@@ClairesCraftyCorner I love the bed sheet ghost idea ... My mind sees one in front and then rows of an army behind him. Like the MJ Thriller type march (Forever an 80's girl) 🤗 I'm sure whatever you do with this will be wonderful!
I think they scream Halloween 👻🎃 Claire! But I think I would use this to stencil ghosts on my windows and maybe put a black sheet of plastic behind them or a black curtain! Love the idea of stenciling them in resin though I'm gonna have to think on this one on what other than Halloween I could use it for. Btw the coasters gave me true bob Ross vibes with the pines! Great video 💯📸 much love sweet girl 💞🤗🥰
Oooh, you could do spiders webs 🕸 in places as the first layer that you look through, and then spooky layers behind with ghosts and yeah maybe a graveyard with a haunted church in the background, and some bats flying around in the sky. Now you just know I'm going to say it, but maybe a light sprinkle of glitter in the black background at just the top of the piece so that it looks like stars ...or you could do clouds and a moon...oh the possibilities! Great video as always! Very inspiring! 💖
Ethereal mists amid the piney forest, the wafting tendrils mystifyingly converge in the gloom. The the little red cardinals post on the snowy pine bough sheltering from the freezing mist. Oh, well, you’re on your way with this one, girl! 💙🌎🤗
They look almost surreal in their ghostlyness and no cover on the edges were definetly the right way to go! I see a try with a mix of this and Daniel's hairspray technique in my near future.
Thank you Claire for chosing to work with this mold. I loved to watch your video. So ispiring, so many ideas are crossing my mind now. Thank you Claire.
Claire, if you do your "ghosties," you might do one tray with a black background and one with an orange background to really amp up your Halloween vibes. I think it will be seriously cool! 🎃
You can buy temporary glue spray for stencils! This stuff works really good. once it's on the stencil, you can use it more than once and as long as its sticky, you can place it on the back of stickers (that silicone coated stuff).
The great thing about anything you create using stencils means the possibilities are endless if you have access to a cutting machine! Vinyl makes great (tempo ry) stencils! 😃. The coasters are stunning!! 😍
Brilliant imagination,Ms Claire 💜💜,you always think out of the box,and that's what inspires us.Loved these coasters and the ghostly 3d scenes in these 😍😍😍💜💜💜
I feel like silk screen would work well for these. I have experimented with my cricut and created painters tape stencils, this would also work. I love your videos, I learn so much from you, thank you!
Sooo cool!! If you want better control over the frosted spray paint, you can always put a disposable bowl into a plastic grocery bag, spray some of the paint into the bowl and use a micro brush, etc to dab or brush the paint on. One of my favorite TH-camrs recently did this to use spray paint on her bathroom fixtures!!
Fantastic idea using the tape! I have many stencils but they aren’t sticky. These are just fantastic! I love the total 3D effect they have. What a beautiful idea! Thank you so much! 🌲🤍
I love ur videos and find your accent adorable and all of your videos. You’re so excited about everything. It really makes it enjoyable to watch. Thank you for sharing.💞
Hi Claire, aww these are gorgeous. Hav u tried using Crafters Companion Stick n spray repositionable spray for the back of your stencils. ( Purple lid) it will keep ur stencils in place n shouldnt damage ur resin. Might be easier than the tape n will defo keep the stencil flat. Loved watching. Thank you n take care x
Claire, I probably, no definitely won't be trying this technique. I definitely don't have the patience you have. But this video is really awesome. And if I was at a craft fair, I would definitely talk to the maker and possibly buy them.❤❤❤
Love, love, love! This ghost forest would be great for Christmas, winter, or Halloween. I agree about trying vellum or vinyl. I was looking for frosted self-adhesive permanent vinyl to do fake frosted glasses, but the only stuff I could find was the Cricut kind. I didn't want to take a chance on generic window cling, but it could be an option if it's getting sealed in resin. Can't wait to see what you do next xx
If you used a tray mould & created your ground line at an angle going left to right or vice versa to create. Slope, if you then did your trees following this line, but keeping an area clear so that a couple of layers in you could cut out a person on ski’s, snow boarding or sledges or even huskies pulling a sledge & place that on your slope, although with huskies you can do that on the flat. 🌲 ⛷️🌲 🏂🌲 🛷🌲 🐺 🌲 then add a couple more tree layers.
Painters pyramids! Thats what you were thinking i think and those would be fantastic for stuff like this! I like using cups but anything you don't mind using resin on works! My butane torch died too it flicks where you see the spark, you can hear the gas coming out but it will not light or stay lit if you use a lighter to light it! I dont call those a blow torch i save that for the propane tank torches but the butane filled i just call a torch but im in the states so we may refer to things differently! Okay these coasters are gorgeous Claire! Love!!!! Such a smokey effect!! So pretty!! Just love these! Much love sweet girl 💕🥰 🤗
I love the effect. I've made reusable stencils using transfer tape, it's not gonna last a million uses, but it is slightly sturdier than basic vinyl, so removing it won't make it rip as easily. And it comes with a grid for accurate placement. I'm tempted to try something similar with a light box type of a scene, and maybe leave the background translucent, so I can add a light behind it.
