg he won’t move, if you injure it.
    Dagger mod, adds daggers.

Automatons and poison don't really go well together and it's a mod you have to finish before you can go back to the rest of the game, if Leonard stumbled into that quest with his current skillset without Inigo I think he'd be very, very dead.

    A warning about AHO - it pretty much forces your character to start it at level 15 (or be forced to deal with a pop-up every 12 in-game hours) unless you install a mod that can delay it more indefinitely. It's also a quest world that you 'cannot leave' until it's complete. There is however a mod that prevents the quest from starting in full until you do a vanilla quest of your choice (several of the options are Daedric Prince quests that would make some degree of sense for Leonard to do).

    Bathing in skyrim for the original skyrim actually did let you set how quickly you get dirty depending on where you are. splitting the world into 3 areas of city's, wilds, and dungeons and you could set the time scale.
    Love the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal even with it's iffy voice acting. It can be broken into parts easily enough.
    Moon and Star is also really good and has nice voice acting. This one relatively short tho you can extend it by not fast traveling and doing all of the side quests it gives.
    The Forgotten City is AWESOME! This one you have to be aware that once you start you can't leave again (with out a crazy spell of cheating) till you finish the story line.

    "Keep it Clean" seems appropriate for Leonard. "Crime Overhaul" would reinforce the story's realism: I love the sewers as an escape route, but I'm having difficulty believing that Leonard can commit all the crimes he does and not suffer for them, financially or otherwise. I mean, you called it: Elrindir having a midnight snack after Anoriath's murder?
    The other comments indicate that "Grey Cowl" presupposes an identity claim that Leonard has not yet made, namely, that he's the Dragonborn. Leonard probably shouldn't go on that one lest the narrative lose continuity. You mention in a recent video that you'd like for Leonard to buy a home--I think it would be more interesting to see Leonard establish a base of operations than go on any of the modded quests mentioned in this video. If it were me, I wouldn't sleep in the Ratway. Too bad the museum doesn't have a bed. . . .
    Take Richard on Project AHO.

    Oh a minor qol suggestion: Potion Mixer. It lets you distill the standard potions you pick up in chests and things like minor potions of healing into their stronger versions at a cooking pot. *Crime Overhaul SSE* - frankly, I think that this one is a must add provided it does not interfere with other mods... it is a joke that you get off so easy for murder and fines are tiny... Wergild did exist though they could often be significant especially as the importance of the individual to the community and kingdom were considered. It would also lend to the narrative as it would make things really exciting because of increased risks.
    *Daggers (Thrown Weapons)* - good idea, daggers seem very appropriate, a shame about 'how the dagger holding looks (it might be explainable by backstory or hand injury or childhood injury).
    *Bathing Mod* - while it fits his character it gets micro on a narrative level; personally, I think game tracking and adverse effects are less needed and just having the animation and option to do so... because you play him in character well enough. I always struggled with such mods because (a) historically period-wise people *were* filthy... I have never been partial to overly clean skin mods or longer fingernails on player character and (b) in a magic-rich world isn't their alteration spell... Remove Filth in combination with Cure Disease... given what magic can do in SSE... it is fully within the limits. Frankly, I would, for more realism, have Leonard start worrying about disease (maybe making a number of cure disease potions he downs post-sewer or crypts or regular visit to temples to purge disease)... because OCD around cleanliness tends to be tied to fear of disease (not always but often). Hygiene mods that focus on the charismatic aspects and fail to increase disease chances *fail as mods* IMHO (unless disease mod already factors in location and/or filth). So, personally, if you want... to sure, why not... but you are pretty darn lawful in playing your character and effects on abilities aside - just having the animation would be fine - but I also wonder other than in the wilderness with occasional humor whether it is not fine to fade to black as well - enter creek or bath - start animation - fade to black - just how many bathing scenes will have lengthy narrative - not many. Oh, and as an aside, unless you can find a mod that has Indigo bath with you (not like that... just bath in the stream at the same time like at gym wherein dialogue could happen)... eh, Leonard would never travel with a furry Khajitt who never bathed... otherwise every time they travelled together Leonard would feel he needs a bath. Given humanoid form inability to reach all parts of one's body - forget how real cats bath (for those who might be tempted to comment). Again, a lot of effort mod-wise for tiny screen time and a little humor.
    *Adventure Mods* - Great idea, but be chosen well... some general thoughts are (1) some are phenomenal for play though fair to middling in terms of voice work; (2) some will lock you into them until you finish... so length of adventure might matter, (3) are they indigo friendly - aka does he still offer commentary on surround even if not specific to mod though that would be even better - as silencing him would hurt narrative... oh, and, I forgot - can you even bring him - some mods do not allow which would be fine, but would have to be incorporated into narrative. I might offer specific comment later but on short notice these are general thoughts.
    *NAT* - I am a huge fan and would love to see it in action. Personally, I play with *No Floating Fog* (Close By Fog) and *Remove Interior Fog* (Distant Fog), which focus only on interior fogs - not exterior - may help with clarity and lighting in dungeons though I incorporated because while disturbed rock dust may kick-up in some caverns most caves - absence unique situations such as heat vents or volcanic activity creating geysers or steaming pools - you just would never have such fog underground - it's a pretty cool and constant temperature down in caves. I know that it is atmospheric, but it is not realistic and with deeper (but more clear) gloom and darkness - the atmosphere is maintained - and after a little playthrough you never miss it (Side Note: Vanilla lighting requires fog for atmosphere because there is relatively no darkness... so unless you increase darkness you should leave in fog... but once you replace non-real fog with real gloom and darkness it's fine atmospherically IMHO). While the fog mods have specific load order instructions, I believe they are easily installed-removed for testing purposes. While I have been using ELFX and know patches exist for it (0 for No Floating & 2 ELFX related for Remove Interior), I am not sure about your current lighting combo ELE-Relighting Skyrim.
    Request: I know you are always thinking about us and so my request is a light and friendly one to enhance the phenomenal job you already do... when you make a video like this and mention several specific mods on the potential list - could you include the links in descript to Nexus for ease of reference (not the whole bloody mod list... just the few you are considering and discussed. Thanks, for considering it... :)

