6:47 What really got me was Heimdall just looking on and seeing his prince fail. His job must really suck having the ability to see countless civilizations suffer but only look on.
It's too bad this main theme was never reutilized in any future moment with Thor. Imagine this score popping up in Avengers when Thor does something worthy of this 5:19
@@bighand1530 Everybody says that, but for me they both took away what I love about Thor. And it’s sad to me that people don’t mind or straight up prefer Ragnarok over Thor 1 when it completely takes away the beauty of it.
This movie and its soundtrack is waaay underrated. I'm not a huge marvel fan, but this was a pretty good movie where thor actually felt noble, and thor-like, unlike Ragnarok, where he's just an idiot. Here, He was an arrogant and proud prince who learned to be better from lesser beings. The characters and their performances, especially in this scene, really was impressive. Sadly people want their characters to crack too many jokes nowadays to seem interesting...
Adwaith Rathnakaran I am so angry at the fact that most people generalize this movie as boring and lame and describe Ragnarok as a masterpiece. Nobody gives a crap about taking a closer look these days. What's worse is that if a movie isn't funny enough they will focus on the negative things and then if it is then they'll praise all the little details.
Ragnarok was too goofy. I mean, in the worst part of the movie, when Asgard explodes, Korg just ruins the entire scene by making a terrible speech at a bad time. Too much joke not enough Thor.
Julian Zabala and after that, on the ship, they’re all watching their homeland burn down, Korg is like, “This will be a place of refuge,” and then the entire planet blows up in their faces, and he just goes, “Oh, well never mind guys. Sorry.” I’m thinking, Korg, please just for once, shut up and let them mourn would you?! And then Infinity War happens...🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I know this was four years ago but I know right? They always make something so good and then just throw it out for the next installment only to never use again. It’s so annoying. I mean this film’s soundtrack is beautiful and should’ve stuck with Thor throughout the MCU.
Read the comment beneath you 2 weeks prior.... our comments are almost identical lol. Great music isn't it? Also, "Letting go" and "Can you see Jane?" are right up with this one.
It scenes like this that make it hard to believe that after the events of the first movie or Avengers Thor did not confront Odin convince him to take the curse of having his powers dependant on the hammer away.
@TheGirlRobin most composers and artists pick a key they write in and stick to it because they enjoy it, so a lot of their stuff sounds the same. I make a lot of music myself and I always find myself making things in the F key, so a lot of stuff sounds similar.
check out the credit scene of Guardians of the galaxy..mjolnir will return to him...and storm breaker will be gone when Thanos will use Time Stone to undo the forge of the stormbreaker.. only guess...
Watcher: The Godly Prince that fell to Earth. -Watcher (Uatu) dialogue and reference about Thor in "The Earth lost its Mightiest Heroes" (3rd Chapter/Episode)
They should have reintroduced this in "What If...?", during the 3rd chapter/ episode where his alternate identical version died accidentally by Hawkeye's arrow by YellowJacket "Hank Pym" and realizing in the end Fury did a sloppy and careless mistake in not letting Balck Widow go to that mission on Ukraine and that course of action with Thor getting killed, Hawkeye put a sad expression that he indirectly accidentally unaware caused his death with YellowJacket doing that and for that with his death he failed his people, his friends, left his father heartbroken with his son's death even worse & giving even letting Loki a chance of putting the Earth as well as his people in danger through a conflict his brother started with the scene of him dying could be even more sadder with this track and so forth his future friends an teammates died along with him individually separate, knowing the Avengers almost died with him and Heimdall watching how his prince truly failed and died still incapable of doing anything
i love this soundtrack to bits.....its just that some parts sound too close to the eragon soundtrack. and i know he did both but does that mean that Patrick is running out of stuff???
6:47 is my favourite bit. Mjolnir lights up as if saying to Thor "I'm yours, I'm always yours... but you aren't ready for me to be yours avgain yet."
Woah… O.o That's deep man...
+Hiromi Laufeyson And a FAR CRY from comic Mjolnir, which is a dick.
+Nick Payne: You're right, it's the same line that this "bitch" used to say to Beta Ray Bill, LOL.
It sounds like he had a really intimate relationship with this hammer... ;)

Ikr?
That’s because they pretty much abandoned the Shakespearian nature of the character and turned his world into Looney Tunes… sigh
@@anomaly395 I didn’t mind Thor Ragnarok. Thor Love and Thunder, I wasn’t big on. And Thor Ragnarok had the theme of Thor 1 towards the end.

Best sound
looks like Loki disliked....
Ashley Beeman and two of the agents Thor beat up

I totally agree; I hated Ragnarok
Ragnarok was too goofy. I mean, in the worst part of the movie, when Asgard explodes, Korg just ruins the entire scene by making a terrible speech at a bad time. Too much joke not enough Thor.
Anya Israel Like, thank you Korg for being positive but you're totally missing THE ENOURMOUS FREAKING SURTUR IS STILL RIGHT THERE WREAKING HAVOC

6:45 I can't go a month without hearing it
Heimdall is watching.
6:45 this part always breaks my heart
The eyes of heimdal
5:00-7:40
Definitely pure emotion to this soundtrack
5:06 is pure beauty
Best part.
You better call it Coulson, 'cause I'm starting to root for this guy.
Last chance Sir

From 6:47 'til end it's pure magic and the epitome of film music. It nearly haunts me
Doyle is an incredibly underrated composer talent in my opinion.
oof the ending melody, still my fave thor movie
Yes
I've always wondered why they changed Patrick Doyle for the sequel. The music was the best part of the first film.
They did bring back the theme of this movie in Thor Ragnarok.
@@bighand1530 Yeah but only for like 20 seconds. Rest of the movie was just techno music mixed with rock.
@@anomaly395 I didn’t mind Thor Ragnarok’s soundtrack. But I do prefer the music score of the first movie.
@6:48that part of the music brings a tear to my eye
5:00 to the end is why i love Thor so much
Easily my favorite track in the movie, it starts out sounding like something from Iron Man or CA, then it turns into Thor.
sounds nothing like iron man lol
1st thor ost really really sticks out from the rest of the marvel ost's
the only other one that sticks out is winter soldier's theme
Infinity War and Civil War have a good soundtrack as well
@@bonsai1631 yeah i made this comment before i watched IW
that movie had outstanding tracks and civil war's main theme is amazing too
That moment when you feel soo good then all that joy is lost. 5:30
That’s how I felt when Star Wars failed and believe me, it’s worse than what happened to Thor in this movie.
At around 5:35 , It made me cry when he couldn't life the hammer :[
6:42 This part is orchestrated as if Valhalla is telling me everything's okay. Cheers, Patrick.
Call it.. Hawkeye is rooting for this guy..

'You'd better call it, Coulson. I'm starting to root for this guy.' Hawkeye ^_^
"You're big."
"Fought bigger." :)

the despair thor felt as he realized he no longer can weild the hammer was brilliant with the last 25 seconds of this song.
He just wants his hammer back, and get go back to his father, to ask for his forgiveness.
