Hello, you just said you hoped we didn't mind it taking so long, we're here for you 💞 it's a process and we love watching this and you, otherwise why else would we be here 🫂 Oh and everyone that have fur babies around can't help but get attacked by floating hair, it's inevitable 🤷🤗 I tried to be funny , ha! ha!ha! 😊
I’m so glad you are still showing some of the steps needed to accomplish the task. Many creators start out showing all the steps and as their channel grows they start fast forwarding or just cut out much of the steps. I have had to stop watching many of the channels I use to watch because of that. Please don’t stop showing the steps because that’s what I watch videos for. I may or may not try the project but I do like to know how much time it’s going to take. ❤
These coasters are so pretty. J love that the print has a 3D look to it. Easier than using all the sand, shells, etc with such a similar look. For anyone that wants to know about the paper, it's scrapbook paper that can be found on temu and Amazon. A huge variety of different prints! Thanks Julie❤
I like how the paper has 3-D effect. I love the white fast cure resin. Yours came out beautifully. I’d like to see the white without a full cut coaster, and not using the silver pen. So many possibilities!!! Enjoy watching all you create!
I have been doing this for a while now. I wish I could show you the wedding piece I made recently for a friends anniversary. It's a 7" disc with their wedding photo in the center and I made a wild flower border sticker. I also added their name at the top in a fancy font with gold pen and the wedding date on the bottom in the same gold pen. I use super glue to put sawtooth hangers in the back, one near the top to hang the piece and one towards the bottom to help straighten it in case it hangs a little crooked. Then I stuff clay in the gap between the piece and the hanger and I make a nice space under the hanger so you can get a nail or screw of whatever size almost to fit. I leave the tabs on the sides uncovered. Then I make a raised ring away from the actual edge with high viscous UV resin. Then I pour a thin layer of black resin inside the raised ring to cover the tabs on the hangers and also to help make sure the transparent sections are backed. I'm currently doing 3 more for a client who wants his current dog on one and his last 2 dogs that sadly have passed on the others. I made 3 similar dragon skin effect disks in slightly different pebble like colors.
I would have never thought to use paper pictures like this. Genius I think, & so many possibilities. Thanks for sharing this, as always. Thank God for your creativity. We always learn so much watching your ideas come to light!
Your talking about your poodles not having hair reminded me of these mysteries I used to read. The main character raised, bred and showed Standard size poodles. She always talked about them being in hair. I can't remember exactly what that referred to but I did do some research on that, I'm just that way. In the US there are dogs that are considered to have hair, as in hair that does not moult but grows fairly continuously. Then there are dogs who have fur, which moults continuously and never grows beyond a certain length. So, yes, in the US, your cutie patooties do indeed have hair. This is from a graduate of the college of obscure knowledge. Lol just kidding.
I’m just learning to work with resins. I appreciate your step by step videos. Such lovely creations. I love the blooms. But it’s nice learning different techniques. I find the older I get the more videos I need to watch to get things to stick in my head. Thanks, Julie!
