Cash money video. You finally taught me the difference between a key/cross slot and a rail and saved us from ordering the normal sub model for my wife’s Rose 365XL comp
Thank you! This was exactly my problem, and why the light would not stay connected to rail after five rounds. I knew something was wrong and you nailed it! 👍
Thank you very much for the clear explanation. I’ve been trying to decide between the 7 sub and 7a for my Xmacro non-comp version. I don’t like how the sub version seems to protrude more. I’m liking the looks of the 1913 setup shown in this video. Will be checking out your holsters a s a thanks for the video!
Imagine I knew nothing about rails and lights and I was getting glock 23 gen 5 and p365xl both witb tlr-8ag streamlight and TLR-8 G Sub For SIG P365/XL while also trying to find holsters. Thanks to we the people and also your video I somehow made it work.
Ty for this video. I almost messed up and ordered the sig tlr7sub thinking it was the correct one after switching it in my cart for 1913, now I guess I’ll go put the 1913 version back lol you saved me
The number 1 rail key gets it in tight to the trigger guard but your product extends up higher into the rail slot so I just bought one. The 1913 slot gets you almost half an inch away from next to the trigger guard and unless you have big ass hands it sucks.
Just fyi, I got the TLR-7a flex and with that, my SIG p365 xmacro tacops works PERFECTLY with the universal 2. With the flex, you get the 1913-1 through 1913-4, and universal 1+2. Maybe the tacops is different, but mine uses universal 2.
Hey man thanks for this video. I ordered the sig light but I am exchanging it for the 1913s now. I knew I did something wrong when the light was loose and not flush to the rail. Thanks for the clear explanation.
I’m so dumb, I bought the wrong one when I first got one. Now I want to order one with the laser but make sure it’s the right rail. I have the x macro, and got the one for the sig rail instead of 1913 one.
I've been trying to decide between the Sub and 7A. I don't see a 1913 rail with the 7A though, unless you buy their "key kit" I believe. But everyone on Reddit still recommends the 7A.
Noob here. Just installed this exact model on this exact gun. My thumb seems pretty far from the switch of the light. Is it meant to be closer or are you meant to activate with your trigger finger?
There is an option to buy only 1913 rail clamp and modify tlr7 sub? I'm asking, because I bought Sig rail for my P365, fits perfectly, but soon I would like to buy P365 FUSE and there is also propably 1913 rail, like in XMACRO ;/
Just made this mistake and bought the Sig versión for my xmacro. Do they sale the 1913s rails separately? Or am I gonna have to return it and get the right one?
@@HenryHolsters That same day I contacted them, they said they would send me the rail clamps at no charge. Just got them today on the mail (5 days later). Great customer service from @Streamlight
It's a little more compact, which allows us to make the holster slightly narrower. Every little bit helps when it comes to maximizing comfort and concealment.
We don't offer anything compatible with it, and many other holster makers haven't developed molds for it yet either, so I don't have any recommendation for you.
No, it doesn't. Sig made the rail position on the AXG Legion lower than on the polymer version, so the light sits in a different position, and will not fit the holster properly. It's frustrating, but very typical of Sig.
What Streamlight # key do you need to mount the 1913 model to the X macro? I have a 1, 3, 4, & 5. Missing 2. The rep said it’s the #4 but there is still some front to back wiggle. What’s everyone else using?
We designed and manufacture our own key specifically for that combo, and it's included, for free, with every Ember holster for the X Macro that we sell.
I made this mistake and bought the Sig version. I wish I would have found this video beforehand! Is there a rail key that I can get for the Sig Sub version that will allow it to work on my x macro or am I screwed?
Contact Streamlight CS and ask for the 1913 rail clamps. The light bodies are all the same, and the rail clamps are removable, so all you would need to get in order to convert yours from the "Sig" version to the "1913" version is the 1913 labeled rail clamps.
You don't have to order it. It's included for free with every Macro Ember. We don't sell it separately. Not all customers have the full range of keys. It's much easier to give them the exact key they need than hope they have something close already. And ours fills the entire cross slot. The #5 key doesn't. So there's that...
The #5 key will give similar placement, but the #5 key is undersized for the X Macro cross slot, so there's more slop and variability in the placement.

Which model TLR did you order for your wife’s 365XL COMP?

The 1913-3 key worked great for the trl7a

I was looking for the reason why TLR 7 Sub did not work in the x macro and the Holster and this video showed me where the error is... Thank you

Curious as to your opinion of the TLR-7 SUB? Why did you choose the TLR-7A over the sub?

