Hi I'm On Watch 4 with a OnePlus 12 device, does Non Samsung Phone Paired Watches Have AGEs Index And Energy Score for usage unlike ECG and Blood pressure monitor limited to Samsung Phone Paired Watches. Your videos are Very Helpful
Thanks for your very interesting observations. My go-to channel for sleep score and health evaluations has been the Quantified Scientist where he measures the watch against scientific instruments, as in some cases you also do. Based on his preliminary report the Galaxy Watch 7's accuracy is only mediocre. He comments that the software seems unfinished. Sadly, in his comparisons Samsung still trails Apple. Interesting that you scored them much closer. I'm a S22U and Watch 5 user but I've given up on Samsung for sleep and health tracking and use an Oura ring instead. I'll probably get a 7 for some of the other features and maybe the sleep and health software will eventually improve. Glad to have found your channel and added a subscription.
I would like to see the sleep apnea feature as I suffer from that. And, if able to get working, blood pressure. I subscribed to your channel. This is a great video and you are very professional.
Would love to have seen a GPS-overlay of your two devices in addition to the "total miles" computed. That would really give the viewer a greater idea of how this watch was truly performing from an accuracy standpoint. Any chance you could add this (or create a short 2nd video)?
I did the workouts starting and ending from where I live so I’d rather keep the maps private. I plan to do gps workouts starting elsewhere that I can share in the future. My outdoor biking maps followed my route perfectly; my walks were also good, maybe slightly less smooth.
Great review. Thanks. Thanks also for the watch face tip. I installed it and think I may stick with it. Always looking for more complications in a clean design.
Thank you for the video. Can you offer any insight into 40mm battery life vs 44 mm? I have a 17 cm wrist. How do you find each size few comfort and aesthetics?
@wearablewhisperer Great, thank you. People are reporting issues with stairs climbed. My guess is that Altimeter will need to be calibrated and set to auto-refresh, and the watch synced with the weather app at the shortest possible increment to work reliably. There's there's the issue of what height constitutes a floor. This would be an interesting test since it hasn't currently got great coverage and is integral to core fitness tracker features.
Hello from Portugal 😁 Thank you for you video. I have one question related with "Energy Score". Does it work on any android smartphone, or does it have to be a Samsung one? Because I received the watch 2 days ago and it hasn't giving me any points yet. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it is because of the fact that I don't have a Samsung smartphone. And, the AGE's hasn't giving me anything either. Have a great day 😁👌

What an extensive review, thumbs up! I'm just wondering about the heart rate monitoring with the Polar H10 during the walking sessions. There are lots of fluctuations within a short period of time from the Polar H10. Do you think there's something wrong with this set of data?
Thank you for the positive feedback! Regarding data quality, I noticed those fluctuations and they seem to appear at lower heart rates compared to higher ones. I did question the polar h10 accuracy but the Apple Watch also had some fluctuations that follow the polar h10, just not as large magnitude. I am a stickler for data quality though (I have physics/astronomy and data science degrees), so I’ve got a second polar chest strap coming tonight and I’ll do some more tests with the new one and see if the fluctuations remain or not.
can the galaxy watch 7 display the glucose information from the dexcom sensor, currently I have a galaxy fronter 3 that can display the glucose data from dexcom on the g - watch face without a problem. But I have heard displaying glucose readings may be an issue on the later watches.
Good question. I talk about the new Sleep Apnea detection feature in my Galaxy Watch Ultra Review video. Here's a link to that portion of the video: th-cam.com/video/xQF8JHQnRJA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_xcPM1WthOSMbKq5&t=875

I have a galaxy watch 3 and havent updated because I havent seen any new watches that gave a real benefit till now. I have been agonising over the 40mm and the 44mm. The 40mm sits on my small wrist the best but since the watch3 has a big frame its only 42mm. Battery is my main concern I want a full day out of my watch and I will use the watch 3 overnight. I sleep really well so its not a night time concern. Will the 40mm using all the bells and whistles like preferred watch face, gps, exercise, emails, text Ai be good for at least 15 hours?
Is your open swimming distance/speed/pace working?! I can be swimming in the sea for an hour and then tell me i just did 4meters :( i think something is wrong with my unit or with the GW7 in general
Anyone having overheating issues? I have the lte 40mm version and it has overheated a few times to the point im having to take it off. I dont talk on my watch i use it for notifications and when im running.
Review is helpful but I want to know whether Watch 7 is compatible with Android phone other than Samsung .Whether all the function run on Android phones other than samsung
Not all features are available if you use it with a non-Samsung Android phone. I am trying to determine which features are not available and will try to make a video covering this topic at a later date.
