the modern gaming community is the reason i left the competitive scene. I won a bunch of matches back in the day, but those victories felt so empty when instead of congratulations and hand-shaking, all the community had to offer was excuses, bitching and moaning. Gamers need to remember that games are supposed to be fun.
That's like saying art is supposed to drawn, or food is only supposed to be ate for survival and nothing more. Games can be more than just fun, they can be art, sports, and tools.

I play as Mr Game & Watch a lot. He's definitely one of my favorite characters in Super Smash Bros. I laughed a little at the end when Mike pulled out Sonic 06.
The Gamecube was a vastly underrated system, in my opinion. I have lots of fond memories of it because of the cool and creative games on it: Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Melee, Killer 7, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Sunshine. I wasn't such a big fan of Wind Waker (though I loved the cartoon aesthetics), but I have to say I prefer the GC version of Twilight Princess over the Wii version.
i dont get how this is hard to watch just because they're bad at it. like they said they haven't played in a while. Now not every episode is a gem but i enjoy commentary from Mike and James thats why ill watch these videos. They have a lot of knowledge of movies and video games and such. Its more interesting than a lot of other people here on youtube commenting over games IMO. I also like the fact they are commenting over it live and not taping and going back and adding commentary.
One of my favorite games on Gamecube. Me and three other friends would meet before school and play this. At one point they decided to gang up on me. And they still couldn't beat me when using Luigi. Fun times.

This is my favorite Gamecube game. I've been playing this since I was 12, and it's still arguably the best beat-em up game I've ever played. Better than both Brawl and Smash 4 IMO, but I never got to enjoy Smash 64. The newer Smash series games feel way too floaty now, and some of the new characters are just fcking stupid if you ask me. lol
I still think it's a lot more dynamic how the characters smashed into walls and flew off the stage when they were getting the shit kicked out of them, as opposed to how they just kind of tumble and glide through the air in the newer ones.
It's a fighting game, not a beat-'em-up. A beat-'em-up game is a progression through tons of relatively weak enemies through a story, like Double Dragon 2 or Turtles In Time.
I fucking love this game. Originally my favorite game of all time (now my second favorite after playing Super Mario Galaxy 2). I love Brawl just as much, but Melee edges it out as the better one for me.

I always played with either Falco, Ness or Shiek, but I loved Pikachu as well. I always played with no items, and chose the Final Destination stage if possible, just because it would be a true test of who's better. If I could get a decent working GameCube controller and some friends to play I would love to again, hopefully the new Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS will be more like Melee.

I play 3 characters in Melee and those are Falco, Luigi and Captain Falcon, lol great to see you guys play Melee, this having been one of the most enjoyable fighting games with my brother as well as friends and even in tournaments.

Game and watch..His hammer could 10% of the time one hit someone. He also could catch range attacks and dumped them on the target. He was less,Predicable.

I doubt Brawl will ever become a classic. From the series I think Melee is the one most likely to become a classic.
