Skip Geer who wrote for Antique Chevy Journal told me years ago that Chevy WWll weapons carriers were given Pontiac flat head 6's. My neighbors had one made into a dump truck. I was scratching my head when I saw that power plant with "GM" markings. it was like a ton 1 1/2 ton with regular cab.

      I contacted my dad.
He’s had 3 military trucks in this era.
      One was a 1-1/2 ton 2 wheel drive, it had a 216.
      Another one was a 4 (6) wheel drive, it had a 235.
It’s hard to determine what is what.
