Look into the contract Facebook and cognizant have together. It's horrific what the employees have to go through, watching content of animal torture, child rape, violence, bestiality, etc...
thanks for bringing this up. lot of times people think they work for a facebook or google project , but they end up doing cleansing. Same thing is true for so many FAANG guys, They end up doing routine task.
Oh my god...I did IT for their Facebook project in Arizona. And...I can tell you stories. They are the single and most AWFUL company to work for. Their senior management are idiots and treat everyone underneath them like garbage. And god forbid should you get a review and you don't get 100% on it, then they consider it an automatic fail. VERY TOXIC...STAY AWAY!!!!!!
I joined Cognizant recently as a fresher. I'm very much upset by their policies and I see no future here. Almost every other fresher I know in Cognizant want to leave Cognizant as soon as they get experience.
freshers also have to worry because we can put into any domain which may not be ur interest. Thereby wasting a lot of time. almost 9hrs a day which could be used to gain some good experience in which ever domain u like AI,ML,DataScience,etc.
Many of my friends faced this issue with CTS. Everyone feels insecure there. In every level this happens. They always search for other jobs instead of focusing in their work. It impacts in productivity also.

at your experience, i would like to avoid going for managerial role. Managerial roles are considered easily replaceable. Specially in CTS, if you saw my video I posted yesterday on my new channel "InvestU", It appears attrition is really gone out of control at CTS. What that indicates is, there is negative chit chatter among employees in the company. That affects your mental health.
It's a good package, no tension at all. All worries will be gone. So you should take higher CTC by Cognizant. Let me know if there are good openings for Pharmaceutical professionals as well. 😊
I had bad experience with wipro and CTS both during interviews. I blocked them in all job search platforms. Their HRs are rude, unprofessional and having no interest in Technology or Business. Even their interviewers seemed to be searching jobs outside.
Would recommend freshers to not go for Cognizant. Worst company. They have been delaying the onboarding for months, dragged the pre-joining internship for months with 25774 useless tests and interviews (this is after you get an offer letter). HR, Coach, no one cares about you, neither will they reply to your concerns and queries. This company gave me nothing but anxiety and depression. Also, this is my condition before even joining the job. Even if you get another company of low package, please, please, go for it over Cognizant. Don't start your career in this company. They don't treat you like employees, or even humans.

Starting with startup will give you exposure beyond your profile. If the startup grows, you will gain immensely. Sql and power BI to start with is okay... you will see your career in business intelligence domain. It is close to data analytics and data engineering. So you have space to navigate.

As a fresher i noticed people are chasing information like salary, increments, growth, health benifits, holidays of a company, hiring companies etc.... on the contrary i talk of strategic thinking like developing skills, personality, thinking which is a long term goal for every fresher to stay ahead. unfortunately freshers want short term gains... thats why you will see this channel has smaller audience...

IBM is not a growing. and has seen lot of pressure. despite challenging times I feel CTS is better. Please be mindful, IBM is a big company and only IT services business we are talking about.

For full stack java developer , i think both are fine. But for work life balance, Societe Generale will score higher as its European and french background means lot of employee friendly policies and easy work conditions. All Indian IT is growing double digit and even non Indian IT companies(Accenture, Capagemini,...) have largest ofshore centre in India. apparently When you operate at such large scale, Some projects would face quality issues . its not apple to apple comparision. Ericsson is not IT services company but a telecom or network company. the difference would be, in IT companies you work on projects but in Ericsson you will be working in teams which work on tools may be OSS/BSS. so you won't have to change projects , or nothing like bench.
They mostly fired Director and above band . 90 percent were those folks which is #GOOD decision who got promoted just because they were from IIM or Tamilian. Wipro Infosys fires middle band People who are below director band in mass

both have this high attrition problem. but cognizant is touching all time high now....that handled this issue very badly. you can choose either ....both are almost similar in all aspects....in this case, i would stress upon skills. if you are upskilling regularly, things will be fine.

for Job safety and brand value, Deloitte scores higher. you are a data warehouse resource but skills are PL/SQL, not enough for future. Dataware house is much broader term. please upskill in data engineering .