When I watch the videos I write down the techniques in a book. That way when I want to try the project all the instructions are there ready for me to follow
The scrap pieces would good in your heart pendants. Pour enough resin in to leave just enough space to put the scrap pieces in then add more resin resin on top to cover the paper pieces.
Gosh…I really liked the white and clear edges and thought noooo, don’t do the silver and backing. But then, you did the silver and backing and it was beautiful!! Thanks for being a great teacher…again! 😊❤
Hey Julie! These papers are just so pretty, love the colors. I've used a few different sealing methods...Mod Podge, spray sealant and even packing tape. if you're new to this, remember to get everything including the outside edges coated very well. If not, the resin will seep in and discolor your image. What fun and beautiful project! Big hugs from Texas!😍🤩
Once again you’ve inspired me! My 7 year old daughter and I traced out so many coasters on a wide variety of decorative paper tonight and I cannot wait to give this a try tomorrow morning!!
This was a wonderful project! It has so many possibilities for future ideas. I absolutely love the fact that you are not afraid to experiment your ideas or walk your viewers through your thought process. Thank you for sharing your craft. 🙏
Those came out great. I got your large geode tray to use for Cuban cigar bands to make a tray for my husband. Thanks for giving me the inspection to get it done. Beautiful ocean coasters.🌊🌊🌊💙💙💙💙
It’s interesting that you put the paper in the moulds before the modge podge was dry. I expected you would have had to dry it to ensure it was sealed before you added the rest of the resin. Obviously it worked though. They look amazing!
Chica, what a brilliant idea you had to make these coasters from pictures! WOW! YOU continue to amaze me. Super Fantastic job! They came out gorgeous!❤🎉😊
You are so cute Julie, you always make my day! I just love ALL your creations. They are always so beautiful. I love hearing your sweet babies in the background. Take care my dear friend, love from Texas ❤ xoxo
I don't know if you can get it in Australia but they have a 4 inch hole puncher I can link if you want. Would save time and mistakes of cutting wrong. I love mine. These turned out so beautiful. I'm going to have to get those deco color pens 😊. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
I haven’t seen your videos in a while (thank you TH-cam algorithm!), but I was so happy to see you posted a new video! And I’m working on coasters with Christmas papers for craft fairs this year, so the topic was very timely! I have tried different water based glues, 3 layers per side, and I still get “wet spots”, so I’m curious if you can recommend any other sealing ideas? I’m ready to give up and try laminating, I just hate how wide of an edge you need to leave when doing that method. Any other ideas for sealing paper? Thank you!!! 🙏
Hello Julie , I know you have a granddaughter and I was wondering if you've ever made coasters with a photo of her or your daughter. Could you do a project like that I would like to make a couple with a photo of my two new grandbabies
I hope I am not too late to ask this, but what if you Mod Podge the front, then the back, the front the poured the bottom, waited for it to cure, then did the back and stuck them on? You could get a lot more done that way, faster. I am doing a wedding tray for daughter and son-in-law. I took a picture of their Save the Date and wedding invitation. I will then fill in the gaps with wedding pictures. I will make these coasters to go along with it, using different pictures. These will be the hit of Christmas, even better than the life size ceramic moose head. 😂😂

