I think it's a problem on the end of their servers. Our high download speeds don't matter if their upload speeds aren't equal, which are probably being bottlenecked due to everyone requesting the server to send the same update to their Xbox.
But I just uninstalled and installed again and it started going faster so does it require there servers to download said game? Cause if it doesn't then theirs a possible solution.

So common drops in download speeds are common with xbox servers.
However doing updates early in the morning does not help.
Doing it in the afternoon will help because not a lot of people will be doing updates as much as the morning.

It’s taking me 7 hours and counting for 673 mb
1 hour for 10 mb for a 4 GB update

Here is the best settings for me:
DNS Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1 Secondary DNS: 1.0.0.1
Make sure to clear your wireless/wired MAC Address. Change Your Alternate port selection to very last one below the list. Turn off network transfer. Also turn off other devices that are interfering with your internet. if your internet router is
close plug in a ethernet cable from the router to your xbox as this will give you more faster speeds. Change your internet settings in your internet providers wifi settings in a browser. Search up best wifi settings.

Edit: Try restarting your Xbox, if it doesn’t work uninstall Fortnite

he probably has slow internet to begin with. most people posting vids like this have bad internet, so they gotta do what they can to speed it up. the part where he goes on the pc and changes the delivery settings really worked for me. i usually have good download speed. today it was stuck at 10 mmbps when i usually get 200. i changed the delivery settings except for the upload limit and i got 280-294 of what my plan's 300 speed is. id say not too shabby. so yeah he was probably in the kbs before. idk if the google dns helps though, but i tried that before i went to youtube for help.
@@2skoopz733 well I have the newest frontier WiFi and my Xbox is right next to it and I still get about 20kbps. Tbh I think it might just be fortnite or Xbox rather than peoples WiFi.

Andrew McIntyre just uninstall and reinstall .. idk why but mine always downloads faster that way.. probably the fortnite update servers are overloaded, but the game install servers are fine..

I tested network speed and my download was 200. I was downloading cod modern warfare at 8mbps!

I have read most of the comments and replies and it seems this video has varying results. but I have found the comments to be helpful as well, many have said its a select few games (e.x. Fortnite call of duty) based of the comments the 2 things I have found most helpful is first try unplugging and plugging in your Ethernet cable, if you don't have one i suggest getting one. if that doesn't work than try uninstalling said game that is going slow and reinstalling, Personally this has worked for me and is all I can suggest at the moment.

8.8.8.8 is Google's DNS Servers. However, if you want slightly better performance, you can do 1.1.1.1 for primary and 1.0.0.1 for secondary. 1.1.1.1 is Cloudflare's servers and are slightly faster and more reliable. But, for most people's use cases, both will work just fine.
I also use cloudflare and agree it is better
For the DNS thing it's Primary: 8.8.8.8 and Secondary: 8.8.4.4 this is to use Google DNS. And I believe it helped cuz I'm downloading sightly higher than the top of my previous range but it's staying stagnant up there. 👌🏻
So my issue is my internet goes really high but the update gives only 10 kbps which is so small compared what I got any help?

I’ve found that the less gb it has to download the longer it takes. A measly 2gb update takes 3 hours whilst a 20gb game takes 30 minutes
My settings says my download speed is 278 Mbps but when I’m updating games it’s only 15 Kbps😢😭😭😭

Everything was fine until I decided to download the Blu Ray player. Now I'm getting like 5 kbps but when I go to test my connection it says I'm getting 10 mbps...
When I update forntite or warzone
When it gets to 80% it starts download at 60 kbps
And when it gets to 90% it just good again
