    Love to see another Element off-road! I take mine off-road everyday considering I'm on a farm. I've had mine in places no Element should be and it's never let me down. From a foot and a half of snow to light rock climbing mine has done it all. Great video.

    Nice. I ran an AWD element a few times on the beach (sand) in outer banks NC. I never got stuck never had issues. I think it was the gas tank and supports holding it that would bottom out occasionally and that makes me nervous but i was young and stupid and got lucky. As the original poster said accurately its not an offroad vehicle but it will get you places :)
    I have seen people get stuck real good in similar vehicles but there is also the driver to factor in.... just dont push it with one of these little guys

    2 inch bump lift kit, 17 inch wheels with A/T tires, air filter, exhaust system, out side should be done, then take all the seats and carpet out clean the inside, rhino line it, run the wire for the inverter to the back, with a switch, and then run another wire from that switch up to the front drivers seat to turn it off, throw a compressor in the side wall, with quick disconnects, throw the carpet back in and seats, hook up a Apple/Android unit in, done. Then go rhino line the outside of the whole thing, throw a 400 watt solar panel on top, done. Throw your camping gear and a little fridge, get the Eco Flow Pro in there and your ready. :)

    I guess I got lucky finding my Element since I work at a Honda dealership. 2008 Element with 164K miles. Got it for $2,000 plus tax. I've taken it up the side of the mountain by my house a few times. If you understand how the real time 4WD system works on the Element then you can avoid situations where it performs poorly. First mod I did was replant the stock tires with 235/70R16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W, night and day difference when off-road . Going to install the Aerogenics 2" lift probably this weekend then Spray the fenders with black need liner to give it the OG Element look.

    My 2010 is in perfect condition! Where I deer hunt there is a river crossing and a 20 minute uphill very rocky road that twists and turns. The element does it with ease. I'm thinking about ding some upgrades in the near future, probably start with suspension and a lift. I'll do a custom interior build as I was a cabinet builder/installer for 20 years. I'm actually considering selling my Harley Davidson to fund the project so I don't Ave to minimize.

    My brother has a automatic AWD Element and has it's all weather tires on and we have off road it like crazy and to places where we only Jeep's or 4x4 truck's only should go and the Element surprised us , like they say it's not just the vehicle it also has to do with the driver an how you know how to handle what you have, everything is original on the vehicle and has about 205,374 miles on it an still driver's strong and smooth, I wish I could put up some videos of us off roading it, maybe later. Omg I have that same element in sunset orange. Such a great versatile vehicle. I love everything about however I am in need of a new set of tires. I want to know, how do the stock 215/70 compare to the 235/70 tires you have on? In terms of handling/high speed cornering, acceleration off the line, and highway stability, how does the element drive with the the 215 vs 235? Also with the 235s have you noticed any trouble with the elements performance in terms of top end speed?

    • @StephenAldaco
      @StephenAldaco  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi great question happy to help. I like the ride of the 235’s a lot more. It sits higher and feels more stable when taking corners. Plus the ride is smoother; haven’t noticed much increase in road noise. Acceleration I have noticed is a bit slower off the line with bigger heavier tires. Top end speed I haven’t tried it honestly but I imagine it would be more stable than stock.

    • @markdesilva7207
      @markdesilva7207 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@StephenAldaco now as far as the acceleration goes how much slower would you say it is from 0-60 with the 235 vs 215s?

    • @markdesilva7207
      @markdesilva7207 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What tires did you come from before you upgraded to the 235s? If you came from stock, many Element owners can agree that the stock oem Goodyear’s are junk tires.

    • @StephenAldaco
      @StephenAldaco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markdesilva7207 not extreme but let’s be real the Honda Element is no race car to begin with hahaha 😅. My old tires were like used tires man it was really bad. I am happy with the new tires with everything except the MPG 😅

    • @markdesilva7207
      @markdesilva7207 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StephenAldaco yeah lol I agree. I am really in the market for looking for new tires. I am looking at 3 different sizes. Being a 215/70, 225/70 or a 235/65 for the stock rims. So my question, to you is if I want the best handling and stability without compromising on my off the line acceleration and top end speed which tire size would suit that purpose? I know the element is not a race car by any means but from my experience driving on the interstate/expressways where I live, traffic is relentless and most the the time whenever I try to merge onto the highway or keep up with traffic my element is just an obstacle on the highway. Especially when it comes to driving on highway curves with the flow of traffic. If traffic is in rush hour mode where there are not too many cars, they can be moving anywhere from 80-100 mph at least in my state! I personally think my element(at least) lacks power especially with the 235/70s I have on. The previous owner had installed those tires before I purchased the e. Honestly, feel free to let me know your input and what your suggestions are in my case.
      Thank you