The sea shell coster are lovely 😍 and your furbabies are beautiful 🐩🐩🐩😍 ❤️

See I prefer when they do that. I just don’t have the free time to spend an hour to only watch one video. I love the fast forward lol
i like them a little fine glitter in the clear would of been a nice touch!
These coasters are so pretty. J love that the print has a 3D look to it. Easier than using all the sand, shells, etc with such a similar look.

Thanks Julie❤
Julie, you can use spray varnish to treat the paper also. Love how the coasters turned out. ❤
I love your aesthetic. Who doesn’t love a beach scene? Can’t believe the depth of these coasters with only paper! Amazing idea.
I like how the paper has 3-D effect. I love the white fast cure resin. Yours came out beautifully. I’d like to see the white without a full cut coaster, and not using the silver pen. So many possibilities!!!

I absolutely LOVE these! You just solved my problems with shells. Love the 3D look
I love the cork backs. I still haven't gotten to start making anything yet. I love watching you create.❤❤❤
Nice work Julie. I use paper a lot in resin, it's not easy to make it look great like your coasters. So pretty, great simple instruction
I would have never thought to use paper pictures like this. Genius I think, & so many possibilities. Thanks for sharing this, as always. Thank God for your creativity. We always learn so much watching your ideas come to light!

They look good. I reckon a very pale clear blue or teal would have looked great and given an under water look. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺
❤ The coasters turned out great and so 3D looking. The instrutions and information are much appreciated. Thank you. M in USA NH

You inspire me so much. I just love watching you.
Wow! From the Thumbnail photo, I thought these were layered shells, etc. And wondered why it says 'photos in resin'.😅 Those are Fab 2d pics!
Paper OR photos in resin.
I love anything to do with the sea! These are beautiful! ❤
The scrap pieces would good in your heart pendants. Pour enough resin in to leave just enough space to put the scrap pieces in then add more resin resin on top to cover the paper pieces.
Beautiful 🤩😍 I love everything is about the sea 🥰
I enjoy learning from u.. Love everything u make❤
Gosh…I really liked the white and clear edges and thought noooo, don’t do the silver and backing. But then, you did the silver and backing and it was beautiful!! Thanks for being a great teacher…again! 😊❤
Probably one of my favorite coasters you’ve ever made! ❤
I LOVE these! I live in Florida; and they will be a huge hit!!

Nice! You’ve helped me on a paper project I’m working on right now, thank you 😊

I love these. Thank you for showing us how easy it is to do these. 😊❤
The coasters are super cute!
So breathe taking.... especially not having been to a beautiful beach before ...thank you Ms Julie 💗💗💗
Absolutely beautiful!!!!💙
Those came out great. I got your large geode tray to use for Cuban cigar bands to make a tray for my husband. Thanks for giving me the inspection to get it done. Beautiful ocean coasters.🌊🌊🌊💙💙💙💙
Simply gorgeous, thanks for being a great teacher.
The silver edge causes a little shadow around the edge which enhances the depth and tricks the eye to make the shells look more 3-D.
These are so pretty. The 3D look is great. I like the silver on the side but not so much over the top edge. I think it distracts from the pictures.
These coasters came out so pretty. Love the 3-D effect.❤
Gorgeous coasters. Thank you for sharing ❤
Those turned out gorgeous!! 💗
So pretty! Love these. 😊
They are so pretty!❤
Teeth come in handy for many uses, apart from the obvious! I also use mine for removing those little discs 😂 Beautiful coasters ❤
Those make cute and easy gifts. Thanks for doing those. 😎
I enjoy your videos! You e taught me so much about resin!
I like them clear on the sides.
I do too. The white shows and kinda frames it
I love them! Thanks so much for showing us how to use paper in resin. I so much enjoy your videos!
Those would be really cute with sand and shells on top to give them depth.
It’s interesting that you put the paper in the moulds before the modge podge was dry. I expected you would have had to dry it to ensure it was sealed before you added the rest of the resin. Obviously it worked though. They look amazing!
I was thinking the same thing.
I love these coasters ❤ Since I live in Florida my apartment is theme is the beach. I love watching your resin videos. ❤
They are very pretty
Thank you for doing the coasters. I haven't watched your channel in a while. I don't care for blooms.
They look awesome 🤩
Beautiful!!!😍thanks!😘
Very nice, I love the images. ❤
Julie, these coasters are very pretty. I have almost caught up watching all of your videos from day one! I love watching you.😊❤

Very nice ❤
I don't know if you can get it in Australia but they have a 4 inch hole puncher I can link if you want. Would save time and mistakes of cutting wrong. I love mine.
These turned out so beautiful. I'm going to have to get those deco color pens 😊.
✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Those are just perfect.
Love them! I have the same paper ! I may need to buy some more polyurethane resin.
Can you please tell me where you got the paper from. I can’t see it in Julie’s post. Thanks 💕
I like the edges like they are without using the pen
Hi, would you please make a video on how to make a paper weight with real seashells with resin?
The coasters are fantastic but once you put the silver around them they looked 3D Love them

Very pretty!💖
Thank you for the Great idea of using paper in coasters , there's tons of different designed papers out there to choose from 😊😊❤❤❤
Fabulous
Hey Julie, I sometimes laminate my paper sheet before putting in resin.
Hello Julie , I know you have a granddaughter and I was wondering if you've ever made coasters with a photo of her or your daughter. Could you do a project like that I would like to make a couple with a photo of my two new grandbabies
