@@clintmusic1 Thanks a lot for this helpful video! This method works when you're in the Maschine's app, but doesn't when you use the MK3 as a controller. Did you find a way to make the pan works?
KIMMEA No prob. Yeah, I never really use it in controller mode. I did figure out the pan. Shift and pushing the multidirection knob, then turning left/right to pan
Fifth in. I feel like a lot of us are stuck exporting the audio tracks from a Maschine session over to Logic after all of the creation is done, and then arranging & mixing/mastering in Logic. The process works but damn if it isn't lengthy af.
This might be a silly question but how do you open the native instruments controller editor? You say to open it but it is already open on your screen and you are not showing where to find it? I am a total beginner when it comes to Maschine and this might be something pretty obvious to some people but not for me.
I am following your tutiroal here, but when I turn on my maschine mk3, Logic is automatically adding the maschine MK3 template in control surfaces, so now I have two- the mackie and the Maschine K3. WHich one do I use? Do I need the mackie anymore?
Bugger- I had Maschine Mk3 working fine (out of the box)with Logic- just with the mixer, until I messed with the Controller Editor- don't know how to get it back. I was looking to see how to how to use Mchine as an NKS controller for Komplete or Kontakt in Logic- now its stuffed- help...?
Cool presentation. See it the first time today. I can load Maschine in Logic X, but not "start, play, rec" and so on, with my MK3. Can't find, what went wrong :-(
So in my Logic Pro X I don't have the "set up" options in control surfaces and my Maschine mk3 isn't automatically coming up. I have my Mackie template switched on and the check and all that but I can't get the mk3 to show up in logic still.
Really helpful video, thanks. The problem I have is with latency when using it as a plugin in Logic, I toggle to midi mode and back and the latency is ok but as soon as I try to record something the latency becomes too long thus making it unusable. Have you had any experience of this?
Relik Tha Monsta The first part of this video will work with the MK2. The second part about the Logic Pro x integration where you can mix on the Maschine is only for MK3 I believe.
Hi. hope you can help? I want to play my Mk3 Maschine in logic using say, Maschine 2 or any of my NI packs, in a midi / inst track. Now don't laugh.. I just want to play the pads and it stripes/records a midi track in logic then plays back? Simple stuff right?. NOPE. I been told on TH-cam to "drag" the midi out and into logic but I'd sooner just play it. I know this can be done in Cubase easily. SOOOooo. Can it be done, yes or no in Logic Pro. I ain't yet upgraded to the new 10.5 so if this is the key then I can. Many thanks in advance sir.
Thank you for looking into this. I have just carried out a Mac hack on my 2011 MBPro allowing Mojave to load on it! It already works so much better too. This will allow me to load latest Logic. Apparently this allows what I want to do. Keeping all crossed mate.
1st, I want to thank you very very much for this video!! I have had this issue for the longest. I use Logic Pro 10(latest version) and maschine as a plug-in. My question is how use your maschine hardware to program your drum patterns and it play directly into Logics GUI? Right now the process I go through(which is extremely time consuming) is making my patterns, converting them to audio and then bring them over. I’ve seen a video from a guy named pat Ryan where he is hitting the mk3 pads and they are going directly into Logic. Please help.
Peter Powell No prob man! Thanks for watching. Maaan, I was just having this convo with another producer and we are doing the same thing as you! Lol bouncing out Audio into Logic. I have not come across a way to have it go directly into Logic without it being solely a midi controller.
@@clintmusic1 that is because it is simply not possible. If I had known this I would probably have gone for ableton push 2 and ableton live rather than maschine mk3, as that combination seems to allow this to be possible, but I'm still not 100 percent about that as I don't own them.
Here's my problem and god I hope you can help. I use mk3 for everything and the problem is I can get all the tracks separate in Logic Pro X bu nothing will record. The tracks play but when I hit record nothing happens. I have tried absolutely everything and nothing works. All my plugins are in logic but I can't use them, Son, please tell me what Im doing wrong. Im banging my head against the wall here. Thanks
amnesh Honestly, I’m not sure I can help you there. The way my workflow is setup, I just record all my drums inside of Maschine and then bounce them into Logic as separate WAV files. All of my other instruments I just use inside of Logic.
Clint music, I do everything in maschine I think I may just have to do it that way. I can use the plugins in maschine and I'm tired of trying to figure it out. Thanks for your help.
@@dylancraig7011 not as simple as that. And dragging as a wav file means you can't edit it in logic to help it suit the things added in logic. And further, wav won't follow the tempi of the logic project. It's a super frustrating hassle to do anything beyond very basic in-the-box functions.
That's really weird. When I first installed 2.7.6, I had Logic integration without setting up any templates at all...i just installed, opened Logic and loaded Maschine it and all worked seamlessly. Transport controls worked perfectly while controlling Maschine without having to switch instances at all. One day it randomly went away (which is how i ended up finding this video while searching for an explanation). I upgraded to 2.7.7 and lo and behold I never got the full integration back.
You’re the man! I assume this is the same process as getting the maschine studio hooked up; I’ve been debating if it’s truthfully a wise investment to get or not seeing that I use logic as my primary DAW & wouldn’t really want to change that.. the value of the maschine is too good to pass up, over 80 additional plug ins w/ 400 GB of samples (assuming that you can still access all of the komplete 11 ultimate library through logic).. none the less, thankful I found your video; if you happen to see this maybe let me know if my assumption is correct? About still having access to all of the komplete library while working through logic
esalaam89 You don’t need a control editor template for the MK3 integration. It’s automatic when you open up Logic. You just have to change the instance on your MK3 to Logic and it will allow you to control Logic.
CuzCutz it should install when you install the Native Instruments Maschine software. Search your hard drive, if it’s not installed you can download it from the Native Instruments website.
Hey Man, Loved te video learned a lot from it. Subscribed. Do you know how to export the audio from the maschine sounds? I added something(with the maschine) to a previous arrangement I had in logic and I can't see them in logic. Any idea how to export so I can edit the midi within logic? Thanks!
Thanks for watching man! Yeah, if you look on the lower half of your Maschine window where you have the midi patterns and look at the top of that half all the way to the right you will see what says "Pattern Length" Next to that you'll see a button that has rectangles and a button with a wave pic. Click, hold and drag the button that has rectangles and drop it into Logic. You can do the same with the wave button if you want audio instead of midi. Hope that helps!
for logic, make sure you have your advance tools options on, so that you can have the edit button in the control edit setup
Yes mate! Safe! Best description I found of how to do this. Hope you're well. All the best
Thank you!
Excellent. Straight to the pint and works like a charm. Many thanks
Hold down shift and while pressing the main encoder upward on the mk3 and it will activate your panning capabilities
Hey mate, nice job! to get the pan working you hold down shift + 4d encoder up/down.
MrPitsta thanks! I’m gonna give that a try!

for Pan just press SHIT and DOWN or UP on the main big knob.
