I’m BLESSED just got a red with black lower 2024. I’m trying to be humble through my experience. Love reading reviews on the truck. Y’all have a good one!
I really enjoyed your review. You went into depth covering small things that other people have not. I am planning to order the 2023 2500 Rebel with the Cummins Diesel. But still a fantastic review ! Thanks . Mike Portland Oregon.
Thanks for watching! If I go with the 2500 Rebel, I'm doing the Cummins Diesel and side steps! You're going to love the new digital gauge with all the customizing option. What color are you thinking of going with?
@@Revmatchmedia Yes Sir I like the the Billet silver/Black and the Mono Tone Billet Silver . Color is the only thing holding me up. I originally liked the 2 tone so I am leaning that way. I just hope that I can get all the options that I want . Bed utility group, towing technology group, level 2 equipment group, adaptive steering system , leather buckets, Automatic level rear suspension and Power running boards. I would like the 18 in wheels but not sure when that option would be available ? Many dealers in my area do the dealer mark ups. I will not do that. Sticker price is high enough. when I make my order I will let the post know. And I will post pics when I receive the truck. Thanks again !
I just recently purchased a 2023 2500 Rebel. I traded in my 2018 F 250 with the 6.2. The Ford was a great, reliable work truck. I never had an issue, it hauled hay, livestock, farm equipment, and anything else I needed. I traded it because the Ram is a absolute beast compared to the F 250. The 6.4 Hemi with the ZF8 transmission can tow an amazing 3000lbs more than the Ford and there is absolutely no comparison to the Ram interior. This is a lot of money for a truck, but this is a whole lot of truck.
I’ve been driving a ram 1500 hemi since 2014. It’s been a great truck and has never failed me. I really wanted to replace it with a ram 2500 but went with a F-250 tremor instead. I do love the look of rebel and capability though. Just wish they weren’t priced so absurdly. My biggest issue with this truck is the cylinder deactivation. I just don’t care for that in HD trucks. Nice truck otherwise.
Thanks for watching! Whenever I get a new press truck, I always play over/under $80k with my wife and lets just say its usually over lol. I did get to review the F-350 tremor and i gotta say that i kinda liked the Ford over the Ram. Honestly though, you really can't go wrong with either though.
Hoping to get a 23/24 Rebel or Powerwagon with the 6.4 in all black, this review was a big help in showing me the Rebel I really did enjoy it. I think I may head towards the Rebel because of better specs for towing and hauling and they are both still great off-road. Also side note, I’ve always wanted to get into reviewing cars and stuff it would be a dream job besides racing them for me. Does it pay well and do you work for a company or yourself, etc? I’m only 21 as well so I have a lot ahead of me.
Hey, thanks for watching. You definitely nailed it with picking the rebel over the power wagon for the towing capacity. I do love all the extra things the power wagon comes with, but the fact that you can get diesel in the rebel, and still tow more is why you’d want the rebel over the wagon. Regarding reviewing cars, it’s a lot of fun, but it is also a lot of work. I do work for myself and I haven’t quit my day job but that is definitely the goal. It’s a lot harder when you are doing it on your own because the brands don’t see as much ROI as they would with a major publication. It is better for them with smaller publications because you get answers like mine to virtually every comment and build a better relationship than just some big company posting and not replying, to build brand loyalty. I would definitely recommend checking with your local automotive journalist group and see how you can join them. That’s how I’ve been able to meet all the right people.

The 2023 Ram Rebel with the 6.4 Hemi is factory ready for a winch. Since the set up is already there, and my dealer did not have one in stock with a factory winch, I bought my own Warn winch and had a local 4X4 shop install it for me. The cost was about half of the Ram charges for it from the factory and it’s exactly the same.
Congrats on your Ram. Wow, half price is a big difference and agree going with "aftermarket" is usually better for things like that. Reminds me of the Bronco Everglades that has all these extra things at a significantly higher price.
If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? I've stood next to a Power Wagon before and it was huge to me (I'm 5'9") lol. I know the Power Wagon is lifted from the factory, but I'm not sure if the 2500 rebel is (the 1500 rebel is lifted from the factory).
I am 5’7”. According to the Ram’s spec website, the power wagon and rebel sit at the same height. What I did notice on the site was how much more the Rebel can tow over the Power Wagon.
Thank you for the review. I'm looking at getting one with the gas engine. So many people only reviewed the Cummins version. It was nice to hear the Hemi. Ram said the 18" wheels were going to be available early 2023, but Im not sure that will actually happen soon. I was trying to hold out, but I really want to get things ordered since the build time will take a while. I'm going to get the winch and power step. At 6'4" I probably don't need it, but my wife will appreciate it. I thought about the auto leveling, but I'm not going to tow heavy loads often and I don't think it will help too much with the empty load ride. Is the ride any worse than a 2500 tradesman?
Thanks for watching. I got to review a 2500 lone star before and the rebel did have better suspension feel. The lone star was extremely stiff which of course is expected when you’re towing capacity is that high. If you’re not going to be towing a large rig, I would opt out on the rear air suspension and give your wife some side steps because this thing is tall!
When you report payload, are you looking at the door sticker or just the specs? I find the two are quite different. They should make RAMboxes the standard bed config. Also, should include all the safety features, adaptive cruise control and front camera standard as well - can't see over the hood!

I don't quite understand why they make the 2500 Rebel Cummins... the spec with the highest tow/payload capacity is a Hemi... Power Wagon all day every day bro!
I think the Cummins diesel option appeals more towards those that don’t tow a lot and does not haul a bunch. The overlanders will love the diesel option because of the range and all that torque.
Yep. I wouldn’t buy a diesel anyways but def would never buy it in this truck. You buy a 2500 for payload/hauling/ and some off road capability. I can’t justify a 2500 without all 3 items. The PW doesn’t sell itself as anything other than an off roader because it’s purpose built.