Congratulations Pavan...you seem to have hit to jackpot.. :) I have no idea of your skills. So i provide you my general readings. Alert: Long answer (Means I take all of you seriously) Softcrylic in its 20 years existence couldn't scale beyond 200-300 people. Ideally it shoulud have been much bigger name now... so i have no views on that....Just in principal thought. Capagemini is french name and are generally considered very easy people ..But you will have Indianized version of it. So think of it like any other company. but you have no idea which industry, customers you will be working on.... CAPCO is in financial services and also in energy...SO you know most likely you will get one of them.... BFSI is very hot area... major revenue for IT come from BFSI...so in terms of longer career , it looks good Engery is under pressure right now, as traditional energy sources are less likely to be in use few years later with clean engery coming up... However still clean energy also need people...This space is evolving, can't comment ..Little uncertainity On acqusition front: We don't know how this integration will shape up... we might have Wipro management handling CAPCO or we have CAPCO working independently... No matter who controls CAPCO, you will be working in BFSI or Energy.... or you can change them... Only problem is, Wipro increments are poor.... and if CAPCO manged by wipro completely , you will have poor increments too..... you will have to decide what you think is the right mix for you.... things are not black and white...you can not choose either black or white....its a tradoff

Cognizant payscale is similar to other IT companies... even if they pay higher, people will join and leave quickly if internal environment is stressful

Hi Abhishek, this negativity in cognizant is past event. They are still facing the consequences and current demand cycle is so high that whoever didn't find takers, all are getting opportunities now. So that reflects in this huge outgoing rush in the company. as a beginner nothing you need to worry, anyway you are going for higher studies, so whatever you do in next 1-2 years is not going to impact that.

Arjit, i am hoping your hometown is kolkata. too many choices sometimes confuse us. had you not joined CTS, i would have recommended Accenture. But now you are there , so i don't see a big incentive to change so quickly. Rather focus on making full use of this period and learn skills. Things will fall in line and you will be able to maximize it. Skill is most imporant and avoid few mistakes which i will talk in future. if you are a subscriber , you will know when i post that video. also stay engaged. very important for personality development. you will do wonders . Stay max 2-3 years in CTS. please know that your love for staying in hometown can be deterrent in your big career growth.

@@BingeLearn sure, the first thing is that they're so unprofessional specifically the it team i got all the way to Gurgaon to collect my systems no reimbursements available for that expense, got 3 monitors for my work but 2 of them not even working as they forgot the software installation, i raised the ticket reached to my managers but no response not even a single helping hand from tech support they're asking me to get all the bulky desktop and take it along with me to the office incase i wanna continue the job, they were still complaining about my output the frustration took over and i finally resigned.. As an employ it's not my job to assemble the computers or arranging wires and softwares, pathetic company

Hello Anand, I am glad that you've identified this problem early in your career. its a big problem as you will be stuck .many people take years to know that. Analyst is little misleading. it depends on company . Some analyst code, some do business analysis..its quite vast. Have you thought what you want to do ?

Are they assigned their role/experience specific projects or are alloted random projects (just like what happens with freshers.) Also, can experienced people expect to be on bench after they join cognizant? And my third question, can I re negotiate salary even after saying my expected salary in the HR round?
I will talk about this someday..."what happens after hiring" in detail. If you are a subscriber, you will get to know. My response: 1. Companies hire for projects and in general. So it depends. Do ask them 2. Yes exp people can be on bench. 3. Ideally not , but if you have a valid reason. You can request them to offer higher salary.

I quoted my expected CTC and they didn't try to negotiate it. So far, I have filled up one simple form which they sent me before technical round (the CIS form asked for name, email, pan, experience, that's it. Didn't ask for any documents). It has been a few days and I received no communication from them. They aren't picking up calls or replying. What are the chances of getting the offer? Is cognizant known for verbally confirming and then not sending offer letter?
@@sayansahoo4746 there is high demand reactjs at the moment. I am hoping they should come back to you. HR wait from project teams, before issuing offer letter. And HR normally has no control over this process. They are like postman who can deliver letter only if there is one for you. Don't chase them..

@@gauravgadre385 ohh... teamcenter is a PLM system by siemens and widely used in manufacturing or industrials setups. having Java background, they would have put you in that. I am sure you have assessed Teamcenter and if you are not convinced and do not have interest, probably nothing wrong in moving on. You can also speak to HR, if you don't relate to the project well.
I am getting 12.2 CTC including 50k variable in Cognizant + 75k joining bonus. For TCS I am getting 11CTC plus 50k joining bonus. But there are so many deductions in TCS component breakup and hence in hand salary will be less. Please advise. Both are for related to Al skillset.

I have requested TCS to atleast increase the CTC to 11.5 but it seems highly unlikely and also in hand will be less owing to high no.of components. Please help to let me know which one should be preferred as per your opinion. CTS policies and benefits are good, 36 leaves along with insurance covered though coverage is roughly about 4lakhs. Also CTS pays gratuity on ur behalf. It also provides fuel reimbursement and additionally 1800WFH allowance per month outside CTC.
@@saswatdas6137 here is my take: I am assuming you have exp 3-5 years. with AI skillset, you need bigger brand.... both together will do magic for you in longer run.. it is not just AI skills but how you use them is important.. my thinking is, you will get more learning, there in TCS as their client base is solid I.e. big MNCs . So ignore short term small losses. You have much more to achieve.. there is a saying...it's okay to lose a battle to win wars..

