My understanding is that the music is royalty free and should not get copyright strikes. If you do get flagged for copyright, you can always submit as appeal, which generally results in the charge being dropped.
Thanks for going into what this app can do. I’ve never edited a video, only photos. So my learning curve is really wide. I just got my GoPro Hero9 a few days ago, and I’m just finding it hard to get started.
Editing video like with color correction and cropping is similar to photos. But the sequencing of clips is definitely quite different. I find it easier to learn video editing on a desktop computer software like Final Cut. On mobile, Power Director is a great app for straightforward video editing.
Drone will auto split the video every 4GB. I see there are lots of small video clips when to output the shooting footage, what should I do If I want a full-length video?

good evening, I have been trying to upload a 3 min video to youtube from the app and always says that it can not be downloaded. I did it in 4K but I also change the upload to 1080P and the result was the same. Do you have any recommendation for long videos with the app? Thank you
I mostly use my GP10 for scuba diving. When we dive I have to use a 3rd party app to correct the color so I download the GP footage to iPhone photos and correct the color once it’s downloaded to my phone. But when I try to upload the videos from my phone back to Quik in order to use the AI to create a highlight video I’m unable to do so.
I noticed when I had a video over 7 minutes long, I wanted to edit the video with a title, music, and so forth but it only gave me 1:30 fron the 7 minute long video? So is there a app I can use like the Quik app to edit and keep my 7 minute long video?
I made a modification to a mural and now I cant add any more photos? Also I have Microsoft one drive and can not add those photos to the phone quik ap. I enjoy your informative videos!
Thanks for the tutorial. I just got the new Hero 10 and tried editing with it. It seems to start off well, but I'm getting long periods of a black screen with only music playing towards the end of my video. Is anyone else experiencing this? I did notice that when I try to trim the video, there are some red dots among the green dots at the bottom. I wonder if this has anything to do with it?
It did happened with my Note 10+. Now that I've switched to iPhone 13 PM, I haven't encountered the problem anymore. My take is that, it's because of the resolution in which the GPU and Processor of the phone couldn't handle.

During the next few weeks will spend more time editing current footage and learning more about it. I also have DJI Fly App, which is also very intuitive, easy to use, can also use with either your smartphone or dji drone and did a new video with it today, so it'd be really interesting to compare the 2 editing apps.

I am a newbie to the world of GoPro. I keep running to an error message. "there was a problem preparing your edit" How do I get past this and what am I doing wrong. Using a Motorola 5G ATT android.
After owning the Insta One R, and the last 3 heros, including the 9. I think Gopro is really on the verge of losing it's leadership in the market. I find the Insta app better as well personally. And after just getting the Insta GO 2 and compairing it's footage with the 9, I was blown away at how that little camera competes with the 9, because it shouldn't be close IMO. They better go BIG with the 10. Great video with the Go Pro app though.
I agree with you about Insta's app. It's A LOT more sophisticated than GoPro's, mainly because it has to edit 360 video, but it's AI edits are pretty sweet. To me, Quik is an OK effort by GoPro, but they're really playing catchup to Insta and other app makers.
@@Seminoles11 We have the One R too and love it, BUT the 2 deal breakers with that canera are 1) the sound sucks (internal and external mics), and 2) having to run the videos through Insta360 Studio to get stabilization applied. If not for those 2 things, we'd likely be using it more instead of our GoPro.
I feel the internal is better then the gopro midya mod. But yeah you have to use Active mics like the rode2, passive mics like the micro and Deity D4 arnt gonna work. Also I don't mind running it through the app for stabalization anymore because I found I really like the ability to change the frame in post. So it takes very little extra time to run it through the app for that feature.

@@Gemini_Connect I had that problem at first with the insta while moving at first too. After removing the side door at first when I was trying to use external mics (so it dosnt rub against the cage) and moving the the Ulanzi aluminum cage, I stopped having that issue. Also like I said, battery powered mics are the only externals that can give usable audio. Still hope with future firmware updates that could be fixed?

Ok, I found the solution to view the video. I finally found a way to view the GoPro footage without buying a new iPad or watching it on tv and buying the media mod case to get hdmi. And you still only get 1080 video. I search for over a month, as I want a media player to play of the SD card that I can store away. Reality is this camera not going to work 10-20 yr in the future so you need a media player that can play all your camera save video. Ok I found amazon old media player goggle 2 gen fire box media player" ( 5"x5" X 1/2" ) it can play go pro 8 in 2 k but only in 30 fps not 60 fps and check online you can buy a 2 k 13" tv that quality. Still experimenting how high resolution it can go. But it's a very beautiful video. You really need a tv beyond 1080p to enjoy the camera. An fine tune the tv to get amazing colors.

This stupid app squeezes the video length. For eg a 30 sec video when imported for editing was turned into 9 secs. Is there any work around