      "historically period-wise people were filthy" The Elder Scrolls doesn't represent a single historical period. Different cultures and places in Tamriel range from a neolithic level of technology all the way up to a high medieval level, with a few more modern ideas and technologies thrown in here and there, some of which didn't exist IRL until the late 19th century. It's a fantasy world that draws on Romans, Vikings, Feudal Japan, Crusader Era Western Europe, ancient Egypt, and a variety of other time periods and places. It's not grounded in the equivalent of one real world place or time. Considering the some people bathed in some of those places and times that TES draws inspiration from, I see no reason to assume that bathing isn't common in TES.

      EnderDragonFire - With a friendly smile… save that the game original skin mods ranged from slightly dirty to pretty darn (suggesting creators view of world). I would say there is no reason to assume there is not… moreover, time period is pre-mechanical/industrial (as they cannot, for some reason recreate “dwarves’ tech,” do not have the medical sciences evolved even within alchemy, etc.,. I do not entirely disagree with you… hence my suggestion of magical solution by way of alteration spell is easily within the range of what magic can do in Skyrim. I would not say did not bath - even in “period” people bathed in tubs rivers or showers… just not often.
      All of which misses my overall point of a big mid for a little side humor and a couple of minutes of screen time that will get old and can just fade to black - at least IMHO.
      IMHO other mods have more valve.

    Hi gopher. I feel that you should probably do AHO a little bit later. Maybe after or even before you've completed Dawnguard and are about to start the main quest line. The story that it poses, seems like it would humble Leonard and make him more likely to try to save the world, not making him suddenly become lawful good or whatever, but making him maybe look at thing a bit differently not too different but a bit of character development. Could also open him up to trying more of the vanilla quest lines that before he would avoid. The way I've been seeing it from watching is that he is reasonable and the story of AHO could actually make him reflect on his actions. I just don't feel like it's a good time to play a mod like that at this point in the story. Of course I could be completely wrong and nothing will humble Leonard. But that would be an interesting story, but no matter what I'm going to still watch it and I'm looking forward to it. As for armor I actually designed a set for Leonard specifically, I just don't have the skill to model or implement it. If you want me to send it over let me know, maybe you can find someone to make it for you. Anyway thank you for your hard work, I've enjoyed your videos for years now and I'm looking forward to the future.