Please watch the latest video on "Cognizant:big challenge ahead" Unfortunately some profiles are soft targets in a downturn. one of them is Manager. however for next 2-3 years it is unlikely a scenario. companies will not fire people. CTS specially is struggling to retain employees. You can take a calculated risk and join CTS. however please go for some certifications also at the same time. why it is important, I recommend one discussion, please watch "2025:whats big deal?"
its a very good deal. go for it. you shouldn't worry at this experience about these talks. But you might experience some negativity after some time. Hopefully management is trying to address these things. these things should subside in next 1 year.

Oh my god...I did IT for their Facebook project in Arizona. And...I can tell you stories. They are the single and most AWFUL company to work for. Their senior management are idiots and treat everyone underneath them like garbage. And god forbid should you get a review and you don't get 100% on it, then they consider it an automatic fail.

For Freshers no need to worry but those with 10-12+ experience need to think long term prospects.
freshers also have to worry because we can put into any domain which may not be ur interest. Thereby wasting a lot of time. almost 9hrs a day which could be used to gain some good experience in which ever domain u like AI,ML,DataScience,etc.

My total experience is 8.2 years.
I have 2 offers: one from CTS for role Manager-Projects with total CTC 27 (fixed 25.5) and another one from TCS with role Assistant Consultant with total CTC 24 (fixed 19.5).
My skillset is SAPUI5, SAP FIORI, SAP BTP.
What would be the appropriate one to choose among these two?
at your experience, i would like to avoid going for managerial role. Managerial roles are considered easily replaceable. Specially in CTS, if you saw my video I posted yesterday on my new channel "InvestU", It appears attrition is really gone out of control at CTS.
What that indicates is, there is negative chit chatter among employees in the company. That affects your mental health.
It's a good package, no tension at all. All worries will be gone. So you should take higher CTC by Cognizant. Let me know if there are good openings for Pharmaceutical professionals as well. 😊
8.2 experience manager role.. Pretty strange... As per my knowledge 9 years is minimum experience they hire for managers
I had bad experience with wipro and CTS both during interviews. I blocked them in all job search platforms. Their HRs are rude, unprofessional and having no interest in Technology or Business. Even their interviewers seemed to be searching jobs outside.

Would recommend freshers to not go for Cognizant. Worst company. They have been delaying the onboarding for months, dragged the pre-joining internship for months with 25774 useless tests and interviews (this is after you get an offer letter). HR, Coach, no one cares about you, neither will they reply to your concerns and queries. This company gave me nothing but anxiety and depression. Also, this is my condition before even joining the job.
Even if you get another company of low package, please, please, go for it over Cognizant. Don't start your career in this company. They don't treat you like employees, or even humans.

For full stack java developer , i think both are fine. But for work life balance, Societe Generale will score higher as its European and french background means lot of employee friendly policies and easy work conditions.

its not apple to apple comparision. Ericsson is not IT services company but a telecom or network company. the difference would be, in IT companies you work on projects but in Ericsson you will be working in teams which work on tools may be OSS/BSS. so you won't have to change projects , or nothing like bench.
They mostly fired Director and above band . 90 percent were those folks which is #GOOD decision who got promoted just because they were from IIM or Tamilian. Wipro Infosys fires middle band People who are below director band in mass
what happened here could be extreme case of mishandling and brutal. Management needed to be more sensitive ...

you can choose either ....both are almost similar in all aspects....in this case, i would stress upon skills. if you are upskilling regularly, things will be fine.

for Job safety and brand value, Deloitte scores higher. you are a data warehouse resource but skills are PL/SQL, not enough for future. Dataware house is much broader term. please upskill in data engineering .

Alert: Long answer (Means I take all of you seriously)
Softcrylic in its 20 years existence couldn't scale beyond 200-300 people. Ideally it shoulud have been much bigger name now... so i have no views on that....Just in principal thought.
Capagemini is french name and are generally considered very easy people ..But you will have Indianized version of it. So think of it like any other company. but you have no idea which industry, customers you will be working on....
CAPCO is in financial services and also in energy...SO you know most likely you will get one of them.... BFSI is very hot area... major revenue for IT come from BFSI...so in terms of longer career , it looks good
Engery is under pressure right now, as traditional energy sources are less likely to be in use few years later with clean engery coming up... However still clean energy also need people...This space is evolving, can't comment ..Little uncertainity On acqusition front: We don't know how this integration will shape up... we might have Wipro management handling CAPCO or we have CAPCO working independently...
No matter who controls CAPCO, you will be working in BFSI or Energy.... or you can change them... Only problem is, Wipro increments are poor....
and if CAPCO manged by wipro completely , you will have poor increments too.....
you will have to decide what you think is the right mix for you.... things are not black and white...you can not choose either black or white....its a tradoff

this negativity in cognizant is past event. They are still facing the consequences and current demand cycle is so high that whoever didn't find takers, all are getting opportunities now. So that reflects in this huge outgoing rush in the company.
as a beginner nothing you need to worry, anyway you are going for higher studies, so whatever you do in next 1-2 years is not going to impact that.

