    If I may suggest a minor little tip here. Before you print your template, change the color to something lighter. Maybe change it to a blue color. that way when you are doing your tracing, you can see the lines you have already traced and you can easily tell when you are finished

    I love the videos they are really awesome. One tip I learned about doing carvings and pyrography from another TH-camr is pre soaking your wood so the grain will come up and you can sand it so after you're done carving or wood burning when you finish your project the grain will have already been raised and sanded so it doesn't raise on you during finishing.

      @@CorneliusCreations you got it. I have the Colwood burner and the place I bought it from I think is called the pyrography store and she sells the razor as well. She gives free cleaning kits when you buy a burner. Colwood says not to use any type of sand paper on your tips, is that different than the razor? I was told its cause many of the tips are polished and also sanding even with fine grit shaves off metal.

    • @OzArt
      @OzArt 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You don't want to pre-soak the wood you want sand the wood and then take a light sponge and dampen it wait an hour or so for the wood grain to rise and then lightly sand it

    Awesome video! One thing I would recommend doing though is to lower the opacity or choosing a light to medium gray color to print what you plan on transferring. Helps eliminate issues like you had with the “A” and allows you to be more accurate on your edge as you can see the line you’re putting down as you trace.

    I’m in. between the razortip and colwood, which one would you recommend, it will be mostly used for writing names on cutting boards?

    • @CorneliusCreations
      @CorneliusCreations  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      How often do you plan on using it? Do you want wide range versatility? Colwood will do good but Razertip is still king if you answered yes in those areas. The folks over at Klingspors woodworking shop is a great place to buy from. I have no regrets with my razertip.

      I'm sure you've already figured out which tips do what, but in case someone else stumbles by - the best thing to do is get a scrap piece of board and try each one out. A couple of books to check out are: "Learn to Burn - a step by step guide..." and "Creative Woodburning: Projects, Patterns and Instructions..." both can be found on Amazon. 👍

    Your Site is fantastic. Quick question when you say thick burnt edges. Or the outlines supposed to be deeply Etched into the wood? I am a beginner and I’m wondering if I am making the lines too deep or pressing too hard? Thank you again

    • @CorneliusCreations
