- MSR has released their all new Xpedition Adventure Helmet and I've got one of the first ones to test out! In this video we take a look at the helmets specs, unbox it, try it on, and I share my first impressions.

Of all the various motorcycle (ADV and Dualsport) channels I watch, you do the best product evals/reviews. I like how you do close up shots of things, like how you showed the inside of the helmet when you unboxed it.

Good review swank, I do like the ability to crack it open slightly, as I started riding in the cold weather lately, my Sedici fogs up like crazy and it only clicks opens way too much for the cold wind.

I have the MSR MAV4 W/MIPS HELMET 2022, super comfy.
If I can find a way to mount a GoPro on this one I’m definitely getting one.
nice review i'm looking for and adventure helmet at the moment and i was leaning towards the HJC- DS now i'll check this one out that orange should go nice with my gen 3 klr 650 same color as yours
Heck yeah it would! Haha. I honestly have no clue, but you might want to wait a while if you'd be interested in a modular. I'd be surprised if they don't have one in the works.
Definitely for the price this is a win. I got mine a couple days and will see how it goes compared to my Klim Krios. Hoping they provide some pinlock options possibly. Only weighs 0.3oz more than the Klim!

One thing that has kept me from buying a new dualsport/ADV helmet is nearly all the ones I have looked at have a visor that has a V shape at the front, which makes them difficult to use as a functional "sun shade" while riding. I often times will tilt my head down some to keep the blinding sun out of my eyes in the morning or late afternoon riding when the sun is getting lower in the sky. This MSR helmet has a mostly FLAT profile across the front of the visor, making it a much more functional "sun shade".
Huh yeah I suppose between that and the ability to tilt it down so much... It'll be the most functional visor I've ever used I'll bet! I'm always riding and sunset and always tilting 🤣
Oh and I did the same with protective layer on the shield! Thought there was something wrong with it.
Lmao 🤣 usually they're all covered in information! I never even thought about it needing protection in shipping and possibly being invisible lol

The 100% goggles with outriggers work best with my HJC helmet.
I use to always run one too but ended up coming home late after riding trails with my safety glasses and a frozen face lol. I will miss the flip down sun shade my old helmet had though.
@@SwankyCatProductions I did the same thing! Luckily for me though, I live in the south, so it doesn’t get as cold here. But we do have bugs! So since then I’ve been carrying a pair of clear goggles in case I get stuck riding after dark. Well, since MSR just released this helmet, maybe they will offer a tinted shield sometime in the near future.... From what I can see, It certainly looks like a dual sport helmet that might be able to compete with the HJC DS-X1, which is the best budget dual sport helmet that I have tried, for the price, but it doesn’t feel like a budget helmet.

Nope, sorry no room for glasses, goggles were tight and visor doesn’t go up far enough. Otherwise nice.
