    I bought this new remote and I like it. I use it to turn on all three of my GoPros at the same time while on my motorcycle. This means the three tracks are usually synced when I add them to the video editing software, saving me from having to do it. So far so good.

    I'm fairly certain the battery indicator shown when using the remote is for the CAMERA, not the remote. Very handy! I used the remote for quite a while. When I plugged the remote in to charge, the indicator on the remote battery was still showing 100%. Seems to have a great battery life.

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, we figured that out too after this video. It's a little strange that it shows the GoPro battery life and not the remote battery life. Would be nice if that was a little more obvious in the interface.

    It's what you say, I bought the Smart Remote control for my Hero7, bought a Hero 11 as an update, and now I can't use the Smart Remote on the Hero 11...
    one would then say they make a new "THE REMOTE" in the hope that the software is compatible with all versions of GoPro...no so...
    a pity ... so I'm not going to buy an extra remote, that way you stay busy and you're left with a lot of remote controls in the end 😠

    Are you able to change the settings (shutter, fps, FOV) with the remote?
    I miss the opportunity to have more presets then one in Max lens mode and ability to change mentioned setting with the remote as a workaround would be handy.
    I don't know if it is a bug or feature in Max lens mode to have just one preset, but to me looks like a bug.
    Thank you

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No manual settings can be controlled with the remote, unfortunately. It would need a more sophisticated interface for that. We agree about Max lens mod not having enough presets.

    I have a question. Is the USB Port waterproof or not? Can it be rinsed? Mine got corroded after one use in the ocean within 30 minutes. Customer support says it cannot be rinsed out with fresh water. But the flap does not prevent the port from getting wet. What is your experience with that?

    Personally I have never had a great experience with the app. It hangs, doesn’t display and takes up a huge amount of memory. I am using the hero 8 and have turned to LumaFusion for editing. Even the mimo app does better than gopro. Such a pity they don’t put more thought into the app. If done properly it could bring the whole experience to a new level!

      Same here. The app is great in theory, but isn't consistently good when you're actually using it. In that sense, we're glad to ditch the app remote control for this one instead.

    Like everything GoPro, cost and use ability is not up to the mark, I use Hero 7 and 8 with a smart remote for each, unfortunately the remote will not charge and function as the GoPro will not either, my solutions, use power bank for GoPro, without battery installed as this causes issues, removed the internal battery from the remote and hard wired a 1000 ma single cell lipo mounted on the outside with a plug so battery can be changed if required , usually last me all day on my motorcycle. One of the best things on GoPro which unfortunately will not work via an external mic Inside my helmet, Is voice control, still a bit iffy but when it works it is brilliant, stay safe.

Also i have the max lens too... if someone can answer that for me id really appreciate it thank you. I press mode while timewarp is on and it says "highlight added" im not trying to add highlight i want to get it to regular speed then back to time warp on the fly w the remote but at 2.7K if you can help me figure this out id be really thankful. I just bought my new Gopro Hero 10. I'm looking for a remote device. The price of the Gopro remote is almost $80 and the Generic brand around $30 less. Is the generic brand such Telesin, Reygeak, Yoctop and other generic brand works as good as the Gopro brand. I'm just a beginner and use for personal use only. Is it worth to the big difference in price? And what is the pros and con. Thanks
