Good morning Hawkin! That Kingfisher is great! I watch Jordan as well. My in-laws had a glossy ibis in their neighborhood and sent me a picture, I was so excited-it was a rare visitor. (Fountain Valley, CA)They are about 5 miles from the beach.
I feel the same way as you about birding. Relaxed and just being in nature, like your videos, it makes a sighting all the more spectacular!
I’ve skied at Alta and Snowbird in the ‘80’s. Can’t wait to see what you have in store!
    Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I'm surprised you saw 244 species because that's more birds than I've seen.

Greetings from Melbourne in Australia. Congratulations on an amazing 2024! You've done a terrific job locating so many birds and getting so many Utah birds. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching every episode and always look forward to receiving an alert that you've posted a new one. All the best for 2025!

    Nice video again.
I miss something in your plans for 2025: to buy a telescope!
It is not only very useful, it will turn you into a sandpiper-addict...!

Thanks for a fun year. I am a new birder this year as well, and it has been great. I'm in the process of buying some decent (for my budget) camera equipment to get better looks at our feathered friends. Your video has me thinking I might just let the lifers come to me as I just photograph the birds I see and then figure out what they are if I don't already know.

I have taken so many photos of birds I didn’t know to look back at later. certainly makes the identification easier. I hope you are enjoying your start in birding!