      That why i edited to say before, but it could also be after if he decided to go with the dawnguard, probably just because the volk. vampires are ugly and unsanitary. Leonard don't like dirty or ugly i do not think. Also I agree it need to be before the main quest continues any further. probably will be good for chapter three. But who knows what will happen. i don't really see Leonard as volk. vampire, yet i still see him as another bloodline of vampire. I'm curious what Gopher will decide. Also thank you for sharing your thoughts as well.

    The Forgotten City is my favorite quest mod of all time, but I feel it would call for its own mini chapter. When you begin the quest you pretty much get trapped in the area (which is quite massive for just a "city") until you figure everything out/reach one of the endings.

  • @LoKing617
    @LoKing617 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal is best done after Leonard discovers he is the Dragonborn (I don't think the quest will even start until that happens). The quest itself is long enough to be a mini-chapter, easily 10+ episodes to finish if you do everything.
    I also highly recommend the Forgotten City, it fits in with Lenny's character and there's a great excuse for him to even start the quest. You can start this quest whenever you want and it won't affect anything else.
    Legacy of the Dragonborn also has a lot of quests, you'll just have to discover them as you play.

    *Washing*
    Keep it clean is good, especially with the baths and soaps it adds. the dirty effect is good and I've had no compatability problems. I just reinstalled the oldrim mod Bathing in Skyrim into SSE and it seems to be fully working, the mod menu is functional, detection of if you're actually in water, getting dirty works, and Bathing in Skyrim has two things over Keet it Clear. 1. You can use a reusable washrag to clean in a pinch if you don;t have any soap, and 2. It DOES in fact increase your dirtiness depending on whether you are in town, the wilds, or dungeons! Highly recommend bething in skyrim, and for that matter keep it clean as well, i just thing BiS is a bit better. If you;re ok doing conversions go with bathing, if not go with Keep it clean, well worth using.
    *Clothing*
    If you want very fancy clothes, especially if you want to change up outfits a lot, you may want to consider Divine Elegance. It adds a shop where the clothes are sold so it's a trip out to buy clothing, and the pieces are all quite expensive, in both cothing and armour variants. A lot of it is the fancier outfits ported from the witcher series, so if you you want some of the fancy clothes from blood and wine that could be for you.
    *Weapons*
    Weapon wise it depends on how lore firendly you want to be but project flintlock could fit if you think leonard would run around with a blunderbuss on his back, the SSE version has some smithing rebalance to make the ammo considerably more expensive.
    *Misc*
    I think you;ve used 5 o' clock shadow in the past? if not could be good if you want some changes of beardliness.
    If you;d like to get in some fancy money making, honeystrand meadery gives you a frankly shocking amount of choice in brewing and selling various alcohols.

    Hi Gopher. Keep it Clean is a really nice mod and updated recently with some nice small touches. Its very immersive and you can set it so your not literally getting filthy every single day or hour so that helsp with micro managing. In the Oldrim game there was a Bathing In Skyrim that did have percentages of how dirty you got in either 1) dungeons, 2) wasteland and 3) cities and interiors so you could control how dirty a specific place got you. I dont think it was able to control things like spider spit. But that mod has never been ported to SE ( maybe soemone could do that) and Keep It Clean does pretty much all of it apart from the zone percentages. As far as quests i really liked Forgotten Cities and its not Dragonborn heavy. Any character could play it as it very much feel likes a unique and unrelated story and not too long either so would not take up a whole chapter. I think Moonpath to Elsweyr would be fun simply for Inigo's sake and his life and adventures with you but then again you have played it before so how fun the repition would be is your call.

    -The first 3 mods sound like they would fit in perfectly for Leonard.
    -The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal is also a mod that would fit perfectly, but as someone else mentioned, I think it assumes your character knows they are dragon born.
    -I can not recommend the Forgotten City more. It would also fit beautifully with Leonard as there is the promise of great riches.
    -I also wanted to ask where you are at with SkySouls. I know you mentioned you were having issues with it, but if you can get it working I think it would work really well for you narratively.
    -One last mod recommendation would be Insanity Clause. Not sure if you've heard of it, but it is a fun little quest mod that might work well with Leonard around Christmas. Plus the Narrator has one of the best voices I've ever heard in Skyrim. I mean that guy's voice it just smooth butter.

