    I admit I had Coco to win on Stake but I also think it was smart of Naomi to retire, professional athletes that listen to their bodies to avoid major injuries is incredibly smart, she could have been sidelines for months had she not retired. Good sportsmanship from Coco to help with the bag and I wish naomi the best recovery.

    • @Harcorwrestler
      @Harcorwrestler หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The one weakness she has is agility and moving around. Once players start drop shotting her more, she’ll concede and won’t get to those points. It’ll force her to move more but that’s not her game and she will be easily rattled. Until I see a game where she can overcome that, I see her falling short of a championship or grand slams.

    One area of Coco’s game I’m hoping she’d improve on is being able to direct her shots more to the sides (passing shots) as she often drops most of her shots in the middle of the court which is why I believe she’s often on the defense as she hands her opponents shots that make it easier for them to direct their shots freely.
    I know it’s not easy and requires bravery, but it’s something her team might want to work on.

I really wanted a third set. coco still has work to do with her serve. But the double faults have lowered a lot still could be better but it’s progression. But also i don’t think a lot of people have realized how much her forehand has improved. It’s flattening out, it’s more stronger and it’s going in deep hitting the baseline. I already see the improvement since she started her new partnership with Matt Daley. I hope to see her in the finals here. 👏🏿🏆

    Wim Fisette was right. Naomi really looks like she's on the cusp of making a huge breakthrough. She had Coco on the ropes and would have won this match had it not been for the back problem. Naomi, I pray for your speedy recovery.

    Ít was amazing match. It was so competitive that we no way to see who will win. Naomi was playing so well before the injury. So sad for Naomi. But Naomi is doing right now in the come back. With her talents she will win a slam again. Very nice of Gauff, a good girl and great competitor.

    REALLY important to see women of color supporting one another like this.
    A lot of non-Black people really don't understand why moments like this are critically important, but they are.
