Should be mentioned that much like Midnight, Wii Deluxe pulls from existing custom tracks made by others. Although I believe the Deluxe Team makes fixes and adds proper intro cameras to tracks that don't have them. It's still a commendable and awesome mod though and it's a great way to experience Mario Kart Wii CTs!

That's exactly that when some tracks don't have/have poorly (from our pov) made intro camera we de/redo them to give more quality to the track :)
I love the idea of having every iteration of the SNES tracks set at a different time of the day (Mario Circuit 1 set at morning, 2 at noon, 3 at evening and 4 at night).

I'm pretty sure the reason for Mario Kart Tour not having triple red shells as an item is because of the whole frenzy mode shebang. Also, due to how the triple green shells works in that game (you throw all 3 at once unlike main Mario kart games), triple red shells would be extremely useless in that regard since all 3 would only target that one opponent that's ahead of you. Same is true for golden mushroom, the reason golden mushroom doesn't exist in Mario Kart Tour is because you have mushroom frenzy mode that essentially accomplishes the same effect so it would just be redundant.

Troy said 200cc on this mod is only 1.1x the speed of 150cc instead of the normal 1.5x speed that Nintendo does, so that's why you couldn't tell that it was 200cc. It's like that so each speed class is an increase of 0.1 each time, so 50cc is 0.8x, 100cc is 0.9x, 150cc is 1.0x, and 200cc is 1.1x.
Now when I see all the original speed classes, I can't blame the Wii Deluxe to just have a x1.1 speed for 200cc. Sounds to be logical to me.

We really appreciate that you enjoy the mod ! I wanted to clarify that a good amount of the Mario Kart games tracks have variants of themselves so for example for SNES Rainbow Road you got the MK8 variant but you could have gotten the MK7 or the original one, those variants aren't choosable sadly so you'll never know which one you'll land on.

Some 3DS tracks don't even need gliders (looking at you, Neo Bowser City/Koopa City and Rock Rock Mountain/Alpine Pass)

11:50 I think I have an idea on why Tour doesn’t have triple red shells. So Tour does have triple items. It has triple mushrooms, triple bananas, triple green shells, and even double bob-ombs (it’s not triple but it’s the same idea). But the thing is, unlike normal games, you can’t strategically use one of them at a time. When you have a triple item, using it makes you use all three of the items. So like using a triple mushroom makes you use all three of them at once, but makes it the equivalent of using three mushrooms consecutively. Triple bananas makes you throw all three of them in different spots, as well as double bob-ombs. And triple green shells makes you throw all three of them in a line. I guess with this functionality in mind, it would’ve made it hard to make the triple red shell work properly, because all three of them could possibly end up targeting the same player (which would be useless). Then again, it is a bit strange though because the Lucky 7 is in Tour, and correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure you can strategically use that item like in normal games.

Actually every retro track has a few different variations and one is picked at random when picking said course. For example, SNES Mario Circuit 1 has “Original” and “Remake” versions, and SNES Rainbow Road has “Original” “MK7” and “MK8” versions.

magikoopa bike was already in the base game however there was a kart/stat rebalance so FK Bowser Bike isnt actually that great in Deluxe however Peach Zip Zip is pretty Good imo or Waluigi Honey coop
