I don't even do pictures or anything but I always watch these right to the end. You have got to be one of the kindest, and most genuine people I have seen on youtube and I just like to hang out and go on adventures with you, thank you for making the videos!
Dear Morten, very nice to see You once again with your tremendous expedition and I also enjoy it with a cup of coffee, stay well and share with us your more experiences. 💐💐💐💐💐💐
And the coffee keeps you going! Wonderful video Morten, and boy did you pull those 'fallow buck' shots in the dark off!.. You are a total legend, see you out there!
You make n̈ature so interesting and i like your calm but humorous commentry, a lot better than the nature programmes we see on the tv with the presenters ego taking over the subject, i used to like going on country walks when i was younger to the yorkshire dales, the lake district and local countryside and down south, but my father used to spoil it by rushing us through it all. This is the sort of documentary i love.😊
Sad to hear about Bertram. I do really hope he will come back 💛. Thanks again for such videos, their simplicity is the key, and you are a source of inspiration to me.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos Morten Hilmer. I enjoy the humor and the narration of the videos, very entertaining and inspiring at the same time. Cheers from Oregon.
Very happy when I saw you had downloaded a new video. Always look forward to it. Once again excellent. Have a great Christmas and happy New year. Look forward to seeing more next year.
You had been very helpful with this crow Morten 🙏🏻 He had surely lived a great time with your dog Bjorn and with you. Be blessed and Merry Christmas ✨️
So sorry for the loss of your crow friend. I hope he has flown far away and made a family. Maybe he will return some day. Also, I like that you are including some landscape photography along with the wildlife.
I’ve only been following your videos for a short time, but I can truly feel your passion for photography. Photography is also one of my main ways to relieve stress. I look forward to the content you share. Have a great day!
I’ve been waiting for your new video, and as always, it’s absolutely amazing! Your work inspires me so much-I hope to be as talented as you one day. Thank you for sharing these incredible moments with us!
as always, thank you for the video. i just love all your content and am always inspired by your patience and diligence in capturing such amazing moments. happy holidays.
I almost stopped breathing when you spotted the deer, in case I made a noise 😄 We also saved various birds, and most of them never returned after they flew off. All accept the Laughing Dove which we named Floki. He would always come for his special seeds in the morning and evening. Then one day, he just never returned. I know the feeling of calling and calling, and worrying. Let's hope little Bertram is ok. Thanks for this amazing peaceful video!
Morten, I always enjoy any adventure you take us on. I was lucky to wake up to a frosty morning today. The camera is still thawing in the bag on the counter, so I don't know how I did. I love being outside in the winter! I hope Bertram found a friend-maybe you will see him in the Spring? Have a very Merry Christmas! 🎄
Why does anywhere in the world OTHER than the UK look so appealing in winter?! We have it the worst I am sure! No frost, no snow, just cold damp and wet the ENTIRE time! 😂 Oh and let's not forget the wind!
@Happyviews82 I've not always lived in Norfolk but it's been at least 6 years now and I've seen a ligut dusting since we've lived here and it lasted a day! 😁
Hej Morten. Tak for skønne film. 🥰🎄
I always look forward to your new videos. So thank you Morten for that wonderful Christmas present . it’s always a moment of happiness and peace in this not always benevolent world. Sweet Christmas Morten for you and your family
Hey there morten just wanted this chance of bein early in the comment section to tell you that you have been one of my biggest inspirations. Your each tour , your ethics your photography has shaped a certain part of my personality i'd say. I have been watching your videos since 5 years now regularly and damn i love them so much. Just keep them coming with your full efforts and I SO LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU ONE DAY AND HAVE A CHAT WITH YOU.!! Love and respect from India to you and your beautiful country and to this beautiful world of northern europe. Madhav Sharma
Nice to come home and stick the computer and to find your new Video. After tonight it will start to get lighter. Love the stag photo. Take care and happy winter solstice
Good to see you Morten 🙂 merry Christmas to you and Björn looking forward to new year and new episodes hopefully an expedition! Ps. Bless little crow mate hopefully you enjoyed great friendship..
Thank you Morten. Have a nice Yule and Christmas. I especially liked the heather in frost. As winter holidays have just started, I'm uploading pictures for years reviews and photobooks. And I hope to have enough daylight time to scout for new locations within the next days. In early spring I'd like to try out an infrared camera to spot different kinds of owls in my homerange and catch some soundscapes. Btw yesterdays local newspapers reported a fox was found at the Christmas market. Belly full, sleeping deeply and not amused he was caught and driven back to the woods. Maybe he tasted mulled wine too ;-)?
The struggle for making a good landscape photo is real for me, I see that landscape through my own eyes but just can't capture it on photo with satisfying results. Gie me wildlife any given day instead 🙂
Hej Morten, Jeg ønsker dig en dejlig juletid og et vidunderligt nytår. Jeg ser virkelig frem til nye gode videoer fra dig. De bedste hilsner fra Rostock Wolfgang
You made me laugh when you said you were going to do landscape photography and then instantly went looking for animals. Who would have thought 😜I was hoping you would bring out the macro lens, because that was such macro weather! I'm sorry to hear about Bertram. Let's just hope they are living their best life somewhere. Merry Christmas to you and your family! I hope you have a cosy time ☺
Hej Morten. Fantastisk kalender, utroligt spændende at få et indblik i det udstyr du bruger, til at tage de enkelte billeder med. God jul og godt nytår. Ps Elsker simpelthen alle dine videoer. Mvh Michael
I was thinking the same thing when you went searching down that trail but left your camera behind.😂 Merry Christmas and all the best Morten! Now that the postal strike is over here, hopefully they’ll deliver the calendar before new years, but I’m not holding my breath.
There’s no better way to start a Saturday than a cup of coffee and a Morten Hilmer video! This one reminds me of frosty mornings hunting quail in Virginia over a little cocker spaniel. A question: what is the badge on your watch cap?
Nice video again👏 For landscape I would prefer the Z7 or Z7ii since they have greater dynamic range and have mechanical shutter and there is something about the Z8/Z9 files that sometimes look digital. Must be something with the stacked sensor technology that is different. Speed of this type of sensor and shooting in electric shutter mode in general has drawbacks.
The Bird Protection organisation in Belgium is every year selecting a "bird of the year" election and they "only" had crow-like birds on their list (crow, magpie, jackdaw, rook and raven) to create awareness to these beautiful and intelligent creatures. Unfortunately do they estimate that every year a whopping 200.000 crowlike birds are killed/shot. Unreal numbers.
Hi dear Morten , Why don't you use the drone from high distances to find out exactly where the animals are and determine their location, thus saving time.. Thank you for the entertaining video and your beautiful experience.
Sorry about "My friend the Crow." Crows have a very long lifespan from 7 to 21 years! The fact that a crow befriend you exemplifies your "good nature soul."
I don't even do pictures or anything but I always watch these right to the end. You have got to be one of the kindest, and most genuine people I have seen on youtube and I just like to hang out and go on adventures with you, thank you for making the videos!
I love these videos, it's relaxing, I look forward to more !
Dear Morten, very nice to see You once again with your tremendous expedition and I also enjoy it with a cup of coffee, stay well and share with us your more experiences. 💐💐💐💐💐💐
So happy when there is new content from Morten. Going camping so saving for later.
After a really bad day, coming home and seeing that you uploaded a new video... Thank you, sincerely!
What a morning, when you wake up to a new video from our friend Morten! ☕🤌
As I always said, you live in Heaven Mr. Hilmer.
Keep in your heart the belief your crow friend is off on its life adventure.
Best wishes,
Steve

