it took me 5 different visits to be able to reach some of these spots without having to disturb the local residents and their privacy, not to mention the edit time which takes hours! but i truly enjoyed making this short video and i hope you do as well.

@@FreddyGirgis I know Barbra Streisand's property was up there but I couldn't tell which one was hers even though one of them is what they call the barn house and I've seen it before on other vids but I just couldn't find her property here .
Our family lived in Pt Dume for a year in 1956, house sitting for friends of my dad, when we had just moved from Texas for my dad's work. I was in 5th grade, 9 yrs old, went to Juan Cabrillo school. Almost no houses up there then, it was pretty much open country, I used to run around ip there with our dog, a black lab. I used to hit a baseball, and my dog would run and get it and bring it back. Weeds were about 18 inches tall. Then one day my dog decided not to go get the ball and I never saw it again.

Did you know that from the end of Point Dune on a clear day, one can see all the way to the downtown skyscrapers of Los Angeles business district? ... And in the near-ground the skyscrapers of Santa Monica. ... Would you kindly go and take a photo / video of that zoom view, please. I would be delighted to see such a video / photo. I am sure all your many fans on You-Tube would like to that too. ...

Can you tell me which one you think was Streisand's property as I know it has at least three to five buildings on it now but I couldn't quite identify it
gardensofthegods Barbra’s house at 2;21! White House with pool! Look up right,you’ll see part of the Mill house in red!
@@wadedavid4375 Streisand actually owns the structures on each side of the main home (with the pool) as well ... basically the entire actual "point" on Point Dume. Estimated at around $200M.

Some of those houses are a little too close to the edge especially their swimming pools... that's crazy.
There's one or two videos here showing pieces of the cliff on someone's property falling down and people below are watching it and freaking out ... and I'm pretty sure it was Point Dume. .
That's over on the west side where the cliffs are more unstable.

@@Yet1moreUtuber yeah more unstable. Less rock more dirt so it erodes at a faster pace. The beach east of the point is rock coverd in a bit of sand and this protects it thus why the cliff is so much steeper and closer to the water. Will it eventually fall in sure but has it in decades nope.

Just noticed the huge estate at 1:59 is in the movie Last Action Hero.
The point was also the location of the Tony Starks home and the place where the ending of the original planet of the apes.

Some of the houses I feel are too close and especially the swimming pools.
Also there's one or two videos here on TH-cam where people were down in the park below and chunk of the cliff fell off and the people below are freaking out... I'm pretty sure it was Point Dune

At around the 2:07 mark is Johnny Carson's home. You can see his tennis court near the top right of the screen and his house is kind of hidden behind the trees to the left on the beach. The best view is around the 2:13 mark where the camera is almost above it. It’s shaped like a triangle.
