    Its so crazy to see this house with so much changed. My mother and I cleaned this house and are friends with the original owner and her husband who is actually the architect of this beautiful home. Although I am sad to see the iconic bright yellow steel stairs that put this house in a magazine. So many things have changed such as the Wine room used to be a TV room as well as the new sitting area with a TV was actually a hidden room behind a book case, I guess she knocked down the wall to make it bigger although to this day I still get scared of the fire escape bridge on the third floor cause it had see-through floor (Made of steel) Its crazy to see this big beautiful home I grew up seeing so different now although it is beautiful.

    Is this a house or a parking garage.

    • @daveconerly1450
      @daveconerly1450 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the house is a parking garage. Like a few of the grand homes scattered in around the hills of Beverly and Bel air , this house has elaborate sports cars on various floors just to say " because I can " to show them off like fine China. So yes , it is a multiple parking garage centre .

      And it’s not a complement to the architect. It’s a joke how they create these pieces of shit and sell them for millions. Watching this I get anxiety for how low the ceilings are and all the cement on the ceiling, which is sure to kill you on its first take at falling with a serious earthquake.

  • @unnamedny
    @unnamedny 7 ปีที่แล้ว +60

    As a builder I can tell you that it probably takes fortune to cool down that house, if all that architectural concrete structure heats up. It takes a long time to heat up stone, but heat does not go away for days. I would imagine some areas of the house can get extremely hot and some would be extremely cold because of that imbalance even with AC on. Also so many windows would let plenty of heat into the house as well.
    Ceiling seems very low, I would say around 9ft in some location, not sure why anyone with such money would want to cramp himself/herself up in such space.
    On top of that, that ridiculous triangle on the facade kills the look of modern exterior. It look like some mall name should have been there.

    • @barandemirci
      @barandemirci 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      lucky you're a builder and not an architect, because as an architect I can tell you that this house is beyond beautiful. There are many improvements or changes I would make myself and I do agree with the ugly triangle facade however

    • @7ogica
      @7ogica 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      As an Architect i would say this house has nothing to do with architecture.

      Only true genius architects and engineers can integrate practicality efficient and design into one piece. I just believe some what better attempts should have been made to design this house. Madison pair this beach house with Bruce Makowsky at 924 Bel Air Rd. Bruce M. will agree because with a beach house his pad instantly becomes more attractive to any buyer. Also any future discounts won’t be so drastic as the last two he’s made with this added value. Jillian Michaels will agree because it adds tremendous value to her home. She could get her ask plus something extra. I’d ask Bruce for ten and TELL him, “It’s a good deal you should take it!”

      Then you have Billionaire wealth pasted down in family. Next, Cooperation Restate, Congressmen, Government workers, Mutual Funds, and Architect. Asians do not even dominate these fields in America.
      I debt a Restaurant and Nail Salon can pay for this house. The Asians who are in a place to buy would be the ones in ( like the Indians) in Tech and maybe Science. The only African-American money to touch this would be Professional Athletes, Entertainers, and Lawyers. The only Mexican money to touch this is...hard to say because even construction money can not pay.

      8 is considered a lucky number for Asians particularly the Chinese. Nail salons are mostly vietnamese but lots of corruption in the Mainland and they need a way to launder the money so they're pouring in real estate overseas. Believe it or not the world exists beyond the US.

      No.. I think concrete its much much better than stone. Stones belong to an old fashion design which is outdated and not match with modern minimalistic desings. Concrete is good selection. But overall this house worths tops one million commersial price. 8.8 m is an overestimated price

    The roped lighting, the table, the coffee table, and those shells are ugly. Also, no one is paying approx. $9m to listen to ocean mixed with traffic. This is a very nice place, overall- but I can't see anyone who appropriately weigh the marginal cost and marginal benefit purchase this location... but this is the United States... where people spend millions on "invisible art" and 450 ton rocks called "art"..

    I am a dog walker who works for clients in and around the area. At least three times a week, I walk many dogs up and down the shoreline on the beach and past this house. Honey , if I could tell you some of the stories of what goes on at this home. For because there's so many huge windows , and the time of day I walk by, so to be able to see , it seems that wild living goes on inside beyond the outer walls. The dogs I walk like to pee on the wall marking their territory.

    I really don't like this. In this location they could have designed something stunning. Instead they built a cold, concrete commercial office block. I actually like the look of exposed concrete and industrial styles but I don't like this home.

      9 000 000$. Par 1cm2 d'herbe. En regardant sur Google Map, la porte d'entrée de la maison donne directement sur la route.
      Le style, le design est une affaire de goût ; je trouve ça ni moche ni beau. C'est un genre qui se "popularise" ici en France.
      On verra ce qui restera de cette baraque dans 50 ans.