    Nice, looking forward to any of that really. I got 2 main suggestions. Armor Rating Redux for additional balance to your game, and maybe *clears throat* 'Dynamic Immersive Seriously Dark Dungeons'. The names a bit much and mildly misleading. :P
    First ups Armor Rating Redux. It's awesome, it hasn't caused any lag or crashes so it seems pretty stable. Basically it makes how much %reduction you get from armor at base to 0, and then gives you a buff (which can be seen in your magic tab if you want, toggle for that) to determine your actual physical reduction. Has a few formulas to choose from plus you can change how each one scales. Current skyrim with Ordinator is +.125 per point of armor (12.5% per 100). Issue with that is each piece of armor is better then the last making the initial few hundred practically useless and the later amounts absurdly more potent.
    By default it uses a similar formula to Warframe, but is set to a .6 to try and mimic the 667 = 80% from base Skyrim. I personally set it to .5 so every 200 armor is +100% effective health (50% at 200, 67 at 400, 75 at 600, 80% at 800 and so on). Also has options so you can cap it at whatever % you want or let it use any armor you manage to accumulate which is still pretty balanced overall. Downside/upsides to that is it'll make most NPC's a little tougher as there crappy 50-100 base armor will now actually be around 36% DR instead of 6. But you know, same goes for you.
    As far as Dynamic Immersive Seriously Dark Dungeon's I recommend it because it lets you toggle light sources on and off... in dungeons. Sadly it doesn't alter them outside of that so you wouldn't be able to snuff out candles in an inn so this was more of a light suggestion. But it is pretty awesome having the mod scan a dungeon, turn light sources off based off if theres any NPC's nearby them (and being based off the kind of NPC). So for me, on realistic setting, all the lights are off in Nordic dungeons as an example, but I can light the brazers as I go a long to create pockets of light.
    It's also awesome in that if I hit up a bandit hideout it'll be more light up but if I return in a few days cause I forgot something lets say, it'll 'recheck' on entry, and with no bandits alive all those lights will of gotten turned off, like they burned out. Cool little immersive bit. Major downside to that though is in the largest dungeons I've seen it take up to 15-ish seconds before it's finished scanning but you tend to edit out loadscreens anyway, so that would just be a different point to start back up. And, again, it only does those checks in hostile 'dungeons', inns houses and exteriors it doesn't run on.
    And last, but not least, is an ENB suggestion for if you ever decide to make that jump. Little ol' ENB called Organic ENB. Now theres a few reasons I suggest this one. The major, huge point is it takes skyrims screen space into account. I cannot stress enough how no ENB's do that. I'm sure theres 1-2 other ones that do I haven't run into yet but its currently a sea of ignoring screen space. Like when your screens supposed to black out, or change color from that one mage quest? Completely ignored in other ENB's, nothing happens. Some have a Nighteye 'fix' but that really just changes the screen space when 2 parameters are met and frankly most screen space changes meet those damn requirements. So with that on if your screen 'blacks out' your nighteye effect form the ENB gets turned on instead lol.
    Anyway, if you check it out the screenshots use heavy bloom. I personally toned that down .35 instead of the .5, but I think a .1 to .2 probably would be preferable. I just like the .35 look because when your in interiors, and with the more orange colored fire it just constantly gives me that old Conan movie vibe. Plus it keeps a lot of the lighting looking softer. The .5 it's at by default those is absurd, literally hurt my eyes it was to bloomy.
    Oh and another side note on it, it actually keeps the day/night cycle more like the actual weather mod your using. I've had A LOT of ENBs make it go nighttime at like 5-6pm. It's crazy how dark it'll get so early with other ones, this one seems to keep it a bit more normal and the dawn/dusk times are just crazy beautiful. Can't get over the sky color changes the enb makes. I'd frankly recommend tweaking this ENB over changing to NAT. It will give you that change you want with out requiring to change to a different weather mod.
    Ah, one last thing (wall of text much?) I still have to turn it off for night eyes. Organic uses it's own special adaption (which I had off for awhile) and if you turn it off, night eyes will work just fine all be it, probably not as bright as you normally have it set to. Which is bad for me due to how dark my dungeon/night settings are (wont be a problem for you). But, those special adaption settings make interiors look so much better (with it on, Nighteyes just over-contrasts with out brightening). With out them on theres a much starker change between light and dark areas to the point of dark areas being not visible even though your in an inn, it should be. Anyway, i just have your dynamic vision nightvision button same as turning off the ENB. (numb-pad enter), you'd probably want to just have it be 2 buttons next to each other since I use a controller, not really hitting the enter key that much normally. :P