I found that using key #1 makes it fit pretty perfectly on my Macro
REALLY??? #5 was perfect for me. That’s strange
Just picked up my xmacro ember with the lightbearing enigma and I feel like I could sleep in this thing 😂 man what a comfortable setup thanks Henry! 🔥
Thank you!
What hostler you running and how you carry?

Great info. Any plans to develop a holster for the X Macro & Tlr-8 sub with the 1913 rail?
We removed the TLR8 from our lineup over a year ago, and have no plans to bring it back in any combination.

Nice video if you had a holster.
Now the question is are the clamps available separately?? And if so where

Where do you sell your rail key for this?
I can't tell from the video, which rail slot does it mount on, the one closest to the trigger guard or the middle slot?
you are a hero sir
Can you put a link so we know we’re getting the exact same thing please
How did you get the light flush to the trigger guard? Mine wont sit like that
Great video

Great video, sir thank you! 🫡👍🏻
Just be careful it’s hard to find holsters for certain light 365 combos
Thanks for sharing oh most bought the wrong one

Will this work with the P365 Legion as well? I have a RDS and TLR-7 sub (1913)
Our current Ember holsters aren't compatible with the AXG Legion, but we are working on an Ember for it.
With the tacops having no compensated barrel would it require a different holster? Even if the slide and the light combo sits the same way?
It should fit the same in the Ember.
So I did make this mistake but if I buy the 1913 one do I still need a key that doesn’t come with it ??
You should be able to contact Streamlight and get the 1913 rail clamps by themselves, but you will still need our rail key to use our Ember holster.
Great Video. Thanks.
PERFECT, thanks!
This why my light keep coming off my canik mete mc9
Awesome info
do you have a link to where i can get the rail key for the tlr7sub 1913. thank you.
Tommy, the key is included with every Ember for X Macro holster, but we don't sell it separately.
Is there a reason you like the TLR7 Sub vs the TLR7A for the XMacro?
It's a little more compact, which allows us to make the holster slightly narrower. Every little bit helps when it comes to maximizing comfort and concealment.
Which holster model would you recommend for the Sig P365 AXG Legion with the TLR 7 sub (1913)?
We don't offer anything compatible with it, and many other holster makers haven't developed molds for it yet either, so I don't have any recommendation for you.
I’m assuming this works for the 356 axg legion since it’s basically the same gun?
No, it doesn't. Sig made the rail position on the AXG Legion lower than on the polymer version, so the light sits in a different position, and will not fit the holster properly. It's frustrating, but very typical of Sig.
@@HenryHolsters oh, that’s good to know! So based on your video, I should be ok with just the light. Thanks for saving me a headache and a few bucks.
What if I obtain a 1913 key and simply use the same clamps/mounting bracket?
Do the brackets/clamps sit too high?
The Macro requires "1913" rail clamps. The P365/XL requires "Sig" rail clamps. They are not cross compatible.
Where can I get your rail key?

Which TRL for the California version
You'll want the "Sig" labeled TLR-7 Sub that fits the proprietary rail of the P365 and P365XL.
@@HenryHolsters looks like the light sticks out quite a bit farther on the CA Compliant one
@@jasonharrold6686 the video shows a P365XL. The CA compliant P365 has a shorter barrel and slide, but uses the same light.
What key did you use on TLR7 sub 1913 for the p365 x macro?

I guess I’d like to know if the Trl-7 Sub will work with the new Beretta APX A1 Compact/Centurion?
I don't know.
This is helpful thanks
Not sure why i would need to order your key when the provided #5 key sit flush with the trigger guard.....
You don't have to order it. It's included for free with every Macro Ember. We don't sell it separately. Not all customers have the full range of keys. Yes, the TLR-7 Sub with 1913 rail clamps works on the P365 AXG Legion.
@ thank you 🙏
Is the rail key something you’re selling separate?
No, we're including it for free with every Ember holster for the Sig XMacro, but we're not selling the key separately.
Is there a similar problem with Glock?
No. The Glock setup is much less confusing. There's only one set of rail clamp that fit it, so it's hard to get wrong.
@@HenryHolsters Thanks!
I can’t find the rail slot anyone has a link to it?
www.henryholsters.com/product/xmacro-rail-key/
Where can we buy your rail key?
We include one with every Ember for the XMacro, but don't sell the key separately.
Your rail key would be equal to a #5 from Sig. Just wanted to mention that.
The #5 key will give similar placement, but the #5 key is undersized for the X Macro cross slot, so there's more slop and variability in the placement.
What grip is that on your XL?
That's a Sig grip module worked over by Boresight Solutions.
I made this mistake…