Wonderful presentation easy understandable . and informationable. Thank you . please make a clip about Galaxy Watch7 Fabric Band and which one beter Galaxy Watch7 Fabric Band or Fabric Band Slim. see you in the next video. 🤩
I've got mine out of the box earlier today. I've used 50%+ twice already and it hasnt even been 12 hours.... Unsure what's going on there. Battery indicates I have about 6 hours left on a 55% charge.
In terms of accurate tracking of health and others, what is your recommendation , should I buy Fitbit charge 6 or Galaxy watch 7 ? (My primary need is tracking accuracy)
I haven’t directly compared the two watches, but I’ve tested the charge 6 heart rate accuracy as well in my charge 6 review from last year if you haven’t watched that yet.
From what I can tell so far, it’s mainly the features that require the Samsung Health Monitor App (which isn’t available for non-Samsung phones). This includes ECG, Blood Pressure, and Sleep Apnea (for those countries where those features are approved; blood pressure is not available in the US, for example).
The athleisure band is not stretchy (like the fabric is). You might see a red light at times during the night if blood oxygen during sleep is enabled. Even if you have heart rate enabled continuously, you won’t see the green light while it’s on your wrist.
I can view my HRV during sleep, but I don’t see any way to measure it manually or continuously during the day and get an actual number (I’m pretty sure the stress tracking uses HRV).
I have bothand I'll be very honest, the Galaxy Watch 7 is much better, it moves much better, it responds much better, the screen looks much better and the digital rotation feels super good.
Don't do it man ..i have the watch 7 40 mm and the 6 classic ...the watch 7 is better in every single metric .. performance is noticably better and it's so much more comfortable to wear
I have been using the Galaxy watch 7 LTE version and my battery drains to 15% under 24 hours. That is without continuous heart tracking, no always on display, no snore detection. How are you able to get 50 hours?
I don't know if she said which version she had (LTE or Bluetooth) also the 44mm version has a bigger battery than the 40mm. I have the 40mm Bluetooth version and I'm not entirely sure which settings I'll stick with long term yet. The biggest change for me was to disable gps, WLAN, NFC, Bluetooth and only activate them when needed. Also I figured that the blood oxygen measurements during sleep aren't accurate due to movements. So I'll probably deactivate them too...
Unfortunately, the LTE version uses much more battery. The ideal is to disable and use Bluetooth when you have your phone nearby, and activate the data from the internet only when you use it without your phone nearby.
I clean my watch and bands with Cetaphil and rinse with water after each workout. I haven’t had any problems yet, but can’t report on longer-term use yet of course.
I have the 40 mm ..during the initial battery adaptation period . I drained the battery in 7.5 hours ..I had 5% left with heavy usage ...once it learned my usage patterns ..only thing I did was turn off always on display .. everything else is maxed out ...after 7.5 hours I had roughly 75% battery left ...is shocking to get such different results just days apart ..but i think it's pretty impressive for a 300 mah battery ..it's sort of a little beast...I'm still testing but I've seen a major improvement after a week
@@vazquez7871are your settings for gps, Bluetooth, WLAN (...) active by default or did you deactivate them? I only felt a change in battery life once I turned them off and activated them only when needed.
A common time to charge is when you shower. It’s also good to give your wrist a break every so often so I usually just let mine get low and then charge then unless I know I’m going to need more charge earlier for a workout or sleep.
Hello, I have a Galaxy Watch 7 44mm and I have WhatsApp installed on the watch and on my S24U, but when I get WhatsApp message on my phone, and without using him, it doesn't always give the notification on the watch, sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. Anyone with this problem? Thanks.
@@sherrybogle5449 There's a software optimization update coming from Samsung within the next few days. So far people in New Zealand, India and the South Pacific claim it worked and their battery life is significantly better. Fingers crossed!
Several people have also reported battery life issues. Seems like Samsung is aware and working on a fix, but no timeline or guarantee. Definitely not an ideal situation.
Yeah, I recently found out that Samsung has a support page where they describe that they changed the design/shape of the rear sensor array to increase accuracy, but the new shape doesn’t allow for power sharing anymore.

Great review. Your gw 7 was registered with LTE and was it 44 mm?
44mm no LTE
can you do review for garmin venu 3 or 3s vs samsung watch 7
Is your open swimming distance/speed/pace working?! I can be swimming in the sea for an hour and then tell me i just did 4meters :( i think something is wrong with my unit or with the GW7 in general
Can you charge this from the back of the phone using Wireless Power Share? Thanks in advance.
I answer that question in the video…
Thank you for the positive feedback 🙏 I think I will make a video about the Fabric Bands. See you then 😄
@@wearablewhisperer if Im not mistaken it should be the slim version in the video right?
Looking good Kelsey
Thank you for the kind words 🙏😊
I've got mine out of the box earlier today. I've used 50%+ twice already and it hasnt even been 12 hours.... Unsure what's going on there. Battery indicates I have about 6 hours left on a 55% charge.
Sorry to hear. See if there is a software update available. If not, I’d return/exchange.