If you don't have those triangle things you were mentioning, check in with your local pizza shop--they usually place them point side down onto the pizza before putting them into the to-go boxes to keep the lids from touching the tops of the pizzas. They look like miniature 3-legged stools. We used to use them for our decorative painting projects--"stool" parts on the table and pointy parts facing upward holding our painted projects. Hopefully they'll give you some for free (but you might have to order a to-go pizza!). Thank you for your video!
There is a low tack adhesive spray that I have used on stencils for paper crafting called Pixie Spay. I don’t know how it will work with resin, but it might be worth a try with your stencil project. I love all your videos. Keep on crafting.
Claire, this is a awesome idea, you have inspired me to try a 3D effect. Unfortunately it won’t be with frost spray, but hopefully my idea will turn out as awesome as yours. Thank you x❤️
hi my name is Maria I live in Cyprus , I've been watching your videos for a year now , you are amazing , I love your excitement and everything your doing amazing work and I learning a lot from you. I am still waiting for the tutorial on how to do 3 D project with resin , with fish and plants , I got all the 3D fish and flowers from amazon . I tried almost your tutorial and they turned wow . thank you for all the lessons .
I'm so grateful for you and your brilliant creativity and inspiration. I don't have frosted spray but I do have cricuts frosted glass vinyl. Gonna have to try it. Tfs😊
@ClairesCraftyCorner I have to say that I LOVE the longer videos! Secondly, yes they are micro bubbles from the aerosol as spray paint needs 12 hours to degas before the next layer of resin. And you wouldn’t be able to do the vinyl stencil on top of the spray for 24~48 hours after spraying without damaging the previous one. The only thing that I would recommend is to allow the topcoat to flow down the sides to get those edges evenly clear for the light to flow through. Amazing results though. And yes, just imagine doing this but with the snow spray especially on the XL trivet tray from @moldsandshapes!😮❤ Alternative way for Ms Speedy Gonzales on a little sum tin sum tin 😂 would be to just use a frosted vinyl or spray paint your own clear with the frosted spay and then put it through the Cricut machine the next day? xXx
Brilliant idea, you could try masking sheets instead of stencils, that might work as you could cut your design out on them with your cricut inside circles, place them in your mould, spray the lift them off, they're only slightly sticky as they're used for using on paper 😊
O M G Claire these are just a HUGE WOW !!!. IF i had all the thingys lol I would try using the vinyl etc. Animals, flowers ??? maybe but yes ghosties would be so cute as well. Can't wait to see what you will do next
I am finally getting back to watch dear Claire. I have missed you, and the lovely group. Life can definitely throw us curve balls. Of course on my first return is viewing a difficult challenge. I am not sure I’d have the patience. I love this for a Halloween theme; definitely a eerie, ghostly vibe. ❤
Frosted vellum? Whazzat? Suggestion...Use spray adhesive on the backs of the stencils to help them stick down? WOWWW! LOVE these! REALLY liking the frosted glass effect, Claire! 💕😍😊GHOST forest! Oooh! Put the tree groupings on a tray!!! The black background reminds me of your sprayed Christmas windows at night! 😊❤ Yes, I can see bedsheet ghosties! 'Dorable!
Ooh, I definitely like the idea of grave stones, small at the front but a big cross one on the layers further back... maybe a Skeletal hand popping up from one, a ghost hovering above, faint haunted house in the back layer and a spooky moon?!?!?
I'd expand on yours by adding a silhouette of a witch on her broom. I'd make a ghostly pumpkin too & give orange neon a go as the background in places as well as black. How I don't know but that's what I'd do 😊 xx
@ClairesCraftyCorner Halloween is my favourite time of the year. I'd do ghostly skeletons & skele hands too with a light spray of neon in places then.the rest as you've done it. The light would catch rhe neon really nicely! 😊
They look great for the stands if you have jar molds I have extra I made with cement so I put what ever I need a rise it works great don’t buy special stands
This technique has great potential although, ghosts I'll leave to you. I'm very interested in multi-pours and it seems the second layer could do with a discreet hint of the finest shimmer one can find. We'll see ...😉👍
What would you do ? Thankyou all so much for coming in and watching :) let me know what pattern / image you would create with this technique?

Cricut makes stencil material. It's called smart stencil for the explore 3, maker 3, or joy. There's also stencil film for using with a cutting mat
