thank you for tackling the subject of social media. I enjoyed this podcast and agree 100% social media is all consuming for our youth and young adults. alot of time is wasted scrolling that time could be used for better things.

I already made a big comment on The Smiths channel last night when this topic was discussed, so I'm not going to repeat that. I think Granger brought out the real danger with social media. Even when you're trying to do something good, like Granger posting his Bible verses, you have to wade through this minefield to get on and then get off, and once that stuff is in our mind, it doesn't go away. It has an impact, even if we don't notice it at the time. I dropped everything but TH-cam, and I think my life is much better for it.

I agree with you. My father before he died 13 years ago said social media would be the downfall of us all

I think it's a great idea! My 10 year old granddaughter is definitely addicted to TH-cam unfortunately her parents don't understand the dangers 😢

I find it very appealing that you take time to take your own temperature and see where your heart is landing and then you share that with others. Some never even think about it…. So thank you for bringing it to light. ♥️🙏🏼♥️

All parents should read The Anxious Generation! It’s so good and will help parents stand their ground on all the bad things that come from smart phones & social media. The recommendation is No smart phones til high school (at the earliest). No social media til 16 (at the earliest)!!

my kids all have social media and it is all drama but they did not have it until they were teens. Teens hide behind screens and bully others. it makes them feel isolated and jealous. people only post the good they make themselves look good. At work the teens cannot stay off their phones. It is sad when you are visiting and having dinner together and everyone has a phone in their hands.

This is good information. I would love a podcast on more specifics on how you navigate this quicksand. It seems as if taking one step in leads to another. I don't mean to get caught up in watching things but an hours later, I think how did this time get gone so fast. My quicksand is trying to find encouragement (which is why I am on your page right now). It feels so good to watch positive, Godly encouragement. The world is a scary place. So the drug in social media for me is looking for the "how to" live in this scary world without feeling doomed. Yes, I read my Bible, have a sweet family. I am grateful. The reading of the Bible is good but I don't comprehend as deeply as you do. Nor do I know how to apply it as well. So maybe expand on some specifics sometime. I have tried Bible studies with others but they don't seem to be very productive. They seem to be weak.

Am I the only one who thinks Parker and Chase Elliott, the Nascar driver, look alike? I really see it when Parker is wearing a hat! As far as the phones in school, there was a time I would have said No, but after seeing what so many students have posted about some of the crap that teachers are doing and teaching in the classroom, I think I am for it. If it were not for the video's there would be no proof of what is happening. There are thousands upon thousands of awesome teachers who love our kids. But there are many that are evil and only in that profession to gain access to kids.

They shouldn’t band cell phones completely because when I was in school there was times I needed to contact my parents. This is also a problem the Democrats have they go to extreme.