The beauty of a beautiful photo often lies in the unexpected....love that frozen landscape 🙂

Hello Matt, One more super video/ Thank you for all your videos. Have a super festion season and an amazing 2025
Why does anywhere in the world OTHER than the UK look so appealing in winter?! We have it the worst I am sure! No frost, no snow, just cold damp and wet the ENTIRE time! 😂
Oh and let's not forget the wind!
It’s the same way here in South Carolina😂 it’s cold enough to completely suck but it doesn’t get cold enough to snow 🥲
@Happyviews82 That's crazy! I would have imagined you would have had much better weather than us being so much further South!
@ it’s pretty bipolar but it’s not bad 😂 it’s only snowed here maybe 3 times my whole life
@Happyviews82 I've not always lived in Norfolk but it's been at least 6 years now and I've seen a ligut dusting since we've lived here and it lasted a day! 😁
I have photographer friends from the mid-west US who come to Scotland in the winter for the rain, wind, mist etc 😊

Very good to see a new video but sad to hear about your pal the crow. You live in an amazing place, with great views!
I received my calendar last week all the way in Michigan, USA. Thank you for getting that out so quickly. It’s got beautiful photos in it.
Wonderful story telling. I too hope your crow found a mate. A small man with a big gun is a small man indeed.
14:29 probably a woodcock. Great video as always!
Grande, ya estabamos esperando su nuevo video!!! Un abrazo desde Tenerife crack!!! Feliz Navidad para todos, amor e ilusión!
I always look forward to your new videos. So thank you Morten for that wonderful Christmas present . it’s always a moment of happiness and peace in this not always benevolent world. Sweet Christmas Morten for you and your family
Wherever Bertram is, his life was certainly better and longer because of you.

Great video Morten - I think the bird at 14:30 was a Woodcock!! 😊
thanks morten....
Even though you are out to do landscapes...I chuckled to see you just could not resist bring one long lens, just in case!
Nice Video Morten..👍👍👍
Super video!🙂
wundervoll❤

У вас фонарь Феникс. Это очень хороший продукт.
Wishing you and your family a very happy & joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year 2025!❤❤❤
So funny to me, Landscape photography is SO hard to me as well.

very nice ;)
14:29 That also happened to me. I was really shocked when that happened.
Also a Woodcock?
@GingerPhotographer I dont know the birds name. Maybe
👍🏻👍🏻👀

Unfortunately do they estimate that every year a whopping 200.000 crowlike birds are killed/shot. Unreal numbers.
I was wondering if you've ever teamed up with Mads Peter Iverson to do a landscape/wildlife series.
Hi dear Morten , Why don't you use the drone from high distances to find out exactly where the animals are and determine their location, thus saving time.. Thank you for the entertaining video and your beautiful experience.
I hope the crown
was just scared of shooting and flew away, can't find a path to home. And will live long ans happy life with mates
Really sad to hear about the crow, the crow are really close to heart for me.
Beautiful countryside.
Is that the 180-600mm? What kind of strap system are you using? I need one for mine. Thanks
Do you use some kind of microphone with your action camera?
Why did you went from lumix gh5 to nikon for vloging?
@Martynas_R It seems to be an action 3 ;)
@@JoeMaranophotography Nice, but in some of those shot was with focus and with better quality so I thing it was shot with mirrorles camera.
Sorry about "My friend the Crow." Crows have a very long lifespan from 7 to 21 years! The fact that a crow befriend you exemplifies your "good nature soul."
Sorry to hear about the crow. Unfortunate that there are people who kill because they enjoy killing.
first :D
thats so sad about the crow.......i hope hes fine
❤
