Dyan, you're a natural teacher. You had examples of your work, organized the lesson well, stacking the steps in a nice logical way. I liked that you kept it simple and straightforward, while providing good side tips on safety, choice of tools (with consideration to costs) and ease of handling. Words of encouragement good too. It can take years of teaching experience to attain this array of skills so props to you (and grandma for the shop space)! And, thanks for the lesson. Even though I've done a bit of word burning, I still learned something and will check out your other videos!

+profnkb that's great to hear! Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy the wood burning videos! There will be a new one out soon I'm planning on filming one today!I love making these videos. I've stepped away from it for a bit to work on my other channel: th-cam.com/users/dylantaylor I'm coming back to this one strong though. I've learned a lot in the past month about making videos better. I'll be transferring those to this channel and it's videos.
Thank you again! And have an amazing day!

I'm memorializing some fallen soldiers my husband had the honor of serving with and I'm putting the names on my wood trim for my flower bed and buying solar spotlights to keep the names illuminated like the American flag in our yard and I knew I wanted to do wood burning but had no idea where to start.

Great tutorial, Dylan! I purchased the simple wood burner and found it awkward to handle but the simple kit did include a stand for the burner to keep the burner from rolling around. It's just 16 gauge wire bent into horseshoe shape and then bent to make a flat stand on the bottom. Something I know you'd be capable of making with a heavy gauge wire and a pair of needle nose pliers. 😊

I just started watching your videos, today actually. I think you’re very helpful, you’re very patient and very nice and I think you’re doing everyone on here a great service! But you also need to take care of you and if you can’t be on here as much as you used to be or you would like to be or even how much other people want you to be on here then that’s the way it has to be.....you have to worry about your own life and that’s number one priority. So, speaking for myself please don’t be apologetic for trying to get your life started I think it’s great that you’re going to school LOL. So again thank you very much for the help I’ve been burning for quite a while now, I do more personal things such as a wedding picture frames things like that and I enjoy it tremendously it is very relaxing except for the part where my fingers start burning LOL. So I wish you all the best and I am looking forward to seeing more of your work thank you again and good luck

What more can I say! Everyone else seems to have covered just about all I would have wanted to say myself!
I am an artist of just about all mediums, from Painting, jewelry making, to sculpting and music. And just recently looking to add wood burning to that list. Mostly self-taught on some of them. But for the others, had a couple amazing teachers I've looked up to who've made learning a historically (learning the backgrounds and such) fun experience.
But when it comes to this avenue... classes via video, I'd say it's always good to have it available at our fingertips. As many people don't always have a way to either get out to find a good wood burning class on the fly, or especially (as I speak) when say, people all around the world may find they're faced with a lockdown because of a global pandemic (something all of us never thought we'd ever say).
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share and teach your craft with us. You are indeed a great teacher through and through.
Will definitely sub. *thumbs are up*

I got one yesterday and am excited to use. I work with all types of art forms but held off wood burning. I was kind of scared that I would want to get too into it cause I’ve researched the prices for higher quality wood burners last year and remember them being pretty expensive. Oh well, it if happens it happens. Thanks for the video!!

This video is BRILLIANT! I have only just started getting interested in the idea of wood burning but I thought it was far to difficult for some one like me with no artistic talent or co-ordination, but you have shown me that with time and patience even I can do it! :) Thank you so very much! I have now subscribed to you channel! :) Take it easy every now and then you have a very busy schedule and what you do is appreciated by your fans and watchers! :)

Great info sweethrart! Thanks for even explaining the more advanced machine... I saw it in another person's video but she didn't explain. I'm trying to use Woodburn for a way of getting quality time with my 10 yr old son who's a gamer. He's actually pretty excited! Nice to find such a great video from a younger person he can look up to. :)
