On the waterproof charger, will it charge/power th GoPro while it is recording? In previous model, if a charging cable is connected, the GoPro will not record.
I would like to have a better low light performance like ace pro instead of a bunch new features not related to the image quality. Anyway it's still good to see the early review of GP13.
I don't think GoPro are listening to the consumers. GoPro dropped the ball after the Hero3. I loved my Hero3's but the GoPros I purchased after that are VERY temperamental cameras. I don't use them when I need to get really important shots. GoPro's share price has collapsed since 2015. GoPro has been in the wilderness for over 10 years. The 5 second 'burst' slow motion would be useless and very much a gimmick.
My gopro 11 says missing files and does not save my videos? Bought brand new just have not had time to mess with it. Anybody else know what this problem could be or should I sell it
The gopro 13 audio quality with bluetooth connection is lessened when compared to the native audio from the mic. idk why such problem is not present in other devices that can connect to DJI MIC2.
I have a GoPro12, and the only thing that excites me about the latest one is the macro lens. Im a bit disappointed that they only made it compatible with the 13 and probably the next versions🙁🤷🏻♀️
Good rundown of the features. One thing I'd say about the auto-cinematic mode on the ND filters is that it does't aim to keep the shutter at double the frame rate. Instead, Auto-cinematic maximises the motion blur while not going so far as to prevent HyperSmooth from working effectively. In other words, if you want effective HyperSmooth as well as motion blur, Auto-cinematic in conjunction with the Motion Blur Auto setting is the way to go.

Great review, I don't feel a need to watch any others after that, thank you. All great updates, but I can't help but feel it's too little too late. Myself and everyone I know has moved to DJI or Insta360 after the reliability issues of GoPro. How reliable has the 13 been during testing, have you ever needed to remove the battery to reset it, any corrupt footage or missing audio?
Zero software glitches in the 7 days I’ve been testing. Also haven’t had glitches with the Hero 12 or 11.
I’m thinking to upgrade 10 to 13 because it supports dji mic, how handy is that ?
I think it’s pretty handy, but I do notice a slight drop in audio quality when recording via Bluetooth. To get better quality, it’s best to record the audio internally to the Mic 2 and synchronize in post.
@@Gemini_Connect got you thanks 🙏
Great video and congratulations!
This is a cool upgrade but I think I’ll keep my hero 12 and get the pocket 3 I’ve been saving up for.
Are these lens mods backwards compatible? Could I use them on my hero 12?
PS: YES! Please make a video comparing this to the action 4 and the awesome ACE PRO!! :)
Lenses, filters, and batteries are not backwards compatible ☹️
On the waterproof charger, will it charge/power th GoPro while it is recording? In previous model, if a charging cable is connected, the GoPro will not record.
I’m not positive, but I believe it will.
Great review thank you. Looking forward to receiving mine
my concerns: distortion, I want little to no distortion if possible for mountain bike POV vids. I'm also curious about the low light performance.
I would like to have a better low light performance like ace pro instead of a bunch new features not related to the image quality. Anyway it's still good to see the early review of GP13.
Is there a way to transfer a video from a GoPro to a iPhone without being such a big file size. Takes up all the storage on my iPhone. Thanks
Got to wait for DJI A5 comparison, then I’ll decide which upgrades my Hero5 blk
I have the GoPro 12, looking forward to it 🎉🎉🎉
I only needed to one thing Dji is still better gopro going out sad 😂😊😅
is it too hard for gopro to at least match the sony rx0 ii super slow mo 480 and 960? they did it with a 1 inch sensor.
Can you use the waterproof charger to power the gopro without the battery inside?
I have a GoPro12, and the only thing that excites me about the latest one is the macro lens. Im a bit disappointed that they only made it compatible with the 13 and probably the next versions🙁🤷🏻♀️
yep...seems like they are saying this is "a new generation"....
Thank you. And well done. I own a 7 black and I'm considering it's time to upgrade. The add on lens would be helpful.
I have a 7 black also. If I also wanted more versatile I think I will do the X4.
This will be a HUGE upgrade from the Hero 7!
Good rundown of the features. One thing I'd say about the auto-cinematic mode on the ND filters is that it does't aim to keep the shutter at double the frame rate. Instead, Auto-cinematic maximises the motion blur while not going so far as to prevent HyperSmooth from working effectively. In other words, if you want effective HyperSmooth as well as motion blur, Auto-cinematic in conjunction with the Motion Blur Auto setting is the way to go.
low light best GoPro 13 or dji pocket 3
How much, did u Say ? Nice video any way, I'm so happy GoPro has come back with this powerful camera and new features
Can all the lens fitted into GP11?
