    I'm going to see Elton in 2022 and I can't wait! Most certainly a once in a lifetime experience! So many great artists have retired or passed on in these last couple years. I'm really proud of Elton! He's still standing!
    Edit: I saw him a few months ago! He was fantastic. Completely in awe.

      Dodger covid has ruined all live music if you think that you're seeing elton in 2022 I wish you luck cause this is as close to live were ever going to be able to experience. I'm not going to accept that you have a good understanding of how music works. Live makes artists the money for recording new songs and videos. Nowadays people don't know what a live show is about. I've experienced many amazing live acts. Or concerts as they were once called. I hope you get to see the great rocket man . I did and I promise you it will always be entertaining for all. Look forward to seeing you in the chat rooms of TH-cam so that you can get a surprise when someone puts you on to something that is new but old lyrical slave JUNKIE Dusty. 🎵🎶🎷🇿🇦

    I saw him twice twenty and 30 years ago. His singing was better back then but for a guy in his 70's, he does well. If I never saw him, I would recommend seeing him live. Great to see how he is doing now. He has had a great career. Good to see Nigel and Davey still with him. I was lucky enough to see Dee Murray at one of his shows. Thanks for the good songs Elton and Bernie.

    saw his show in Columbia, South Carolina, march 13th of 2019.... was literally insane and the best night of my life. my mom bought me tickets and surprised me after I went out to play some Elton songs at a local open mic night. it was my high school graduation present. the two of us were seated in the nosebleeds up on the right side of the auditorium, but from the way I screamed my head off all night I wouldn't be surprised if he could've heard me from all the way down on the stage. I was on a high from it for probably weeks. absolutely insane. he's coming back to Columbia in 2019. I wanna go see him again. I think I just might use my student loan refund check to fund my obsession. its worth it, I think. definitely.

    If you look up the definition of what a rock star guitar player should look like, you'll see a picture of Davey Johnstone. He's been with Elton all those years and he adds so much to the depth of these songs with his tasty guitar licks and beautiful harmonizing background vocals. Yet, his guitar adds so much yet also so little. His riffs are not dominant. They are just well placed. They are never overwhelming and they never step on top of the real stars of the show, Elton and his piano. Yet, without Davey's guitar on many of these songs, they just would be missing something. Not talking about the few songs where his guitar takes front and center like Saturday Night or The Bitch is Back...talking about songs where the guitar is a backdrop to the main event, yet so tastefully executed. Songs like Candle in the Wind. That is a piano song with masterful vocals from Elton, but listen to the guitar work on that tune Always in the background, yet so important to the feel of that song. Less is more. Any guitar player could learn a lot from the style of Davey Johnstone. He's so overlooked but so very important to these classic songs.

    • @A1Adaydreaming
      @A1Adaydreaming 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course I make this comment then watch this video and he does Candle totally without the band. Oh well. Check it out here and you'll see what I mean. The background vocals and guitar work here are masterful. th-cam.com/video/Xw_c3F2FXrI/w-d-xo.html.

I just wanted to pay tribute and see Elton. Their sound system is not very good, but I was totally amazed at the sound. Elton must have his own sound system. It was beyond perfect! Don't neglect to appreciate his immensely talented piano play. While you're focusing on the face, the visuals, the clothes, and of course the amazingly great notes and rhythms of his superlative song compositions - he's also playing every note. Now here's the mindnumbingly astonishing part: not only are the sung notes often different than the played ones (which is very, very difficult to do; myself and even many great pianists are generally incapable of that) -- but sometimes the *BEAT* is different between the hands and voice! That is just mindblowing. He's a great pianist and most don't even know.

This virus is a fucking painful disease that attacks the immune system of the weak. This may ruffle some feathers!Covid is social cleansing Society of the parasites that take too much of life for granted and that is the pure truth if you don't like the idea of having a over populated world then just accept the fate of your journey and hang in there cause you may just have a great time learning how being socially inept has helped the community to develop some more social skills other than fucking fake book and tictoc instagram and all the other things that you let yourself get sucked into believing. Let's talk to someone in person. Put your fucking mask on lather up the sanitiser and make some real difference to your life I love talking to people who are perfectly floored and happy to admit that remember that the best defence is infectious and the way you repel the covid cooties is be smart get the fucking jab of vaccine and shut up about dangers of vaccination. This is the 20th century version of polio the black death and do we want these social cleansing diseases back in our lives . He'll no . I don't believe that covid will get me personally and that is my opinion like it or not it's social Russian roullete and the trigger is us. Be strong and be part of the vaccination program . Saw him twice, once solo and once with Billy Joel. Definitely a great show. At the show with Billy Joel, one of the spotlight operators fell out of the lighting truss and bounced off of the drum riser before the show started (she recovered, luckily). My future wife looked at me and said "do you ever do that?" (I was working part time as a stage hand at the time). The next day, I found myself climbing up to do a spotlight for Peter Gabriel at the WOMAD festival. Those were good times!

      I saw Elton John in concert on April 22 or April 23, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada Red Piano Tour at Caesar's Palace Colosseum. I flew on plane with a friend who invited me to come along with him to Las Vegas. My friend's brother in law paid for the plane round trip, two night stay at Luxor hotel and the concert. I almost backed out due to always having a fear of flying, but I'm so glad I didn't. I'm the only one in my family who has seen Elton John perform live. It will always be a memory I'll never forget as long as I live. We stayed two and a half days in Las Vegas before flying back home.