    I looked at Keep it Clean myself since I'm big on the immersion mods, but the amount of world spaces it edited worried me a bit. And it was really beyond the scope of what I was looking for. So I found this much simpler mod:
    www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3758
    That one just adds a very basic cleanliness system and the ability to make/buy soap to bathe with. I don't know which one will be right for Lenny but I thought I'd toss it out for consideration.

    The thing to note about The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal is that it does reference you're character being dragonborn, I don't know if it does if you haven't discovered that yet, maybe someone can tell me if it does or not. Just something to bear in mind if you are going to download that

    It would be super cool if towns had bathhouses and such. Also, would love to see a primitive "washing machine" that you could place in your home so you could wash your clothes or a wash house in the holds somewhere as a stand alone building or at an inn.

    I Think the vampire side of the dawnguard questline suits Leonard, because he has Said many times that he isn't looking to die, and vampirism solves that problem

    I did play and really did enjoy AHO. It's quite well done and I would recommend it. Idk if it matches Leonard's style however, it would be interesting to see how he would react to chaos and being thrown off his original course or plan. How would Leonard react and handle having to handle things differently than he would normally. Also, Inigo would not be with him so he'd be at it alone. It would require it's own chapter or mini chapter as you would be restricted to the location of AHO until reaching a certain point in the story. I would recommend holding off from this mod until you've gotten to the point in the main story where Leonard is recognized as the dragonborn. After reaching this point it would not break the immersion. At some point in AHO, they call the player the dragonborn and if you're not at that stage, it would throw off the story.
    Following the theme of chaos and throwing leonard into something he isn't used to, I would love to see him explore Darkend. He would be away from inigo and would be interesting to see how he faces mostly creepy and undead creatures. He would have to learn how to fight a certain way and also would have to be able to manage his food and other consumables that he has. This mod is quite difficult and will trap him in a new location. Since there is no fast travelling, there would be no way off the map until it's been completed. This would also require it's own chapter as it's quite the lengthy map and A LOT to explore. The rewards are pretty interesting in my opinion and I think leonard would enjoy them as they would fit him being an assassin and all. If nothing else to act as trophies from having conquered that location.
    I love your play through and thank you very much for all the work and effort you're putting into this. I look forward to seeing what else leonard has in store for him.

    Definitely gray cowl and forgotten city. Also i feel like Leonard might like the Mercenary armor (part of hothtrooper’s immersive armors) *IF* you decide to do one of these new lands/quest mods, particularly one that might take you to a more... temperate climate. I feel that particular armor has a sort of dashing rogue, swashbuckler feel to it for some obvious reasons, but it is a bit... exposed for skyrim’s northern climates.

    Gray Cowl, absolutely! As well, not exactly a quest mod, but Shezrie's Old Hroldan is a great, little mod which turns that no-horse town into a viable community and a fine commercial resource, with some cool secrets to uncover. =^[.]^=

    Sounds good, but I'd highly recommend the graphical mod that goes alonside The Gray Cowl o Nocturnal as it was an older mod with lower res texture (plus the graphical mod adds some vegetation to certain areas to make it look more lived in ;) ).
    I love the idea of Keep it Clean, but I think it was simplified a bit oversimplified in the SE version, the oldrim version looks much more appealing and immersive to me, but I'd still be down with that for Leonard ;). Also, I never considered what you were saying about getting dirty based on locations and circumstances, but that makes total sense!
    Also, I think you should try Sneak Tools, or at least something similar considering Leonard has wished he could knock people out, which is one of the many things that mod offers ;).
