this cant be real, a dotm megatron with full articulation, both modes being screen accurate without having to compromise either or both mode, and isnt green???????? unique toys had a really good megatron but this is insanely good
Well the robot mode is a bit compromised, especially the legs
@@fernandoflores3161 yeah but its not like the SS megatron where the whole cab just hangs off the back, the only noticable kibble is the tank but its not an eyesore
It’s actually no that bad. It’s complicated because a lot of panel foldings, but you just need to do it according to the correct orders looks like no tricky angles or space issues.
Kinda wish the middle panels that make up the waist section are reinforced by die cast instead of just a single plastic panel, that one looks very prone to breaking if not supported by hands
"Wow" this is the only word I could think of right now on how amazing this looks.
Alien attack has the most complicated transformations, and inaccurate backtruck and also not satisfying torso. As for UT, easier trasnformation but still complicated, but too green or even with khaki colour, its too expensive at 400 bucks. Its official, Newage has the most logical transformations, good flow, accurate truck mode and robot mode, nice weathering and paint, its the best dotm megatron ever
Unlike the others, this one succeeds in both modes...
Yes, no light up eyes or that cool sparking effect like on the alien attack version, HOWEVER it's made out of fantastic materials that won't break apart in your hands like some of devil savior's offerings.
Not to mention, you can tell that someone POURED passion into this project and it really shows. As an artist, I respect the hell out of being passionate about something.

Hands down the NA version is far superior to the UT version in both modes.
Imo UT robot mode looks way better compared to the CGI model. I think he was big enough. Especially in the chest and shoulders. Proportionally, he's better than New Age, I think. NA Looks good, but the chest is small compared to the shoulders and arms, and a little nitpick is that its hard to tell he's chicken legged.I still might wanna get it, tho cause I love DOTM Megs
Robot mode shape ut wins, especially for the legs, na looks betyer because of the headsculpt and the paint, but na has better articulation anyway
Definitely the best DotM Megs to grace our wallets! And at it's price of over $200 USD, it's not for everyone sadly, but it is a beast!
This is like the first transformer that actually feels like it transform.. Like its not a secretly hidden leg that maybe flips, shifts, and rotates a few panels to form a leg.
Its a leg that mast shifts from this perfectly looking cab. There is no coherent whole leg. The Leg is the what was previously a bunch of panels and sections.

Well, this NA megs has more complex transformation than UT but not in a frustating degrees transformation like U know 🤣, but NA also has more complete and solid form both in robot mode and alt mode than UT, it doesnt mean UT megs is bad, UT has more simple, fluid, enjoyable and easier transformation than NA, but really strugle to complete the alt mode. Thats made UT and NA megs both good figure, and left Alien attack being the worst 🤣.

It is a definite improvement over UT. The only criticism I'll make is that it doesn't follow the same transformation engineering as the onscreen model. Only the original voyager toy and AAT versions acomplished that
If aat including their knight op can open the car cap so that there is more space for transformation, their mgt and op will be nearly perfect

Why is the truck so small, that’s my only complaint the truck modes are the same size and when comparing BA Optimus to it megatron the truck mode is severely undersized, ut megatron only scaled with Offical masterpiece Optimus prime in truck mode that’s why I hated Unique toys version cause he was totally out of place cause he didn’t scale with offical Mpm Optimus’ robot mode mode but scaled perfectly with his truck mode, and it looks to be the same with newages megatron. Was on Billibilli and saw some comparisons of the test shots of MM02 and he’s the exact same height and truck mode size as black apple so my guess is mm02 and XM-02 will not scale whatsoever in vehicle modes

I don’t like that the spare wheel ends up being stored in the right calf and also the left calf looks like an empty I want that spare wheel to be a part’s forming piece or add another spare wheel in the left calf it was not like that In the cgi model 😓
Honestly im turned off by the transformation. A little too much spaghetti engineering for my taste. Yeah the tanker was hideous on Unique Toys, but it is helped by the tarp. Desperado's transformation is more elegant in comparison. I was looking forward to this offering, but i think ill ultimately pass. Thanks, regardless, Newage.

@@lxyjakermaker8096 "ur simple mind". Nice sentence, professor. I commend Newage for trying but made compromises that aren't in line with what I value. UT's compromises are. Neither are perfect. I and many others would prefer an enjoyable transformation rather than a figure that will never get touched after the first day of unboxing. It's engineering cost that's just for show.
I can't wait!! I preorder mine way back like last year and at that time i still concerned a bit with the prototype picture but now seeing full review of finished product, I'm excited and glad I'm holding to this one and not buying UT.
