Hey Julie....just had the coolest idea. 💡💡 If you could find a way to tweak your design so that the pieces "fit" together, sort of like a puzzle, then people could make them and then use them for tiling....like on a kitchen backsplash. How awesome would that be to make your own tiles and then install them. 😉😉
😍 Yesss! I totally agree with you. That would be such a fantastic project to make. Oh. I can see myself redesigning my kitchen with the backslash. How lovely would that be.😍
Julie, stir very briefly! No more than 60 seconds...less is best! Also, pre-color either part a or part b, OR dust the mold with chameleon, metallic, or mica powders. They work beautifully with PU resin! It's hard to get bubbles to stay in this stuff as it's so thin - huge plus! The PU comes in black, so you could even mix tiny amounts to make the veining, first, or make a full batch and pour onto the dusted mold! You can demold in about 10-15 minutes! Oh, these look so awesome, just plain! LOVE the filled-in look, too! 😍💕👍 P.S. I *HAVE* to have this mold! 😍💕👍
Love, Love, LOVE this! I'm so glad you experimented with the new resin. The glitter turned out beautifully. What a great idea for Christmas coasters using red, green & gold glitter! So glad you did this rather than another flower. Would like to see more of this type.
I use Amazing Casting Resin all the time and use them as appliqués onto furniture. I’ve actually never gotten bubbles. Let me add: if you want to apply it to a surface (example wood, metal, and or ceramic just heat it up a little bit with a heat gun and you can mold it to the surface. I use titebond glue.
Love those coasters. Theyre effects are only limited to our imagination. I just love the glitters you picked Julie, against the white they just stand out . theyre awesome
Oh my! Love love love your energy ❤❤❤ just came across your videos and I can't wait to watch all of them! Beautiful design and amazing color choice. Just Wow! ❤❤❤
These are absolutely perfect for Christmas! Love you use of the poly resin. I would think if you wanted to, you could paint with the chrome pens, the edges gold or silver as well. Kinda like how you did the tray. ❤❤❤
This was fun to watch. I remember when you did your tray that turned out beautiful and you showed us all this mold as well. I been waiting to see you use it and I LOVE LOVE LOVE what you did with these. Thank you for all you do to help us as well ❤
I used this resin for a mold I made. Parts of the mold were very small and didn't get filled. One wasn't cured all the way, but came out of the mold a bit bendy, but cured after all. I only mixed for 15 seconds. Total working time is 2 minues. I only used alcohol to remove the piece. There are lots of possibilities with this. I wanted white so I could paint it with acrylic and seal. I'm going to remake my mold to make it 2 pieces that I can glue together.
Oh wow that cures too fast for me. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤❤. Julie I love your videos. You get so excited and I totally understand the excitement. 😊😊. I guess you can dust mica powder in the holes before putting the resin and then put a top coat?
I love these Morrocan Molds; I have some interesting items from that country. The Poly resin does smell; stains, paints are often made with it. This is where masking and/precautions need be taken. I like these for holiday decorations. Puffy hearts are so pretty.
I have found pouring equal amounts in 2 different cups, then dump them together and mix for 10-12 seconds. I ran out of time before that and it cured in the cup
Claire, has said in the past that when you add any liquid like coloring and alcohol that it slows down the curing, but it will always cure unless you add too much liquid.
I have a bedspread that has that shape on it. It was in the bedroom I slept in at my grandparents house. She even had curtains to match. The colors were in the blue/teal family.
Thanks Julie! I read somewhere to not use a wooden stir stick because wood can trap moisture which can cause bobbles, IDK, I just recall reading that info. Paper mixing containers are also supposedly problematic. The manufacturer was not Let's Resin, but another poly manufacturer so this information may not apply. You never know :)

Cool! Julie's far too busy to respond :(
Yes, I thought that as I was watching. I thought they would 'fit', but maybe not. They look so perfect. 👏
This sounds like a fantastic idea! Like how ppl do just a few bright eye catching tiles among white or something. Sounds lovely
Very pretty. They look like eyeshadow palettes

I agree I've used PU resin a few times. I botched the first couple batches because I mixed too long lol. But it is amazing resin
Thats a great idea!

They are so beautiful! I'm asking for molds for my birthday! This is going to be a must have.
I really love this so much!
I am so glad you tried these out. They are so beautiful. Have a blessed day 🥰🥰🥰
These are gorgeous. Love the mold, the glitter and the experiment.❤
You could pour clear resin and let it sit and then once it's dry You could use Cecil resin whatever colors you want and it would be a sun catcher
I’m pretty sure that sort of resin is highly flammable .
Very very pretty ❤❤
Very cool! Thanks for showing us the PU resin! I was really afraid of it!
Love these! So glad I have your big mold of this coaster set and I love it.
I used this resin for a mold I made. Parts of the mold were very small and didn't get filled. One wasn't cured all the way, but came out of the mold a bit bendy, but cured after all. They remind me of stained glass, just gorgeous ❤ ❤ !!!
I have found pouring equal amounts in 2 different cups, then dump them together and mix for 10-12 seconds. I ran out of time before that and it cured in the cup