Arjit, i am hoping your hometown is kolkata. too many choices sometimes confuse us. had you not joined CTS, i would have recommended Accenture. But now you are there , so i don't see a big incentive to change so quickly.
Rather focus on making full use of this period and learn skills. Things will fall in line and you will be able to maximize it. Skill is most imporant and avoid few mistakes which i will talk in future. if you are a subscriber , you will know when i post that video. also stay engaged. very important for personality development. you will do wonders .
Stay max 2-3 years in CTS.

@@BingeLearn sure, the first thing is that they're so unprofessional specifically the it team i got all the way to Gurgaon to collect my systems no reimbursements available for that expense, got 3 monitors for my work but 2 of them not even working as they forgot the software installation, i raised the ticket reached to my managers but no response not even a single helping hand from tech support they're asking me to get all the bulky desktop and take it along with me to the office incase i wanna continue the job, they were still complaining about my output the frustration took over and i finally resigned.. As an employ it's not my job to assemble the computers or arranging wires and softwares, pathetic company

Analyst is little misleading. it depends on company . Some analyst code, some do business analysis..its quite vast.

I quoted my expected CTC and they didn't try to negotiate it. So far, I have filled up one simple form which they sent me before technical round (the CIS form asked for name, email, pan, experience, that's it. Didn't ask for any documents). It has been a few days and I received no communication from them. They aren't picking up calls or replying. What are the chances of getting the offer? Is cognizant known for verbally confirming and then not sending offer letter?

@@sayansahoo4746 there is high demand reactjs at the moment. I am hoping they should come back to you. HR wait from project teams, before issuing offer letter. And HR normally has no control over this process. They are like postman who can deliver letter only if there is one for you. Don't chase them..

in terms of brand appeal, attrition and company policies, Both look same. So you can choose anyone. to keep job safe, the best way is to command your skill and evolve with it quickly. As long you do it, you continue to grow.

@@BingeLearn training is on teamcenter development and don't find any career opportunities as a Spring , Springboot development as I am 3yrs experienced it in Java so I am looking as a career in spring rest api

@@gauravgadre385 ohh... teamcenter is a PLM system by siemens and widely used in manufacturing or industrials setups. having Java background, they would have put you in that. I am sure you have assessed Teamcenter and if you are not convinced and do not have interest, probably nothing wrong in moving on. You can also speak to HR, if you don't relate to the project well.
I am getting 12.2 CTC including 50k variable in Cognizant + 75k joining bonus.
For TCS I am getting 11CTC plus 50k joining bonus. But there are so many deductions in TCS component breakup and hence in hand salary will be less.
Please advise.

I have requested TCS to atleast increase the CTC to 11.5 but it seems highly unlikely and also in hand will be less owing to high no.of components. Please help to let me know which one should be preferred as per your opinion.
CTS policies and benefits are good, 36 leaves along with insurance covered though coverage is roughly about 4lakhs. Also CTS pays gratuity on ur behalf. It also provides fuel reimbursement and additionally 1800WFH allowance per month outside CTC.
@@saswatdas6137 here is my take: I am assuming you have exp 3-5 years. with AI skillset, you need bigger brand.... both together will do magic for you in longer run.. it is not just AI skills but how you use them is important.. my thinking is, you will get more learning, there in TCS as their client base is solid I.e. big MNCs .
So ignore short term small losses. You have much more to achieve.. there is a saying...it's okay to lose a battle to win wars..

hi sir, I have more than 10 years of experience . I have offer from CTS(around 17 lpa) with manager profile with 2 lpa early joining. I have offer from hcl but package is less than cts. Which company should i chose for future point of view.

Unfortunately some profiles are soft targets in a downturn. one of them is Manager. however for next 2-3 years it is unlikely a scenario. companies will not fire people. CTS specially is struggling to retain employees.
You can take a calculated risk and join CTS. however please go for some certifications also at the same time. why it is important, I recommend one discussion, please watch

its a very good deal. go for it. you shouldn't worry at this experience about these talks. But you might experience some negativity after some time. Hopefully management is trying to address these things. these things should subside in next 1 year.

@@TheFilmiGuy don't go Kolkata. Stay in metro cities like Delhi, Bangalore, pune , Hyderabad... coz in tier 2 cities you won't find good projects, mobility...