@@wearablewhisperer thankyou ma'am.
You’re welcome 😊
Do you know which features are not available when using the pixel 7 phone? Im getting varying info.
From what I can tell so far, it’s mainly the features that require the Samsung Health Monitor App (which isn’t available for non-Samsung phones). This includes ECG, Blood Pressure, and Sleep Apnea (for those countries where those features are approved; blood pressure is not available in the US, for example).
Hello, is the textile band elastic? During the night, Is the green light still on? Thank You
The athleisure band is not stretchy (like the fabric is). You might see a red light at times during the night if blood oxygen during sleep is enabled. Even if you have heart rate enabled continuously, you won’t see the green light while it’s on your wrist.
Great review, can the watch track heart rate variability (hrv)?
Yes
I can view my HRV during sleep, but I don’t see any way to measure it manually or continuously during the day and get an actual number (I’m pretty sure the stress tracking uses HRV).
The Galaxy Watch 7 is nice, but I'm considering getting the Galaxy Watch 6.
I have bothand I'll be very honest, the Galaxy Watch 7 is much better, it moves much better, it responds much better, the screen looks much better and the digital rotation feels super good.
@@carlosovni7100how bout the sensor ? its same or just gimmick?
Get the 7
Get the 7. It's snappier. Thank me later
Don't do it man ..i have the watch 7 40 mm and the 6 classic ...the watch 7 is better in every single metric .. performance is noticably better and it's so much more comfortable to wear
How do you get the blood pressure to work .do video on that one
Unfortunately, the Blood Pressure feature is not available in the United States.
Thanks
You’re welcome
That was the greatest pronunciation of "Fifty" I've ever heard 😅
My battery dies in 10-12 hours with none of the health features activated. I have the 44mm LTE version.
I have a 44mm non LTE 7, and I'm not getting anywhere near 50 hours
@aacdallas88 Same here, looks like there's a lot of faulty units
Unfortunately, the LTE version uses much more battery. The ideal is to disable and use Bluetooth when you have your phone nearby, and activate the data from the internet only when you use it without your phone nearby.
I want this watch 7 bad I love the desgin
Looks better than the ultra
Are people concerned about sweat with the fabric and athleisure bands?
I clean my watch and bands with Cetaphil and rinse with water after each workout. I haven’t had any problems yet, but can’t report on longer-term use yet of course.
The battery life you talking about 40mm or 44mm ??
This video is based on the 44mm
I believe the battery test was done with the 44mm variant. Can you please share the metrics for 40mm variant.
Yes, battery results were from the 44mm, sorry for not clarifying. I’ll share the 40mm results in a video when I have them.
@@selvakumarm8948 after 12 hours at the beach yesterday ...was at 58 %...
If you wear it while you sleep, when do you charge it?
A common time to charge is when you shower. It’s also good to give your wrist a break every so often so I usually just let mine get low and then charge then unless I know I’m going to need more charge earlier for a workout or sleep.
Hello, I have a Galaxy Watch 7 44mm and I have WhatsApp installed on the watch and on my S24U, but when I get WhatsApp message on my phone, and without using him, it doesn't always give the notification on the watch, sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. Anyone with this problem? Thanks.
My battery is only lasting about 6 to 10 hrs and I have almost everything off and did the update
Sorry to hear. That is definitely not normal. I’d suggest returning / exchanging via store you purchased from.
Does it track calories burned?
Yes
One thing I’m disappointed in is I can’t use the Facer app now
Does this watch connect to external heart rate monitors?
Unfortunately, no
The users adjust to the bad battery life by turning of many features that the watch do. In my opinion, just get a Garmin.
works smart responses¿?
I am only getting 8-10 hours. How are you all getting so much battery life ?
Same deal here. Garbage battery. I'm ready to return it if they don't push out a software update for optimization within the next week.
I am getting 8 hours from 100 to 0. I have tried everything. Can't figure it out. So disappointed
@@sherrybogle5449 There's a software optimization update coming from Samsung within the next few days. So far people in New Zealand, India and the South Pacific claim it worked and their battery life is significantly better. Fingers crossed!
What phone and watch do you use?
Samsung S21 FE and Galaxy Watch7 44mm Bluetooth
@@wearablewhisperer Thanks. Have a nice day.
You’re welcome 😊
Battery lasts me 4 hours, max 6 if not used. Whats up there?
Several people have also reported battery life issues. Seems like Samsung is aware and working on a fix, but no timeline or guarantee. Definitely not an ideal situation.
I dont think the Watch 7 has wireless qi charging so it cant be charged through power share. Not a fan of powershare anyway, its finicky and slow.
Yeah, I recently found out that Samsung has a support page where they describe that they changed the design/shape of the rear sensor array to increase accuracy, but the new shape doesn’t allow for power sharing anymore.
