Gus was an incredible, out of this Earth vocalist with a charismatic stage presence. I remember I was very sad and angry when I learned of his death. Only the good die young. That band was unique. A perfect execution of a vile, pure anger and aggression and a gallery of other emotions with tastefully interspersed here and there moments of pure beauty and atmosphere.
@@dkyelak Exactly. I've seen them live many years ago, think it was in Katowice. I remember Gus throwing beer in public, thought he was mad haha. Couldn't appreciate their music as much back then. Got into them because of Waldemar. I listened to a lot of bands whose albums he produced.
@@alcovefib At first, I didn't care for them back in 1996. Like you said I couldn't appreciate them. Waldemar and Dave were a fantastic combo- reminiscent of the chemistry between Adam Jones and Danny Carry. I think Dave's playing is much more interesting on the G.I CDs than what he did in Slayer. And Gus had a perfect voice. Interesting to hear how his voice evolved/improved over the span of the band's career.
I'm watching this and keep glancing up to the setlist on the wall above my monitor to see what song is next :D Summoning was crossed off when they played Nottingham Rock City so it is nice to finally see that, but otherwise, same songs in the same order! Shame they only broadcast the middle bit of the set, would have been great to see Scream at the Sky (next after Rusty Nail), but no, all we get is a rhino's arse... Still one of my all time favorite bands (Grip Inc that is, not rhino's arse). I got one of Lombardo's signed drum heads after the gig too. :D Thanks for the upload.
Lombardo play better here with Grip Inc to me he have really fun to play with Grip Inc, more than in Slayer. awesome band, they have some killer riffs and songs
I can't stand that the interviews overlay the actual live show, this is an incredible concert that I wish I could see from beginni9ng to end....RIP Gus Chambers
Torchbearer666 especially the fact that at the time of the interview, I was the bass player, standing to the left of Dave on screen... but Stuart was the bass player for the actual EU tour. Fuckin hilarious 😂
@@vegastrucker702 How WAS it playing with Lombardo during THAT era? 🤔...Just curious. From an old school Lombardo "drum groupie 🥁" as Dave calls US 😏 Lol...(And? I really don't mind THAT term at ALL either.) Another old school METAL drummer here, obviously. Cheers, 😏🥁🤘🔥🤘
Sino huviera fallecido Gus la neta q cuidadito Slayer heeee....este grupo para no le pide nada ....poderosicimo Grip Inc 😁👍 nos regala momentos agradables
Personally From my point of view these guys were wicked and yeah lots of people where I live gave me shit about the fact that I was always going on about Grip Inc and Pungent Stench at the time after 1996 probably too much but yeah well. But wow now I'm thinking na man they were cool and a great fucking band. Enjoy.
I can't believe how awesome this sounds despite having just one guitar. Waldemar Sorychta's riffs are FUCKING AWESOME!
I remember when the first album came out. Dave Lombardo was playing so I took a chance. Glad I did. Grip Inc has some great songs.

Yes. Been on a Grip Inc binge lately. I left it for a while and came back to it. It is actually better than I remember it.

До сих пор мурашки по коже, как в моей молодости, мне 48. Грипы форева.

One of my favorite bands... only four albums but what a discography... and a very sad end.
Energy is power, power of inner strength. Love that record.

was there! dankenschon mein freund
What a groove!
Most of the high power vocalists in metal tend to be less impressive on stage
Gus added 4 new dimensions to power on stage
amazing
Dave knows what his do and and anywhere to choose to come, coming all the band s in top

I shook hands Gus Chambers in Stuttgart
Holy fuck Lombardo surrounded himself with floor toms.
Best way to end a Geip Inc. live show. With a rhino.
