I wasn't sure what to expect from Karate Blazers, but it turned out to be one of the most fun beat 'em ups I've played in a while. The sheer number of enemies the game throws at you can seem rather daunting, but once you start chaining combos together and cannoning bad guys into one another it becomes great fun.
Factor in some decent graphics and audio effects, and this is definitely a coin-op worthy of your attention.

Your beating the shit out of them reminded me of my one playing the other day. I luckily was able to beat the whole game with one quarter, but I see there is no luck but rather if at least two people can do it.

Stage 3 is a reference to Black Rain, with some of the enemies and even the main boss modeled after Sato, the film's main villain, but they got the setting wrong. While the movie also had a scene set in a steel mill, the climax's setting was actually at a remote farm.

This game was a damn shame. The vision pf rhe world was great and animation for the player characters are nice. Unfortunately the enemy design and animation are a fuckin disgrace. It actually ruined the game. Its like the games developers had good direction and let some half assed designer finish it up.
